These 1/8 scale Baja Bugs are the bomb! So cool and amazing details in them.
I printed mine early this summer and this thing is a blast. I absolutely love it. I take it for a walk in the woods with our dogs. My biggest criticism is the steering servo horn. They aren't the easiest to replace and they break too often [if you drive it hard]. I have gone through couple of PLA and PC blend servo horns but I just can't make them last. The spline wears out.
Other than that, this is very cleverly designed. The rear drivetrain design is brilliant and robust. I works so well. Great job 3Dsets team!!! I'm printing the buggy Model 8 as I type this.
Did you try using a servo saver, I’m printing the model 7 and When i printed the steering servo horn I was also concerned about its design. I’m thinking if a servo saver can fit in there.
@@ripmax333 Nice!! Good idea. I have not tried those before. The sub-assembly for the front end in its current design has no extra room for any adaptation. It would have to be redesigned to fit the servo saver for sure. It shouldn't be too hard to extrude cut some chunks out of the body to make things fit. Thankfully, the sub-assembly is fairly geometric with no curves. Thanks for the idea!
You printed all that with filamentum or Prusament? The prints are so neat!
This Buggy is from Fillamentum, but we print with Fillamentum and Prusament
@@3dsets709 regarding the servo arm used in model 7, it is possible to use a servo saver?

you could probably put a 911 body onto this buggy chassis with very little modifications, maybe to make it a bit longer
@@chanceym6000, unfortunately, you can't, the chassis and body are One unit, the best bet is to print the MK Ultra from cults3d and fit a Lexan body on it.
