I LOVE how you address that everything is accumulated over time. I know I stressed when I first started and my new teammate was beginning to stress because her room didn't have much to begin with 💜 (of course she got anything I haven't been using that's in good condition but still)
I absolutely adore your classroom Marie! The “write” and “read” signs turned out great! I love the little details in your room like the little flower peeking out of the can with the scissors -so pretty! The borders you made with the old book pages is so creative! I love it! I love it all! 🤗👍🏾❤️
AHHHHHHH! I am from San Diego, and went to the same school district that you teach in, I'm actually going to school right now to teach high school English! But you seriously teach one of the best districts in all of California! SO AMAZING! Love the classroom also! Good Luck this school year!!
Love your room! My district/state is crazy strict regarding inspections, so I have to be able to hide all lights, stuff hung from the ceiling, and a bunch of other stuff within 30 minutes’ notice... so I’m jealous, basically.
Ignore the haters! I LOVE your videos. You have given me so many ideas. I do wonder how you’re able to do everything AND make and edit videos. I would be totally overwhelmed! But don’t stop! They are great!!!!!
My fire marshal would have a stroke! I do a lot but am prohibited from having more than one strand of twinkly lights or anything hanging from the ceiling. Additionally, only 20% of our walls can be covered and everything has to be posted at least two cinder blocks below the ceiling. It's so frustrating! Your classroom is awesome!
Marie, I absolutely adore you! You are fabulous in so many ways! I LOVE the shiplap wallpaper and appreciate the restraint you showed by tastefully only using it in one corner! I also love love love your desk layout! I subbed last year and you would be great to sub for because everything I would need would be exactly where I would expect it to be! I brought my own “rolling classroom” around with me, which was the biggest travel bag that was still small enough to bring on an airplane and fit in the overhead compartment. I had everything a well-stocked teacher’s desk should have, plus a tin of other stuff “just in case!” Anyway, I live your style and panache in creating a sophisticated classroom that still seems like home to the students. Well done!

Can you make a video on how you deal with the distracted kiddos especially in high school. I feel like most of the strategies don't really work with high school kids.
I'm off work for two weeks due to back surgery and just found your channel! I'm so excited! Are you planning on creating a video concerning the interactive composition books? I'm very interested in seeing that. I have four co-teach classes (7th and 8th) and am thinking that the gluing and cutting (physical activity) may help my students to be more engaged in our lessons. They bore easily. Thanks!

I see your stash of drinks.... my question is how do you keep kids out of your personal food???? If I have food showing, the kids bum me to death. I teach 9-12 math.
