      Thanks! Yeah there is a very easy way to feed a vast amount of leopard geckos. It's called Mealworms. It is a small beetle larva sold in high quantities for low cost, and the best part, you can refrigerate them for 2 months and feed them slowly as you need!

In my next video coming this weekend I will show what those would look like! =D

    • @GeekyGeckoCreations
      @GeekyGeckoCreations  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No special needs but just be cautious that when cohabiting you may have one gecko more dominant and aggressive and hurt the other gecko, and definitely dont put two males together. Babies can stay together well into 3-4 months but once older than that, just keep an eye on agressive geckos, it happens maybe 1 out of 10 groups I have and then I need to separate out the agressors

    I have a question if you wouldn't mind answering it can I breed two super snow leopard geckos together and create another Super snow is that how it works ?

    • @GeekyGeckoCreations
      @GeekyGeckoCreations  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah! Ima do a full genetics video here over next couple weeks to show "how" the genetics work exactly but "Snow" is what's called an Incomplete dominant gene in leopard geckos. This means when a baby gets 1 copy from one parent only, the 1 copy of the snow gene mutates the appearance of the gecko giving it a "snow" look. If the baby receives another copy from the other parent, it now has 2 copies of the snow gene, and this mutates the appearance yet again creating what we call a super snow. So in summary, a super snow is a gecko that had a snow gene given to it both by the dad and mom of the gecko. That being said, if the Mom is super snow, that means she is already carrying 2 copies of the snow gene, and if the dad is super snow he also is carrying 2 copies of the snow gene, so when the DNA is split during breeding the baby will AUTOMATICALLY receive 1 copy of the snow gene from the mom and 1 copy from the dad, and thus ALL the babies of a super snow mom crossed with a super snow dad will all be 100% super snows as well =)

    Can I get a diablo blanc9 from normal leopards after years of breeding

    • @GeekyGeckoCreations
      @GeekyGeckoCreations  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, diablo Blanco is created from the eclipse gene, blizzard gene, and the albino gene. All 3 need to be present to create that morph. Although all mutations started at random at some point in the past. It Is highly unlikely those mutations will spontaneously occur over time in anyone's collection. Possible yes, but very very small chance. But if u have all three of those genes hidden in ur collection, like let's say you have a mom and dad gecko both het for all three of those genetics, eventually if u breed them and their offspring enough you would pop out some diablo Blancos but the chances are very low, and that's if you are 100% sure each gecko carries all 3 genetic traits.
      Please take a Sec, if you want, and check out my recent 4 videos on leopard gecko genetics. They r labeled 1-4 and I think it would help a lot to see visual examples and hear in depth explanations. Hope that helped and let me know if u have more questions 😊😊

    how do you get the giant gene?

    • @GeekyGeckoCreations
      @GeekyGeckoCreations  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is a gene that spontaneously popped up in I think Ron Trempers collection years ago and now it is just known as a "dominant" gene in the hobby so anyone with a giant should be able to get the gene to pass on 50% of the time and a super giant 100% of the time. However to my knowledge there is a lot of inconsistencies with the gene, for example some giants are bigger than super giants and some normals are bigger than giants. In all honesty, im not sure if anyone has specifically narrowed it down completely yet, but Kalico geckos is the guy to talk to about Giants, he ONLY breeds GIANTS :)

      Do you have any pictures? you can PM me on IG or FB or Messenger as well, if it is easier, but if the gecko is albino and "super snow" the eyes will be all black because of the super snow gene, the super snow with albino keeps the eyes all black, the other thing is sometimes albino eclipses that have the "black eyes" really have more of a "blood red" eye color that can look black sometimes and red at other times based on the lighting, but pictures would def help to see. :)

      U have good punnette square knowledge so i think you'll get this but if your gecko was labeled 50% het tremper albino, since tremper is recessive, that means one or both of the parents were only HET and not VISUAL which means they only each carried 1 copy of the gene and therefore all babies that are NOT visual trempers are then labeled 66% the odds are reduced from 1 out of 4 in a normal punette square to 1 out of 3 because the "hobby" removes the "visual" expression out from the punnette square...1 out of 3 is 66%....but whn only one parent carries the HET tremper gene most breeders will label the babies 50% het for Tremper, and therefore 50% not het...does that make sense?
