To then cut it up on the tailgate when you got back to camp ?
These guys waste nothing,
the reason for cutting the deer up at camp was for me to take it home and fit it into my fridge
You have to see to believe the effort that they put in to get the lot out 9
Yes like Shane said, we use absolutely everything. There is so much nutrients in the bones for bone broths we hate to leave it in the field and same goes for all the meat on the neck and in between the ribs etc. One hard drag out is better than 4 trips back and fourth in our opinion unless it's really way too far in 😊

Just a suggestion have you ever tried quartering the deer instead of dragging it out whole, I find especially in the steep country it’s easier to cut it up and pack it out

I was wondering the same, just comes across as full on first timers. Just saying.
Yes of course for anyone new to hunting or in general you certainly don't have to take the whole deer. We prefer to do that because we use all of the meat and the bones but of course if it was way too far in we would be quartering it up and doing multiple trips
@@theeliteonlinehunters Given you always have a long rope why not add two pulleys, one attached to the neck of the deer and the other anchored to an uphill tree? This means instead of pulling the deer directly uphill while muttering f-this and f-that you could pull the rope downhill using your own weight thus moving the deer uphill under 1/2 the strain. It may take a few more stages but it would be better than ripping a quad or a calf muscle. Just a small mechanical physics suggestion.

Love the new video guys. Just a suggestion though, have you tried boning out the meat and packing it out from the bush instead of dragging 50 kg of skin and bones through the scrub.
Keep up the hard work just don't make it hard for yourself . 👍
We use most of the deer so that's why we take it all 😊 thanks for the support on our videos though, really appreciate it 🙌👍

Good to see you both back. Great vid, nice editing. For all you new hunters, take note of the rifle Steph chooses to use. you don't need a 5k setup to hunt if you know your rifle and limitations.
Thanks Shane and yes that's exactly right. My rifle is just a standard Remington.308. lots of target practice and to be able to judge roughly how far your shooting definitely helps 😁🍻

Happy days in the bush, I've booked annual leave and this will be me next week! can't wait. since you guys take the whole animal, you should check out the portable petrol capstan winches, my mate got one and it changed his life, no more back breaking drag outs

@@theeliteonlinehunters Well I'm back from my 4 day hunt in the Mitta valley, 4 days of trudging up and down the hills, we bumped a hind and yearling on day one in some blackberries, the hind bolted so we took the calf, followed by lots more walking day 2 and 3, then day 4 we got honked at about 6 metres high in a gully and he bolted. did you ever find those reds in N.E Vic?

Dude get ur self a 4x4 UTV with heavy tires and crash bars. Take in in the bushes with you. An average person cant even think of dragging a dear for kilometers. Awesome effort.

I think losing that part where u shot a deer ,unless you don't recorded 🤔 whatever I enjoy the vid.
couple things for your future video's. increase the rec leve for the voices and decrease it hugely for the music .way out of proportion . Also learn the gutless method and invest in trekking poles and meat packs. you all made that look painfully harder than it needed to be.

Great to see you back in the field. I was about to check the if notification "bell" was still functioning! How far was that hind when you dropped her Steph.It didn't look too far in the video even with the zoom?A nice calf and a nice spiker by Markus.20m is close enough,good enough even for a flintlock .54 which I use! Can't wait to see how the tree stand/high seat goes.Thanks for a great vid.
Thanks Paul, my deer was about 100m maybe a tad less and yes Markus was extremely close to his too. Sometimes you get lucky but then again I suppose the more work you put in the luckier you get hey 😊 We can't wait to do some movies from the tree stand too 🍻😁

Hello my pretty girl., Amazing hunt, 🥰 and You pant 👖liltil bite opened ..
Can I make a suggestion RE dragging your dear up hills?why don't you get a strong light plastic sled gut your dear strap it to the sled tie your 100-200m lite strong rope to the sled then get the big Fulla to take the rope up the hill the way you want the sled to go untill you either get to the top or run out of rope.....at that point find a tree or rock pop a rope around it with a pulley, send the main line around the pulley and attach it to the back of a harness on the big Fulla who then heads back down to where the dear is while sledding the dear up to the pulley guided by the prettier one up the hill. when she gets to the top unlatch the sled attach it to her harness and head half way down to the big Fulla helping him up......likewise heading down a ravine she can be roped in front of the sled pulling with the big Fulla roped to the back as a anchor 3-4m either way. thought this may help ,,,,hate being people struggle unnecessarily. love to hear your thoughts on this and if you would give it a try.....great show by the way.
