Yeah dude, this games biggest Downfall is the absolute braindead team mates you end up with. When I play with competent players like clan mates we just dominate. But in randoms you can only carry so hard
people are so scared of taking the first 10% damage, so they sail around and do nothing until they make mistakes and lose the rest of the 90% in 1 minute like a fkn scrub. noobs
There's just too much HP available to farm in superstructure. I wish the heals didn't pump the superstructure to insane levels of HP because it absolutely neuters survivability. I'd like to see a test on the PTS where BB's have reduced HP available in superstructure. I don't think it should be French DD levels of saturation, but something a bit less than it is now and see how it goes.
Same thing happens in my Lenin. Once in a while I get a good game but most of the time I get farmed/killed by DPM HE spam if I try to show myself anywhere to get into the fight, let alone push on a flank. Just isn't worth playing for how she performs in the current game.
imagine Kremlin with a division where your division teammates are in Napoli or in a smoke DD. they help you, the majority of the random team working with you, Kremlin would cut through half the enemy team in that case. but when Kremlin player is alone & most of the teammates died one by one fighting the organized enemy team, Kremlin opens last dying gasp ...
@@recarunu868 yes, but I feel like most bbs would do well in that scenario. the problem is that Kremlin is unable to fight alone, and its success is almost entirely predicated on what the team is doing in the match
Sherman is stress relief. If you have a string of defeats with tater teams, you just switch over to the machine gun boat and abuse everything within 15 km. Its pure joy in three barrels.
Somehow the DPM is historically accurate because the 5” 54 MK 42s had double loaders that allowed them to spit out 40 rounds per min which is a 1.5 sec reload, which is the base reload in wows.
@@kevinthechuker1721 Realistically yes, they could reach that as their absolute peak. Albeit they were pretty much NEVER run at that speed or for any significant stretch of time because the strain it put on the loading mechanism and the heat it put into the barrels at such a staggering rate would quickly force them to stop.
I like one takes. It’s the most honest representation of this game. It’s not flashy highlight reels or rampages. That first match is your average World Of Warships match. You dying a long and painful death, trying to play the objective and maintain map control, while your team of sub 48% WR weekend warriors sail in circles contributing nothing or die instantly.
I play in it regularly i get like 2.5 M average potential dmg. I think it comes down to the fact that you pushed against dmp DDs that were not missing, and got no team support + arms race. I definetly tank more than that on avg in my Kremlin It's really the ship in wich you're like "ok i'm gonna die" and then you somehow don't
if you see at 6 mins in video enemy team has all buffs (2 damage and 1 realod ) but allies have 0, nothing to blame on kremlin tankyness like you said its just team being stupid
Honestly i love arms race. it makes things more interesting, having ships healing passively making the battles great if they dont fold a flank instantly. The Sherman is why you melted, he was throwing SAP right into your superstructure from pretty close range, he was eating 900 per shell according to WG UI, so he melted you in less than like 100 shells with the dmg buffs added, plus the other halland shooting he at you.
Ahoy hoy PQ. From some one who plays Kremlin often. With the proliferation of DPM machine gun DD’s it’s really common to just get burned down quickly. They just rain so many shells and often work together to focus you. I do enjoy her. Prop mod with concealment and brisk make her nimble. I never sit bow in anymore. I keep on the move, go dark and use brisk to reposition and pop up in a new spot. I have totally changed my play style with her over the years. Plus she is a monster in ranked…sometimes…lol
i actually like this take. funny i play a lot of my boats this way now for this exact reason. Yet I never thought for a second to apply the same idea to a Kremlin.
You're missing alot of shots because the game is moving your camera to the back turret... After you press SHIFT to aim Press C to move the camera to the front turrets... I know you know this... However you almost never use it... The game is buged... The accuracy is fucked up around your camera... It has always been this way
Since the new camera patch, I did notice this was going on. As well as other strange stuff with aiming, not to mention the railguns bug... The zoomed in aim used to default to the front turrets, not the back ones. WG: "Our game is not bugged." Sure mate... sure.
@@seamon9732 yes... However I'm talking about something in the game since the beginning ... I used to be a BB main... And i was very good at it... Basically when you press SHIFT the game will zoom in from the turrets that are the farthest from the target... I tend to get both AA skills on my captain to keep planes as far away from me as possible. With super carriers becoming more common I find it is a must.
I would say it is still incredibly tanky, potential damage I feel sometimes has to be taken with a grain of salt because it really depends on what shooting at you, against AP it feels indestructible but just like all BB's you can still cook it down and as fires are % based damage having more HP isn't as helpful as it could be in that situation. I like the advice about using the first 2 damage cons aggressively you mentioned this in an older video and I have been doing this ever since in my German BC's and Russian BB's and it really does help mitigate allot of early damage not to mention before I would often die with 3 damage cons still available.
I maintained a super unicum rating for every single Russian BB through the grind but I'm barely green stats for the Kremlin. Power creep has really screwed it over

Kremlin used to be the boss... A long time ago. Now, it's a shadow of it's former self. I personally prefer Ohio. I'd argue that it's even tankier than Kremlin because of those heals.
9:26 I get the more I play this game the weirder I seem but you can get roughly the same job done by Gun Feeder by just tapping the 1 key then firing your AP, now you auto swap and you keep the pressure on, and likely make the other BB think you are going to stick with your AP that will still be dealing fairly good damage or knock out guns. Gun feeder to me is just a waste of a point, and while most of the 1 point skills just kind of suck, I think Emergency Repair Specialist is just the best pick for Battleships. I also really don't like Grease The Gears on ships with good enough turret traverse like Kremlin has. 30-34 seconds really isn't that bad, and you would likely get more out of Brisk, Vigilance or even Priority Target. 32.5knot speed is nice for getting into position faster than the other team is expecting you to, and the 7% extra torp damage reduction is just nice, PT letting you know when people are launching torps at you as well is also just nice, and all serve you better than GtG when you already have a traverse speed that keeps up with your reload. Though you are free to use what ever skills you want, I just don't see GtG and Gun Feeder as worth it.

But that the whole problem with Destroyer captains nowadays. They do not understand how valueable they are late game. So the just yolo to get some torps of. Not understanding they are meant for spotting and area denial (halland great example of this). So many games is see they rush in gets spotted and are too far away from team then get melted and just die, and let your whole flank be vulnerable by the enemy dd. Ook should play more CV and learn to play via the map instead of the screen to be able to learn situational awereness
I always tell new dd players to not rush the caps when out numbered. No matter how much your patatoe team mates scream. Late game DDs are often what win matches back that where lost.
Those can't spot, even if they are getting shot at, you don't spot the ship, only see the shell tracers from the AA guns. They also can't damage surface ships, only subs.
I just notice, both match PQ have a same teammate - montana player. And he do really well in both game(2k5 base xp in game 2). Both of them carry the game so hard XD
Bow in Kremlin is just not how it's best played nowadays, you must fire and maneuver near your concealment range or near cover, go dark if you can when things get hairy and rinse and repeat, especially at the beginning of a match. Sometimes you can go bow in when you have a good flanking position with crossfires and/or solid support. That's the only ways I can play it right now with any success. Getting caught bow in and farmed like like you did in the first game and second upto 17:30 is a good example of how NOT to play Kremlin nowadays.
As a new player which line for BB would you recommend? Got to t9 in all other classes. I have trouble with long distance shots frustrating with them going around the ship I aim at... It's like my dispersion makes a ship shape hole that fits perfect what I'm aiming at
2:25 PQ, you re a much better player than i am. But you MUST take this shot. The aimlock holds for long enough and that Yoshino is begging to get punished. Almost bite into my fist after you let him get away with that :D You re too kind to potatoes sometimes.
How do you get the dot to work on showing the running lights above the ship again? Since running lights got put into battle expert i do not get them anymore.
I wonder, is the problem battleship tankines, or is the problem HE/SAP? Like, no matter what you do, HE/SAP just shreds. It's not the same as being clapped for 40k from one salvo, but it's like 700 to 2000 damage every few seconds.
No matter what against a carrier your helpless, unless you have defensive fire up on a good AA ship the carrier will get a strike off and suffer no penalty for losing their entire squadron making all AA useless. I even follow ur advice and stay grouped in carrier matches... Just makes the carrier strike all of us easier I think xD
I play CVs and I need to point out, outside of CVs like Kaga/FDR losing planes does hurt. That's why you will see better CV players dropping as soon as possible to save their aircraft because they know if they don't they are going to basically run out by the 10 minute mark of the battle. Grouping up is the way to go against CVs, always has been. You basically want to make yourself the least tempting target available. Nothing annoys me more playing my CV than the entire red team being two close together blobs, because I know I can't do anything now without losing my entire squad, because even if that attack gets off, the planes are not getting back, and it's 70-80 seconds to recover a single lost plane.
loved the kremlin. Was better in older meta sadly. Now days I go to borg or Ohio. Kremlin still is good in compositions though. So hard to dislodge from a cap area.
Through Alpha and Closed Beta testing, then open, time after time WG were told: - CVs are bullshit cancer. You'll NEVER balance them. - the matchmaker sucks. I wrote a long post about how it could be fixed easily enough as I had become something of an expert in it way back from release of WoT where it was spectacularly crap for 2+ years. - HE spam from light calibre guns ought NOT be a BB killer. It's stupid, utterly unenjoyable, and it will make the game spectacularly passive. In fact WoWS used to have an amazingly high Draw result percentage. WG's answer? Change the victory system, do nothing about WHY there were so many (yes, it still needed fixing, but they did a half-arsed job as they do with just about everything). Over the past 5 years I've watched it simply get WORSE in pretty much every one of those elements. What a surprise, LOL.
Expect CVs are fairly balanced, or at least are as unbalanced as everything else. Unlike every other ship class they have no ability to dev strike a ship without detonation, sure they spot, but it's not constant unless they aren't actively attacking, and unless they play from the front lines putting their very frail ships in massive danger, they take so long to get to the battle that they will be outmatched by just about any other ship type. The Matchmaker is about as good as it could possibly get without becoming abuseable. The only real thing they could do to make it better would be to pair consumables, so if one team gets a radar ship they both do. Issue there would be ships like the British Lights that could have radar or smoke, and if you just paired them based on what they had, it would give information to the other team that they shouldn't have. Would also cause issues for the BBs and DDs that have radar as they would ether have really long que time, or be placed into games against radars that are a lot better than theirs. HE spam is more annoying than dangerous. If you pay attention to post battle results you'd see you take far more damage from AP than HE 9 times out of 10. At least in a Battleship, even more so in the newer Battleships with stupidly thick deck armor.
Dude you're still thinking that WG wants you to have fun at this game. They _want_ blowout games, they _want_ fast matches, they _want_ the players to be frustrated. All of these things leads to people spending money. And if people are playing more matches faster, it means people are spending money faster. Stop thinking they're interested in your enjoyment. Thanks for the content though PQ.
he was spotted by sub and other DD as well. He should have tried blindfiring that Sherman instead of crossmap shots, this way he at least may damage it enough to scare it or eventually kill it. Sherman having 2 buffs on its dmg is definitely not a good ship to play against
Honestly what's that Daring doing? He should be out trying to find skirmishes with those DDs. It just hurts to see, seeing a DD hunter doing nothing, sailing about in the back.
I can't stand the high dpm DDs, they do way to much damage, not historical accurate at all. DDs back than were lucky to do any damage with their guns against BBs and relied on torps which still were not that good. DDs yea their OP.
Lol… yep. PQ, one of the best WOWs players in the world had no idea. One of the original members of O7 and 2 time winner of KOTS has no idea. Think before you comment.
HE farm was, and is still just so over tuned as a passifier for free dmg base liners as a low risk high reward play style it's just tiresome at this point... Everything new, just bow tanks and farms or spams HE over islands more, more, and more... Have we even once had a super accurate 100% glass cannon AP gimmic...? No, just food for the fodder nothing for the veterans. Oh and Subs can't go slower than 30 knots because it's boring, but dreadnaught BB lines deserve to suffer 18-22 knots. Of Course... Oh and Shotguns ;o
"Look only 28% AA left" guy you got down to like less than a quarter health before healing no shit. Whole video you sitting in open taking streams of fire like oh this should be tankier 🙄
Bruh closer ranges? I see my shots fly off everywhere or even flying short when I aim perfectly at like 12km. This things guns are so inaccurate, then you have ships like petro and Moskva. The Soviets knew how to design accurate guns so why is this thing so shit at shooting. I’m cool with short range firing but not cool with its accuracy, even at short range, which people swear by.
You don't understand how your HP went down so fast? You sat in a crossfire! What do you expect? That wasn't an unlucky first game that was a poor play first game. You have two islands to use and you didn't. If you sit and yell here I am they are going to take advantage. You try to blame your team. Your team can blame you for just sitting in a crossfire. It looked like you INTENTIONALLY gave up the tankiest ship on the team.
oof, harsh, direct, explained... I agree a lot of this, bit harsh, but he said they were going to farm him and he was ok with it. I dont know why you would give out free HPs. A scarecrow holding the line loses its value when it can't/never fights back. nothing should be given free. Even when conceding a cap you kite away and make them pay for it in HPs. This is really no different. Back up, make them leave the smoke to get an angle or sight on you, punish when exposed.
Your daring was healthy but avoided the battle. That daring threw the game. The Gearing didnt do much better. In fact most of your team are just awful, most players in WoWS are awful.

As a new player which line for BB would you recommend? Got to t9 in all other classes. I have trouble with long distance shots frustrating with them going around the ship I aim at... It's like my dispersion makes a ship shape hole that fits perfect what I'm aiming at
Montana is a classic newbie friendly first ship
Lousiana
2:25 PQ, you re a much better player than i am. But you MUST take this shot. The aimlock holds for long enough and that Yoshino is begging to get punished. Almost bite into my fist after you let him get away with that :D You re too kind to potatoes sometimes.
Hey Potato What 4k Monitor are you using ?
Tankiest w/ Kutz no doubt, however, I’d argue Preussen is even tankier
How do you get the dot to work on showing the running lights above the ship again? Since running lights got put into battle expert i do not get them anymore.
There's a separate mod. It was gone last patch but it's back now
Is it still called running lights? I can not find it on the modstation
Found it under mods interface/Movement indicator
Is the AA/Secondary indicators a setting in game, or a mod?
WoWs lemming train strikes again!
loved the kremlin. Was better in older meta sadly. Now days I go to borg or Ohio. Kremlin still is good in compositions though. So hard to dislodge from a cap area.
Through Alpha and Closed Beta testing, then open, time after time WG were told:
- CVs are bullshit cancer.
@@Stephen__White funny guy. CV’s are OP and break the game. Believe what you like the truth is plain to see
Mr potato quality PLS make a guide how to farm ""credits"" im struggling after uncloking 9tier X ships i keep going below 6million credits
@8:30 Pretty much every Kremlin game. I've moved on.
NEVER count on the people on your side hardly ever worthy of saying tean.
So where is Kronshtadt?
How can you tell how many secondary/AA mounts you have?
press b and hover hover secondaries /aa with your mouse cursor. or you could get a mod, theres one in mod statsion which displays it on screen
@@tahiribnmohammad5410 Thanks
@@berserker4940 sorry it's H buton not b :)
@@tahiribnmohammad5410 thank you again
I'd argue GK is just as tanky
Gunboat DD in smoke farming you? Rush smoke. But yeah, snowball effect game modes are "fun and engaging".
When i play the Kremlin it can't hit anything even when close range, i hardly play it anymore and it dies quick when the HE spam starts.
Lol your gearing spent 5mins next to a free buff only to not grab it and then charge into a halland, yoshino, and a GK
Seem you miss play on first game push too aggressive when you have no team support and not stop firing make you spot whole time easy prey for DD
he was spotted by sub and other DD as well. He should have tried blindfiring that Sherman instead of crossmap shots, this way he at least may damage it enough to scare it or eventually kill it.
Sherman having 2 buffs on its dmg is definitely not a good ship to play against
@@siriusczech yep agree.
OK, so Slava or Kremlin?
I have found the Kremlin to be extremely mediocre. I honestly liked the T9 better.
You have no idea.
Lol… yep. PQ, one of the best WOWs players in the world had no idea. One of the original members of O7 and 2 time winner of KOTS has no idea. Think before you comment.
Hot Take but one takes shouldnt be done in gun game
*Pushes too hard too early against a Gunboat DD*
"my team did not play well"
Potato, you were salty AF first game. Cmon man.
@@SininStyle Not being harsh I'm just direct and to the point. If I were being harsh there would have been some choice not so nice words in there. 😉😁
Your daring was healthy but avoided the battle. That daring threw the game. The Gearing didnt do much better. In fact most of your team are just awful, most players in WoWS are awful.
