Even after listening to this song in its entirety for 4 months it's still such a joy hearing it out in full. Flowdan is undeniably the star of this song but the production is absolutely fucking killer, love the throwback to 2000s dubstep (from the father of modern-day dubstep, no less.) That mixdown is cleaner than soap itself.
He's come full circle. Surely the old school London dubstep-heads can drop the hate for him now

Shrillex always puts a smile on my face when I’m feeling shitty…been waiting a while to hear how his sound has progressed…a genius of the frequencies.

This been a banger already but it makes me excited for how sick this album is about to be!
i feel like skrillex has always been ahead of the curve, especially with his sound design. His early influence on the music industry is undeniable, but there's something about his production style that separates him from others in the industry. I'll be honest, i don't listen to that many skrillex tracks anymore. But he will always surprise me when i catch up on things he's produced. Supersonic really stuck out to me when i revisited his releases. I was a big skrillex fan when he kind of broke the mold with his dubstep production styles. As i got older i started to venture out into other EDM styles, and i dont think that would have happened without his influence on the genre. After a while i started to get really heavy into Bass house, which led me back to him throughout the years. I have so much respect for his ability to stay true to his style while still evolving and staying ahead of his time.
Shoutout to 12th Planet for teaching him
He didn't really stick to his style these last years... Except for Supersonic and Rumble, the rest was shit and really not ahead of time. No where close to what Skrillex once was...

It's about as dubstep as dubstep gets imo. 140bpm, with the snare on the 3rd & an emphasis on sub. It's absolutely in line with a lot of pre-2011 dubstep, and underground "deep dubstep".

It's crazy how big of a range Fred Again.. has with his music. From upbeat songs like Dermot (in my eyes) to now a dark, underground song like this one. I love all of Fred's stuff and I think it would be so cool to see him make an entire album that consists of darker, more underground beats. It's also good to see Skrillex re-emerge! Takes me back to my middle school days!
Skrillex has been putting out consistent tracks, actually. You probably have heard a couple if you've been raving in the last year and a half. Chicken Soup with Habstrakt, In Da Getto with J Balvin, Supersonic (My Existence), etc.
Fred Again's mini album he made with Headie One has some of those darker sounds you may be looking for!

Flowdan's bars are awesome and he killed it on the song, Skrillex and Fred again.. also killed it with the production of the song that sounds like a Skrillex dubstep song. AWESOME MUSIC GUYS, THIS IS THE FIRST RELEASE OF BOTH SKRILLEX, FRED AGAIN.. AND FLOWDAN THIS 2023.

@@jheez6761 Skrillex, was the king of dubstep, in 2010-2014. But in 2014, he moved to produce trap and pop, and work with some Rappers like Rick Ross and El Chapo.
@@AeStelle7 I live in the UK and started listening to dubstep in 2007, I can honestly tell you that his version of dubstep/brostep or whatever he created was no where near as good as dubstep prior his arrival to the scene, if anything it sorted killed the scene off in the UK as it evolved into mainstream. I suppose that goes for any underground genre making it mainstream.
