Logitech M310 wireless mouse works for me, even before the update. I've been told the M185 works now, and that's only a tenner. Mouse with the external monitor was a game changer for me.
Some don’t like the mouse and monitor but like you I feel it was a game changer too especially if you’re sat back away from the radio. Thanks for visiting the channel.
Just updated the firmware June 2024. I have 5 various wireless Logitech mice - 3 of them M510, M550L & unknown do not produce a pointer on the FTDX-10, but work fine on my various computers. A M310 gives me basic movement around the screen, but only about 1 click in 10 gets any response from the FTDX - no scrolling. A M188 works ok, but no scrolling.
@@garym7317 Unsure why you’re getting these issues, saying that i am still using a wired mouse and find it is way more slick than any wireless i have tried.
The FT DX10 is a great rig which seems to be blossoming with the recent Firmware updates. As for the monitor I did a video with a link to a recommended display but it is currently out of stock. Thanks for visiting the Channel.
Updated my firmware the other day and tried 2 wireless mouse that never worked but now do.. 👍 way way better with the mouse function but also agree about having to push the function button would have been a great upgrade if on the right click..
With the 710, you’re able to right click on the mouse and enter the functions menu. Leave it to Yaesu for their inconsistencies. I have the Ftdx10 and love the radio but it’s a bit ridiculous that the 710 is able to access the menu with a right click and the more expensive radio, you have to press the button.
@@gtretroworldHi pal ..i was going to go for the ftdx10 its a lovely looking rig . I went for the 991A for coverage (vhf/uhf) as well as HF . I broke my warranty by fitting an sdrplay rsp1a inside as a panadapter and replaced the usb port too. It is a bit of messimg about but a lovely wideband display. So the ftdx10 does the panadapter straight out back ? Thanks for sharing .subbed
@@RabMac108AT10sixThanks for the Sub buddy..There is no pan adapter on the dx10,this is basically just displaying from the DVi,ideally a pan adapter would be a good idea for this too but for what i am doing atm it is fine.

After a short period of non use, my mouse goes to sleep. I have to click to get it to come awake. Usually, it's over the scope so it changes my frequency. Very annoying. I wonder if this is a radio issue or a mouse to get it not to goto sleep.
Really a broken implementation that forces reaching for controls. There should be a way to bring up Function menu, a way to keepalive the wheel rather than timing out, and a way to hover over freuency digit to adjust range from there, or a way to zero out least significant digits.

@@gtretroworldgood news about the firmware, I'd sold myself on the IC-7300 but pretty much sold out across Australia until the end of Feb...
Great informational video. I use the wireless mouse with my FT-710 all of the time. For me it's an asset.

A great video and I do need to buy an FTDX10 not bought a new HF radio since 2007, I do like the look of that Neil 🙂
Thanks Dave,Seriously it is a fantastic radio for the money.Tbh i am still finding my way around it but definitely recommended.

IS IT OK TO USE DVI D FROM THE RADIO TO A HMDI ON THE MONITOR
I personally wouldn’t unless you were absolutely certain the cable wasn’t drawing power as most do. I actually did a video on the topic last year.
Will pressing/clicking the mouse wheel do anything?
No unfortunately it doesn’t do a thing.

Every update is an improvement but they need to listen to the operators. A recent update to the FT710 has fixed the issue so fingers crossed.
