You mean, buzzed. He is probably a rad camping friend, I have one like him in the us. We would get into the best shyt together because of his attitude.
Most 4x4 channels would make ten, twenty minute videos to cover camping shelter options. MCM gives you everything you need to know in 10 minutes. Truly the BEST off-road channel on the internet!
I got sick of tent camping in the PNW so I just bought a 29 year old Ford Econoline Conversion Van with a straight 6. Only came with front seats so I put diamondplate foam padding down in the back and an inflatable mattress. It serves as my Daily and "Get Away Vehicle". Brings me great joy.
I bought a 2010 dodge grand caravan for under 2k, ripped the stow-n-go seats out, and camperized it for less than 1k. Plywood platform turns into a couch, roof box, awning, diesel powered heater, extra deep cycle battery. Love being able to charge my Ryobi batteries on the go.
😂 I would argue that at the pinnacle there is only large stationary campers constructed of bricks or wood framing but without wheels for saving weight. You get the ultimate in comfort, amentities and security for your outdoors with only a small mobility drawback. Plus tip! There are huge campgrounds where you can erect them called “Suburbs”👌 They have running water and electricity even!
I'm almost sold, now can I take this pinnacle in camping technology to a dusty, wet s*** hole in the middle of no where and pretend I'm having fun while smelling like an old fart?
Big camper trailer culture here in Alberta. I feel like a peasant in my 29ft travel trailer because it’s not a 40ft 5th wheel with 5 slide outs and a toy hauler in the back 😂 shocking how many giant truck and trailer combos you see.
That was pure informative entertainment, had me creasssing, maybe not as much as the shirt but been here for it 😂 My parents also upgraded again to the Holy Grail, the Static Caravan, problem is we ain't camping either. Love from Wales 🏴
As a former tent camper that upgraded to a resin shed (8'x8' Shed-room w/a cot) at our property I finally got fed up with having to haul my crap back and forth, and all of the set up and tear down... I had a "Moog moment" (Pros vs Cons of every option) and finally upgraded to a hard shell camper! Well... A 37' Fifth Wheel trailer that I got a great deal on during COVID. I don't care if some people call it "glamping", because when the weather goes to shit we can all go inside and be comfortable!
this is the best kind of sarcasm, it sounds utterly ridiculous, but it is bury with nuggets of truth, and some times the lines are blurred so much you cant tell the difference.
We have a 23' hybrid camper trailer and love it. The couch is on an automatic slide out, and the 3 beds pop-out with canvas. For us it's the sweet spot
Camping solo I do so sleeping in the back of my Pajero on top of a drawer system that includes a 30L drawer fridge. With the wife we now have a small camper trailer. Sets up in minutes, bed on each side, not big enough for a double but oh well. It is the size of a 7X4 box trailer with a cage & canvas cover. There is a 3X3m annexe as well if we are staying fir a few nights otherwise we sit out under the awning on the car and enjoy the weather. Does us well.
I love this hyped voiced squeezed through contempt, you guys are the bees knees, I am a fan for life. Ps - nice realistic pinky in the mattress fold, must be Marty’s rig.
At this stage of life, if we're on the road, we're staying in a nice B&B, not clogging up roads with underpowered cars pulling caravans or underpowered RVs barely pulling themselves...
My father and i bought an ex touring bus here in nz (Hino custom 50 seater) for 5k, and stripped and fitted for 5k for a camper. Every amenity you could imagine and we can fit the 50cc scooters in the luggage compartment, bikes in the back for kids, and tow our ford falcon on the back on an a-frame. Hardest part was electric and gas certification, fabricated the rest. Fireplace, stainless benches, 2x queens beds and 2x bunks, shower, chemical ablolutions, 6 seats, dining area etc and all super cheap and looks great! In my opinion, this way is far better value for money and has definitely held its investment. Show us some mighty bus mods!!
20 years road tripping and car camping up and down the east coast. You left out the best budget, no compromises portable sleep system. The tent bed. Started with a Kookaburra tent-cot called tentabedu (there's a song about it and everything, like the TRD laser,) and 15 years later upgraded to tenatbedu two electric bedaloo which is an oztrail easy fold stretcher tent. That cost me $199. It sets up in minute, it's off the ground so not cold or muddy, it's mesh so no bugs, it's a full size bed so I can stretch out properly and it's about the size of a gym bag so it goes in with the gear. hang a tarp from the roof rails of the car to the nearest tree and I'm undercover and comfy wet or dry. low budget, no drag, low weight cost ...tentabedu, winner!
This is the best option for a weekender absolutely. For when you want to go camping with mates but don't want to sleep on the ground in a crappy tent, but also don't want to put a tow bar or other nonsense on your car. Also been using one for nearly 20 years. You just like the experience of sitting around a campfire, enjoying some bevies with mates and taking 5 minutes in the morning to pack up and piss off back home for a hot shower... :)
That shirt pronounces the grayness of your beard and eyebrows immensly. Great choice for the vid! Your attention to detail is what made this enjoyable to watch, even though it was absolute nonsene and shittalk
Don't forget moto camping! Eno hammock, underquilt, mosquito netting, and rain fly. Packs up super compact on a bike and is pretty comfy for your off road adventuring
Certainly shows the difference of opinions or views between city and rural people. Where I’m from we use swags and roof tops, roof tops are usually preferred as they fit 3 comfortably, take up less room and importantly you can set them up most places without worrying about snakes and getting smashed by pigs at night. We do t all go to pretty manicure campgrounds like a lot of city people tend to do the swag is not always a get option in some spots.
Yep, dingos, snakes, wild boars even spiders and drainage channels during the wet season are not a worry up top, good for solar too, angle into the sun better if you park right.
@@82muli That is in the 80 zone. They only drive at 85 ( or lower ) when they have trapped someone else behind them, Overtaking lanes, uphill, at least 110
I grew up having all of my holidays in a touring hard shell caravan on caravan sites. In the UK they’re really common and not expensive, many of them are made here. It’s not my thing though, I book an air bnb! I would find more rural or forest camping more appealing though.
You Two's content is the 🐐best. I'm a huge fan. Please, just keep doing what you're doing. Thank you so much! ❤ Oh, quick question: if you said my name on your show can I use the audio?
One of my very best friends is RV'ing across America as we speak. Last check in they were at a camp ground near Donner's Pass. Told them to watch out for strange meat.😅🤢🤮
$200k triple-axle caravan for me, please! And a fully kitted out $250k Landcruiser to tow it with, too. Gotta have the supercharged petrol V8 so I can cruise along at 80-85 in single lane then as soon as an overtaking lane shows up, floor it and speed up to 120 before slowing back down to 85 when the overtaking lane ends.
There's a solution for every level of adventure....but I agree, roof top tents are dumb and save at most 10 minutes of set-up time compared to a tent. Pop-ups are dumb too, it's a whole lot of stuff that can fail just to save 12 inches of clearance, i bet most weigh more too. My vote is the class A van, class C RV, or some sort of minivan/suv conversion. It will get you close enough to the action for you to stop, get out on foot, kayak, or bicycle and explore nature instead of just driving through it.
I had to look up what a "swag" was... guess it's the same thing we call a "bivvy bag" in the US... as a backpacker, I see the occasional ultra-light nut rocking one, but they're fairly rare on the trails I've been on.
When are you going more in-depth. Road trip each type ? When I drove Suzuki's , tent was good. When I drove 80 series to Cape York Tent was awesome. When I camped at Bathurst 1000. Tent was the winner. If people think your poor they don't steal from you. 😂😊 The poptop van sounds ok tho. Great video boys.
Take a Mitsubishi Fuso, do the single wheel conversion and turn the flatbed into a camper. You know you guys want to do a build solving all these issues. Make an Earthroamer.
The only way I want to go camping... There is an old Van Damn ( not spelt correctly but who cares ). The BIG black truck that, when it pulls up, pops out in all directions. Universal soldier. Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, 1992 )

As a camping person. This video was more real than most videos out there.
Best 4wd channel EVER! 25hrs a day/8 days a week!
Moog is having too much fun 😂
Grandma says hi and wants to know why your shirt isn't ironed.
Lol 😂
Lol it's intentional, so that you don't dare assume that this is part of his wardrobe.
I got myself a JDM HiAce 4x4 van. Perfect for bush and camping.... Try turning around a caravan halfway up a mountain track.
Most 4x4 channels would make ten, twenty minute videos to cover camping shelter options. MCM gives you everything you need to know in 10 minutes. Truly the BEST off-road channel on the internet!
This is the second best 4WD channel. Everyone knows MCM is the world’s best 4WD channel.
Oh man, I love imagining caravans. Thanks for that boys.
Finally, someone has said what we’re all thinking about roof-top tents!
Definitely the best 4x4 channel around.
No bs, no product placement, just raw facts 👏👏
No product placement? You weren't paying attention...
This is actually the best video you guys have ever made. Including all that top gear rubbish also.
It's pretty weird seeing the World's Best 4x4 channel in these parts of the interwebs, but I'm not complaining 😂😂

If you watch the end, youll know your won and are on to something
Ah Moog, this legitimately feels like a this is your life vid. Every stop, every station...can't wait for the tow vehicle episode.
Sydney Bogan reviews camping!! 😂😂😂😂
This I going to go viral if picked up by LadBible!
You need the upside down pineapple symbol on the outside (its a symbol for swingers. Found at most caravan parks).
And if you find yourself on a cruise ship… same😂

Excellent video. I didn't realise just how much camping and 4x4'in a needed in my life until I watched this. Best 4x4chanelxfar
I sleep in my 4x4 ! While watching the Best 4x4 channel !!
I love camping, but a ranting Moog is funnier! 😀
Best adventure gear vid ever and you just flop it out like that !
Luv it x
