I love the ZL/ZR trucks you guys are doing but I must say that 22” wheels are a MUCH better fit on the OBS platform than 20”…just the perfect amount of wheel while still being able to run 35 series tires up to 285s or 30 series tires even up to 325👌🏼
The problem is finding a 22” tire that holds 900rwhp
@@StangkilrProductions yeah, but let’s be real…there’s not a 20” tire that holds 900hp either! Lol Nitto does make a 305/40R22 drag radial but it’d be better fitted as a 35 or 30 series. I run 315/30 22s on back (265/35s out front) of my OBS for daily driving but I run a drag pack for business👌🏼
@No Time Nation 20 will definitely hook better than 22. I would have a smaller wheel on the rear if it were me the sidewall really helps them hook more even with the same kind of tire and same width.
@@midnight347 IF you have the same sidewall height and width, 22 will actually hook better because there’s more rubber on the ground…but of course that’s limited by ride height too! So yes, you can usually get more sidewall on a 20…but I’ve got just as much sidewall as the 20s on the teal truck and mine are 315s. Still can’t “hook” for shit on my roughly 650hp on motor, I can still do 30/35mph rolling burnouts with new tires 🤦🏻♂️ Point being, at 900hp you aren’t hooking on either, even on 20/22 drag radials 🤷🏻♂️ At that point, might as well go for the look when daily’ing it and have a drag pack for trying to hook as I do👌🏼 All honestly, I still can’t “hook” on a 60 series 15” drag radial at full power on the street, need full 28X10.5 slicks AND prep for that! BUT, they do make 20” & 22” drag radials that’ll “help” hook from 35 and up, and both come in a decent sidewall…
That’s insane. You guys got worked. I know three Mexican guys that would have done that for 5 k and a case of beer.
