    Absolutely remarkable video. I'm writing a paper for my Thermodynamics class in my bachelors Mechanical Engineering degree and you did an absolutely wonderful job explaining the hard to come by concepts for this problem. Your channel is truly a hidden gem you deserve much more from youtube man!

    why did we use the specific equation to part b instead of using the other equation for a single inlet and outlet?

    hi, why didnt you take the value of density from the table?

    Sir, can we use the Cp formula (h=Cp*(T)) in the last part of the question to calculate h1 and hence the final temperature

      @engineeringdeciphered  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      generally dH = CpdT is less accurate than property tables, and is useful for smaller temperature differences so I only use Cp when told to or when I don't have property tables.

    do you consider using other programs such as refprop to be as accurate as interpolating by hand?

    Why did we make the assumption it is an ideal gas?

    Hi Sir,
    Just a quick question. Which table do you use to get the height and temperature?

    • @engineeringdeciphered
      @engineeringdeciphered  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      h is enthalpy. I’m using table A-17 (the air table) in the back of the book. You get h from the equation and then take that h to the air table to find the temp.

    Can i ask why we didn't use density of air?

    • @the9red9one

      specific volume (little v) is the inverse of density which was used
