    Really likes the colours on these shots, especially the ones inside the tube. Nicely done.

    I think the film matched the vibe I got with the very sci-fi announcer telling where each train stop was going to be. It sounded detached, dystopian, and so futuristic. Also, for some reason, I pictured London to be very bustling, like New York, and I didn’t see very many people, the lack of figures added a further dystopian feel. So put all those elements together, and then all these comments are saying that this film is meant to be cinematic, and you got yourself a film vibe-tone. The thing I like about your TH-cam channel is how much effort and time and care and love you have for this hobby. You really make the most of your surroundings wherever you are, and you’re not paying a ton of money to go traveling all over the world, you are making the most of what you’ve got right in front of you… Although I bet if you sold half your cameras, you could travel the whole family around the world at least once.

      Hey Lisa, London is super busy but I was there at Dawns crack so a lot less people ! (just how I like the world)
      I do enjoy doing these videos a lot yes, and can make something out of nothing.. see next video :)
      Thanks so much for the comment, and yeah some cameras are about to be sold!

    One thing about CineStill 800T is that it was designed for the cinematic world of movies and like you mentioned in the video, it’s something you like or don’t like. I personally love it! Specially if you are surrounded by neon light! Try CineStill 50D in the future Ant. You enjoy that as well! Great moments mate!

    Things are looking up and down , way down. The Canon does a great job with sharpness and love the cyan vibe to the film. Love the Underground and architectural images. Of course, a stop in the pub is needed when walking around London, LOL ! Such great photo vibes in this vid, Ant.

    Cinestill 800T looks pretty good for urban, especially in overcast skies. Not sure why many will not even touch it for daytime shooting. The only daytime I am not sure about is when it is completely bright and sunny. The sky just turns out weird. Great stuff!

      @AntMcLean  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Alex, I am not sure I would shoot it in daylight again but the moody underground stuff I loved

      I thought you need a tungsten filter for daylight but not sure

    Hi. I just finished watching this video, nine months after you published it. I really like several photos, mostly those on the subway, CineStill 800T in daylight, to me, it only add a bluish tungsten shade, that I even don't like. It is in artificial light that this film stands out from any other, producing fantastic, odd images, I would even say with lots of charisma. I used it twice, one night with a Yashica Mat 124, it was difficult because it started to rain, had to hold on the umbrela while shooting, so I took the 12 photos with the minimum speed, 1 second, which was too much. The second session was with a Minolta 7 and, all 36 photos ate nice, some really nice. I exposed to the mid-shadow areas and it worked 100%, with all the details very well recorded and spectacular pushing lights. Well, now because of your video, I will not resist to go tomorrow to Rebelcontraste, my usual photo shop, get a CineStill 800T and, have the pleasure of wandering around Lisbon at night

    Loved the walk around London, Ant!
    It wasn't what I wasn't expected at all but I loved it.
    Id love to try cinestill 800t.. id have to use it at night- i don't think it would be good for beach scenes!!
    Bravo as always!

    Brilliant work Ant! I love London and love this video! Always been fascinated by the underground and also this brought back lots of nice memories of meetings and previous work trips around these areas. I've eaten in the tossed near Liverpool Street and the Pizza Express in Leadenhall Market. As always, your creative skill is brilliant. I like all the shots you got and the nice touches to the video like the underground announcement voiceovers. Love the reflection shot looking up! Had me wondering what was going on and how you were doing that! Weren't tempted to climb the Lloyds Building then...?!

      Hi Ed, I love London too! its full of graet places to explore and everytime can be different!
      The Pizza express in Leadenhall in where I was eating pizza in the vid!
      That reflection shot was a bit trippy and so gald it came out well.
      Thanks so much for the support pal :)

    Your shots are absolutely beautiful. I've had my A1 since 1981 and it's still going strong. You can't go wrong with the A1. The 85 mm 1.8 ssc lens is spectacular. I strongly suggest getting one if you can find a bargain.

    Enjoyed your video. It made me get my A1 out again. My father bought it for me on my 21st birthday; 40 years ago now! If the shutter sound is a recording of your A1, then the shutter requires lubricating. Videos on YT how to do it!

    Nice stuff, I'm pretty much doing a similar trip next weekend where I'm planning on using a roll of this on the underground- you got some great results, which is encouraging.
    Less convinced using it outdoors in daylight- at least with a bright sky in shot. The cool tones work well when just focused on a building though!

    It seems that the color is not calibrated well. And try 85B filter next time when shooting outdoor

    • @AntMcLean
      @AntMcLean  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unless its calibrated to be bluer than a really blue blue thing! Thanks for the tip tho I think I will stay away from shooting it in the daytime again!

    Great video.
    What shutter speed, apeture were you managing to use on the underground shots. Did you push the film speed and push development or just standard iso 800
    Thanks

    • @AntMcLean
      @AntMcLean  ปีที่แล้ว

      The underground shots are F2.8 when using the 28mm and 1.4 with the 50mm hard to remember now exactly what shutter speed I was using, at a guess around 1/125 because I dont like hand holding below that! Developed as normal :)

    I'm definitely not a fan of Cinestill. The halations ruin it for me. I wonder if painting the back of the film back a matte black will stop the light from bouncing back onto the film causing the halations.
