This is icon of the Far East Asia...Carabao in the Philippines and Water Buffalo in vietnam..
I work at a small processor in bc. It's nice to be part of something that has been happening the same way since the invention of refrigeration.
Water buffaloes are docile and very easy to handle. They seems a bit slower than cow but farmers in Asia love them and consider them at higher value than cow.
They’re not slower. They do more work.
@@ErikAndrew-q2p They are definitely slower than cow but stronger. This is why you say buffaloes do more work.
They created the cow (beef) bc oxen were too smart(hard to handle).
@@BarBeeHoney Oxen can be harnessed to work on field very easy, Asian use oxen for thousand of years without problem. For special type of farming like rice paddy, water buffaloes are better.
Thank you.
Wow! How cool!!
Water buffoles are amazing for dairy as well....
hear you on small slaughter houses needed RFK spoke about changing the system back how it was

Wow i thought nobody have Water buffalo in United States 🇺🇸 i grew up with water buffalo they are very calm animals unlike any other animals some hunters don’t know and shoot like African buffalo or a normal animals you can train them and working for farmers they are really to hunting like other animals i feel sad to see them got shooting by hunters
Yes they are good when tamed .But feral and wild one are menace they charges at anything.
Ever heard of Buffalo mozzarella cheese.. ? That’s where they get the milk.
Well… I think most people raising water buffalo are breeding them and they come from domesticated stock, no? You’re not going out at capturing feral ones. Haha. All wild cattle are unpredictable, and so are domestic ones, too, they just get more accustomed to people.
I’ve been to this one and another large buffalo ranch in Florida. Love this whole niche
@@tagerimoRimodomestic water buffalo are more docile than other bovids
Lived across the road from a water buffalo farm north of Naples. They were milked to make mozzarella. Interested to hear what your business model is. God bless

Price is the biggest barrier to buying local meats from a butcher! However, if a group of people could buy a side on a subscription(monthly or bimonthly) then maybe it could be a cheaper solution for all involved!
So what percentage fat in Water Buffalo meat?
I'm not sure buts its very lean. th-cam.com/video/EGzGaGC5Btg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=dc1QKh7TrBHEMdXj
it's usually less than 5 percent
It's very high can reach upto 8%
Our bodies need fat, it’s why we can survive on rabbit meat.
The exported "BEEF" from India, is always buffalo. Hindus there (except in some states) forbade slaughtering of the sacred cow or bull
