I have done that drive from Phoenix to Flagstaff many times when I lived in AZ - that almost 7,000 foot climb in Elevation in 145 miles will push your engine but good. Flagstaff is higher elevation than Denver, CO. Pretty drive though - try and stop at Arcosanti if you get a chance, neat artist 'colony'. That looks like Lake Mary where you were parking - not sure if it is upper or lower Lake Mary. It was nice to see Flagstaff again, nice town, great outdoors activity year around.
If you download Google Earth and you put the GPS coordinates of where ever your going in search , you can usually get the street view of where ever your going by dragging the little man off his pedestal to the blue line
If you have never been in Flag before, you should check A-1 Mountain Road. It is amazing and has wonderful cell service. Another great spot is Naval observatory road. I have seen full size buses in both areas last year. Marshall Lake, where this video was taken is a great spot too.

I went to the App Store, and downloaded their app. It will be a great supplement to Allstays Camp & RV. I like how you research your potential camp site. On your drive up there, one thing became evident: the satellite view does not show the incline of the roads. That camping area you found is especially beautiful. It’s the kind of place I’d love to spend a few weeks in, as well. Happy Camping
Worst comes to worst and if your still up there, MM 392 off the 89A nice dirt road and plenty of camping. You'll definitely fit and its free. The dirt road is wide and its rd 237 but DON"T get on the 237 from I17 or you'll be in trouble only from the 89A bud! Happy Trails

Chris, in regards to the propane tank that you almost left outside...you should always, always, always, do an outside walk-around before leaving to go anywhere. even if you hadn't leave the tank out there, you never know what could have happened since the last time you were outside. you could have driven over a nail on the way in and had a slow air leak, and now a tire is flat. if you were away from the rig for any amount of time (such as a hike), someone could have unknowingly messed around with your fresh water and busted the door open to get to it. if you always do at least a quick walk-around, you should notice anything like that and potentially prevent catastrophic events from occurring.

You were thinking about buying back Zepp 1 hell yeah get it back put it on a trailer so you dont have to mess with the drive shaft then you can scope out the camp grounds with it before you take in the bus. Just a thought

Hey Chris, have you used Coconino Nat'l Forest's Motor Vehicle Use Map (www.fs.usda.gov/detail/coconino/landmanagement/projects/?cid=stelprdb5356224)? I did this exact thing last week with Campendium and the Google! We were planning on boondocking up there by Sunset Crater before the weather hit. So we headed out to NM. I wish all National Forest sites have this but you can see where you can set up a dispersed camp. Great rundown!
You can park at the casino 20 miles east of flagstaff...they are rv friendly. also, there is dispersed camping south of williams. maybe 2 miles out of town,
I really miss the west .... so many more camping options than the southeast. I read a comment below that the area has a lot of skunks so looks like Kobuc will have someone to play with :-)
I think that's where 'We're the Russos' stayed at too. You need to take a day trip with a car up to Jerome, AZ, you won't be disappointed in the least man.
I hate to say this but if you keep publicizing all of these spots in a couple of years they won't be available and free anymore you guys are giving up to much info.

That’s gotta be the best schoolie conversion on TH-cam! With that short of a wheel base you should be able to negotiate any turn
