Chris Farley was a precious gem. He would wreck himself to make us laugh without reservations. He deserved better, even in a van down by the river. We miss you bud.

Well put...except I think a van down by the river would've been just what he wanted. So long as Spade, the cheesecake factory and a pay phone to call his brothers were nearby.

I love how this movie is able to have such sad and serious scenes when the dad dies and still be one of the best comedies in my opinion. I feel like Farley could have been really good in dramatic roles if he had been given the chance.
So true! I was surprised that it took that turn, but it didn’t feel unnatural or forced.
He was originally chosen to play Fatty Arbuckle in a biopic, but things went south because of his drug addiction.

One of the greatest comedies of the decade. Good Job... I don't think anyone else has reacted to this one. So many classic lines from a great duo Farley and Spade.

That shot at the wedding where they're running up to see how Big Tom is doing, then the shot switches to them looking down at the casket...the more I see this film the more I think that's a genius way to do a scene change.

Classic Farley! He plays a good lovable oaf. You're right, it really is a feelgood movie in addition to a comedy.
I really enjoyed it! I can’t wait to watch some of the others that were recommended with him in it
Farley and Spade were such a great comedic team. Black Sheep is another great film of theirs. The scene in this movie where Richard is pretending to be the maid for housekeeping was taken from real life. Spade would do that to Farley everyday they filmed and Farley would fall for it every time.
I've always loved how Tommy accepts Paul into the family and loves him immediately. Paul turns out to be a con artist but still. Very sweet of Tommy.

Chris Farley was a living legend, but legends never die, they stay with us as we carry the memory of them on. I recommend watching the biography on Chris Farleys life, it’s very well done and provides commentary from his family and friends.

Don't know if you've done any of these yet. But I'm just throwing them out there. The Exorcist, Jaws, Die Hard, The Godfather parts one and two, Scarface, Capricorn One, Death Wish (the original starring Charles Bronson) Poseidon Adventure (original that had an All-Star cast) Doctor Strange Love, Paper Moon, Almost anything by Clint Eastwood. I could go on forever. So many reactors seem to concentrate on movies only from the last 30 years. Especially if they are about comic book characters or superheroes. There are so many great movies from the '50s to the early '80s. That I think you would enjoy and would be worth reacting to. Take care stay safe and be well.

@@NiaMakiReacts Most Reactors don't do the classic Hollywood ( and others less popular but still great films ) from the 50's to the mid 80's. Every once in awhile when I see a reactor who does one. Sort of a one-off or an occasional look into those films. They always seem to get great feedback for doing so. Thanks for getting back to me !
