I have the reissue after owning the original and this is a lot more durable and will last longer. I wish it had bombs but I like it plenty. The rapelling system works but it isnt the best as well. A difference of opionions doesnt make this a bad review! Great review man! I would say this is a way better asthetic blimp for hanging....save for it has NO way to hang it

We bought this blimp for my 8 year old who loves TMNT. It's garbage. Why would they advertise mounting supports on the box/picture if they aren't actually on there? Totally misleading and false advertisement from Playmate.
well at least the artwork for this box and the turtle van box are pretty awesome! it gets me hyped just looking at it! This toy is total bullcrap and a total money grab. Shame on you, Playmates and Nickelodeon! To quote AVGN, this toy is a "$hit load of &uck!" Thank you for the review and hopefully saving people money!
Such BS it doesn’t have the mounting support like it says it does on the box. That’s the only reason I bought it is to hang it from the ceiling. This is Miss advertising does anybody have the phone number to call to get a hold of the company I can’t find it anywhere on google I am very disappointed
Such a shame about the playability of the toy, as it looks amazing (the scale of it 😍). Equally it’s not good that there is nothing on top so it can easily be displayed. Win some, lose some I guess. All the best pal 👍

I wasn't very impressed by the reissue figures either. They seem less durable with thin cheapo weapons so I resold them to buy good quality vintage 1988 ones and added extra core characters. I don't need a blimp - my amazing 1989 sewer playset meets all my needs.
I was going to buy it with the sole purpose of suspending it form the ceiling BUT with no hooking points on top, its gonna be a pass, its way to big to put on static display on my shelf. UGH!
The mold for the original plastic section is probably lost that’s probably why it’s using a later version of the gondola. I doubt new tooling was in the budget for these.
I wonder why they call it a "reissue" when it's a *hybrid* of 2 different models of the blimp 🤨
Sounds like it might be worth getting this for the blimp part alone, then hunting down an original lower part and fitting the two together.

I think that is my only issue is that it does not come with some sort of mounting support.
Took me 10 seconds to inflate mine. I took it into my garage and used my air compressor.

It is a pretty huge let down, because that's the main reason so many collectors bought it!

Didn’t like this glider,should’ve just made it the original..figures are made softer less durable like the originals.

Hello. I just bought this Blimp. Can I inflate it with helium?
You can; however the vinyl is too heavy to float effectively. And if you attach the bottom part there’s no chance it will float.
