This summer we’re taking a closer look at twelve popular Bible stories and how they relate to our everyday lives. Today we study the story of the Good Samaritan, a lesson in empathy and kindness.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
1. Tell about a time you had the opportunity to be a good Samaritan and help someone in need.
2. What kind of feelings to you have toward the two religious men who passed by without helping their Jewish brother in need?
3. Pastor Rod suggested that true compassion for others is a key to knowing when you should be a good Samaritan and when you should “pass by.” What do you think about that?
