      I created a whole new design and link page. Followed the steps and got the same result. Is there something in my settings I should change. I have a Canva Pro account.

    Hello, I have done all that but when I share the link it changes my master copy, so I do not understand what am I doing wrong. It says LIVE LINK IN GREEN. PLEASE HELP!!!

    • @rhondamjordan
      @rhondamjordan  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, to test the link, try logging out of Canva, then copying the link into another tab and attempting to open it. Alternatively, you can try opening an incognito window in your preferred browser to test the link.
      Either way mentioned above should prompt you to click "use template in a new design." I think you may be experiencing that problem with it changing your master copy because you are still logged into Canva. Let me know if that works.

    Thank you for the template. My question is how do I Change my name on the “template created by name@?. It’s not showing my shop name it’s showing my personal email name. I would like for that page to state “template created by terry’s party Shoppe” instead of my email address name. Thank you for any assistance

      Hey! The way that I would resolve the name that is showing is by going into the Canva settings.
      You can get there by clicking on your picture or icon in the upper right-hand corner of your Canva account. Click on "settings", then click "edit" on the right side of the Name section. You should be able to add or change to your desired name. Don't forget to click save after you change the name.
      I believe this will resolve the issue you are describing. Thanks for watching!

      @@rhondamjordan Hi Yes it works! Thank you so much! Hm I am also wondering, when you share the link template, do you change The Collaboration Link too, there are two options in there : Anyone with the link and only you can access. so which one should i select? Thanks

      @@WenWen-tg4uk - Glad that worked!. I have always left the collaboration link set to "only you can access" and then I create the template link.

    Hello, I followed your tutorial on how to share a design as a template. However, when you click on the link and the template opens, it says at the botton "Edit Template" and below that "Use Template For New Design". What am I not doing to either my link or do I need to change my design to something else? I have tried logging out of my canva account and downloading link to another computer. Thanks

      Hello, thanks for your question. I created a template link and then signed out of my Canva account. I copied the template link to another tab and it says "Use Template for New Design" as you mentioned. From there, the person you shared the template link with should click on the link that says "Use Template for New Design" to begin using the template you shared. Edit template should only show if you are logged into your own account. I apologize if that wasn't made clear in the video. Does that answer your question?

      Thank you so much for the prompt reply. This problem is so frustrating. I followed the tutorial. I created a page that would be delivered to the customer as a pdf with the link to the template. I downloaded the link page to my standalone computer. I than attached the link to an email. I opened the email in another computer than does not have the Canva app loaded on it. So the link would open Canva in a browser. I closed the Canva app in my standalone computer. Opened the Canva link in my laptop and it still shows the same thing. "Edit Template" and below that "Use Template For New Design". This has got me stalled in my tracks. Any help would be appreciated.

      @@monnig52 - So since you are using the desktop version of Canva, is it possible that even though you are using another computer, you are still logged into Canva? You should only get the "Edit Template" option if you are still logged into your account. Here's an example: My Firefox and Google browsers are synched so, if I switch from one computer to another and log into either browser, everything is the same across my account. Meaning, that if I'm logged into a website on one computer, when I use another computer, I'll still be logged into that website. Try logging completely out of Canva, then click your template link. You should then only see the option that says "Use Template for New Design" which is what others with your template link should see. Let me know if that works.

      I thought that may be a possibility. I sent the link to my daughter via email. She is in another town, so I'm waiting to hear what happens when she clicks the link. Please keep your fingers crossed!

      Hello, I think I may have figured this out with your assistance. It all has to do with signing out of Canva and any account associated with that Canva account, ie Gmail, etc. just as you suggested . Your help was invaluable in me understanding what I was doing wrong. Please keep your fingers crossed that I have in fact got this to work. Again, thank you so very much! Great informative and easy to follow video.
