I feel the same. I wish I had kept the magic alive. I honestly thought these were painstakingly made by a 100 year old man using tweezers and surgical loupes.
I was in a magicians club that never really went anywhere, but one time I won a raffle and got this tiny ship in a bottle kit. I had such a fun time building it but they are frustrating.
I'm kind of disgusted this is how it's done I expected some 107 year old Chinese man doing it with precision tweezers and tools and techniques that have been around for centuries
And finnaly after years of thinking about this when im in bed trying to sleep doing my homework gaming taking a walk doing working at school I finnaly know it and I can rest peacefully
I feel like the only one they cut the bottle in half, put the ship in, and put on the other half with a clear glue but they use such a thing but strong glue it looks like nothing was cut
I've seen a version of this the opening of the bottle is small and the body si wide and there is a ship there like wtf that method wouldn't work on that bottle 😅😅
It's something to simulate water so the ship looks like it is sailing. It could be a number of things, putty is traditional, plasticene is more common.
They use a stick with glue to glue part of the strings to the front of the ship then use a sticks with a razor blade to cut off the rest of the string. This makes it so the string holding the sails is glued down to the ship and sails stay up.
when I ws kid, maybe 5 or 6, my father would ask me stupid sht like this. Well I am 60 years old now and finally know how it's done. FU dad - you should have just taught me. I didn;t get it
The most anticlimactic search idea I’ve had yet
I feel the same. I wish I had kept the magic alive. I honestly thought these were painstakingly made by a 100 year old man using tweezers and surgical loupes.
I always thought they somehow built the bottle around the ship!
Same
Me too
Same 😂😂😂 was just debating with my bf and came to look
And here I thought they built the ship in the bottle
Jon Brown same
I thought they built the bottle around the ship
The bigger boats are made inside the bottles
Same 😭

I wish youtube was around when my grandfather was alive. I always tell people it's a working ship. Thanks for sharing 👍
and here I was thinking for years they just sliced off the edge of the bottle and put it back
LMAOO PLSS SAME 🤚😭😂🤣
Same
Same hahah
Oh so that's how they do it
This pissed me off for some reason, it shouldn't be that easy
J Garcia I had the same feeling
...Same...
same 😂😂
It probably takes years of practice
I know, ever since I was a kid I thought it was some kind of craft that takes years to master...this feels like cheating.
Finally, I can rest peacefully.
This is really cool and interesting and all, but did anyone else feel physical pain as they folded the masts down??
Haha same. I was worried if that would distort the ship
Yea, I was like “Isn’t going to get ruined?”
TH-cam...ruining the wonders of our childhood...
So that's how it's done? I always wondered how they made ships in bottles.
I always thought they just made the glass around it using two half bottles XD
@@DarkGravity03G or (according to the top comment at the time of saying this) building this ship INSIDE the bottle.
@@alexletiny5155 They'd need some very skinny fingers for that or something lol -and a LOT of patience.
@@DarkGravity03G or, yknow, long tweasers and surgeonlike persision
@@alexletiny5155 Yes, like metal fingers. Same thing lol jkjk
That's some good CGI. Real ship in a bottle is made by cutting the glass in half, then gluing it back together.
Bro what
My childhood question is answered.
I'm kind of disgusted this is how it's done
I expected some 107 year old Chinese man doing it with precision tweezers and tools and techniques that have been around for centuries
Same - I’m mortified
and then after he folded down the sails he realised there were no hinges under them and he had just snapped them in half
That man must be a genius lover
I always thought they built the ship from back to front using long tweezers and real small pieces
The sounds were very satisfying
Well the curiosity was far more interesting than the answer 😂
my curiosity was not satisfied and satisfied at the same time
Fun fact, they make real ships in bottles by folding down the sail masts, making the ship slim enough to slide through the bottleneck
This is like surgery
Does it stay put though?
sure, but how did special agent gibbs get his boat o u t of his basement??????
Lmao
Excellent 👍👍👍
Bravissimo 👏👏👏
Is this the Privateer Ship in a bottle kit
And finnaly after years of thinking about this when im in bed trying to sleep doing my homework gaming taking a walk doing working at school I finnaly know it and I can rest peacefully

Wait what about the ones made out of glassl
I’m here after watching The Promotion.
Why do I feel claustrophobic watching this
When I Was little, I thought people just made the bottle arround the ship
same bro same
that fast i nwas like how they do that.
I've seen a version of this the opening of the bottle is small and the body si wide and there is a ship there like wtf that method wouldn't work on that bottle 😅😅
Does it hurt the ship
Where can I find a ship like this I would like to try this hobby 😊
Buying something completely made isn't hobby. Build it.
Where can I buy this parts?
What is that blue goo in the bottle?
I think it's blue whale seamen. Arrgh
Plastaseal
It's something to simulate water so the ship looks like it is sailing. It could be a number of things, putty is traditional, plasticene is more common.
Who came here from good mythical mornin
me
Well I'm sure that this is a cool gift here just an idea.
Where can I buy these ships from
How do he get the strings off the boat
They use a stick with glue to glue part of the strings to the front of the ship then use a sticks with a razor blade to cut off the rest of the string. This makes it so the string holding the sails is glued down to the ship and sails stay up.
now to scratch off one of the things that is bothering my curious mind
Now take it out please 😂😂😂😂
So that's how they're made
Today my stupid search destroyed the magic for me , dammm you internet
Cheaters make a bottomless bottle, insert the boat then seal the end of the bottle
So that's how they do it.
Put this under solved Mysteries right beside Shrimp Fried Rice
CHISTOSO EL BARCO AUNQUE POCO DETALLADO
yeh very little detailed tho dont know why you needed all caps
@@Kirito178- YEAH ME EITHER
I am so disappointed… I though they used long tweezers to put the ship together in the bottle
Still didn't actually show us...
Well that explain everything
this is some next level shit
