Should have been all original. Even if it cost a little more. 40-45. The balloon is most of the toy and that can’t cost more than$5 to make in China. If I walk into Walmart one day and it’s just there, sitting on a shelf, I’ll get it. but I’m not going out of my way to get one. and I’m sure as hell not paying a re-seller online.
I'll never forget when I first got my turtle blimp for Christmas back in 89. . It was gift wrap under the tree n every day I'll would go to the tree to just look at it... I was counting down the days, the hours , the mins n seconds til Christmas came . When I finally got to open it n played with it I think I played for 14 hours straight the first time..lol... good memories...
I'm happy that they are trying to recreate the box art as well. I really need to try this one down. I'm still hoping for a TMNT sewer. A NECA one would be awesome
Man that glider is so disappointing, I liked the rereleased party bus cause a few stickers is an easy fix. But that glider doesnt even evoke anything of one that could be seperated and played with separately. That was part of the love for the original design just like in the show.

hopefully someone will bless us with a 3D printed fix to this glider design. it needs it or it's a no sale. But I love that the blimp is printed correctly. The original I got for x-mas when I was 5 yrs old was molded together like mismatched wallpaper.
I live in the middle of Missouri and walked into Walmart around 9:30pm and saw with them all still in their shipping boxes on a pallet waiting to be opened to be put on the shelves. I walked out with all 4 turtles and the party wagon. I also ordered Michaelangelo online a few days before and when it arrived it was Raph in the packaging so I picked up both Mikey and a fresh Raph while in Walmart. I was very lucky that evening!
These TMNT Walmart Releases are hard to come by. I found Raph and the Party Wagon in store, got lucky online with Mikey and Leo, but had to get Don from ebay to finally complete the set. I'm keeping them mosc because of the awesome artwork like the very first 1988 releases, the figures themselves aren't that good quality wise, even the Party Wagon seems to be made of thinner plastic. I do have all the originals which I'm very happy with and these 2021 releases are for the box and cardart in my collection. I am hunting for this new Blimp, if I run into it online or in stores I'll get it but no resellers pricing on this one for me.

Did your blimp come with the mounting supports loops on top? Mine did not have these although the instructions and picture on the box did have them. Disappointed I couldn't hang it from the ceiling for my kid. (sorry just watched the whole review. I can't believe they advertise the mounting support, but don't actually have them on there. Would have made this purchase much better.)

Never had the original blimp as a kid, had so many other turtle vehicles and accessories, but never had this one. Several of my friends growing up had it, so I played with theirs when the chance came. I'm probably going to rig up something with fishing line.

@@cooltoy for some reason around here in Texas, Mike was the hard one to find, I could regularly get all the other 3, but not the nunchucks master himself - then recently he was abundantly available, Party Wagons too...... starting to think that it's a region thing and if you happen to be in different areas of the USA you'll be able to find what's short in one area is plenty in another... good luck fellow TMNT fans!
Interestingly enough, I found the 2012 Turtle Blimp at GoodWill for $4 about 2 months ago. It was only missing one clip to hold the Turtles and I found a replacement part and now its complete. So since this one is basically the same but using the OG Blimp, I'm going to pass. The box art is awesome but for me its not worth it. It's disappointing considering how close the go the Turtle Van that was just reissued. I don't understand why they went this route. It's not really a reissue if its not the same or super close to the original.
2021 Playmates is lazy and greedy. They lost or broke the mold for Movie Star Splinter, so they just re-painted 1988 Splinter with limited colors. 1988 Bebop's legs and shoes now are plain black-ONE color!

Where do they typically stock any of these in the Walmarts. Is it usually on the same aisle that the MOTU figures get put out on. I’ve never once seen any of these rereleases in store. I set a brickseek alert for the party wagon at least a month back maybe two, and have never got a single notification about it. Is there a particular day that is better for restocks than others?
Yep you’ll find these on the toy aisle, not all Walmarts carry the turtles stuff though unfortunately. My local stores typically stock the toy aisles on wednesdays

You could easily purchase the original front landing gear from the 88 Blimp and attach it to this. That’s what I’ll be doing

Probably gonna have to run multiple fishing lines underneath the inflated part in some type of a criss cross pattern then balance it accordingly.
