I am a Christian but praise Allah for giving us the example of the Prophet and his Sahaba. The story of the orphan of Quraysh going on to found the largest empire the world had ever seen is incredible. To know that it has been preserved so well and told so beautifully is amazing. No one can hate Islam or its prophet or followers if they actually take the time to LISTEN!

The answer of the third question (What is Ruh?) is mentioned in Surah Al-'Isra 17:85...
وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الرُّوحِ ۖ قُلِ الرُّوحُ مِنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّي وَمَا أُوتِيتُم مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ إِلَّا قَلِيلً
"And they ask you (O Muhammad SAW) concerning the Ruh (the Spirit); Say: "The Ruh (the Spirit): it is one of the things, the knowledge of which is only with my Lord. And of knowledge, you (mankind) have been given only a little."
When Yasir Qhadi starts speaking about how in the past certain groups were dehumanized I couldn't but think it may be our turn. Just look at the you tube comments on many videos pertaining to Islam and you would see hordes of people that want every Muslim man woman and child to be extinguished. It's really heart wrenching to see!!
Most of them are 12 year olds, though. I never give them much attention.

24:11 BLESSINGS OF A MUAZAN:
The prophet ﷺ said that if people knew how much blessings they would get in giving the azaan & standing in the first row, they would draw lots to do just that.
a. Hadith in Ibn-Maja, when a person gives azaan then any being or thing that hears their azaan will testify for him on the day judgement.
b. Hadith in Bukhari, the prophet ﷺ told a shepherd, whenever you are in your lands give azaan even if you are alone (it is sunnah to give the azaan) because no jinn or inss (i.e. human being) will hear your voice except that on the day of judgement they will testify to it.
c. There are many more ahadith about muazans of them one is that on the day of judgement the Muazans will have great honour & respect.
d. Now just imagine the level i.e. darajaat, the blessings of Hazrat Bilal-ibn-abi-Rabah (r.a.) where the prophet ﷺ himself heard his azaan at least for 10 years in Madinah and some years in Dar-ul-Arqam in Makkah, in total over 11 or 12 years, 5 times a day. Imagine the prophet ﷺ himself testifying for Hazrat Bilal (r.a.) on the day of judgement.

10. The Quraysh imposed an economic boycott on the Muslims
In the 7th year of the dawah, all the Qurashi tribes came together and decided that they needed to kill the Prophet Muhammad SAW. So, they went to Abu Talib again and told him to take the blood money they were offering, for the life of the Prophet SAW, or to face a complete boycott from the Quraysh. Abu Talib staunchly refused their proposal and thus the boycott began. The Muslims and the Banu Hashim/Muttalib, as a result of the economic boycott, decided to go into self-imposed exile, in the Valleys of Abu Talib, just outside of Makkah.
In order to solidify this boycott, the Quraysh created a treaty and put it within the Kabah. The boycott lasted 1-2 years and during this period, the Muslims eked out a rough existence by drinking rainwater and defecating like animals. Every few weeks, some people (like Mut'im Ibn Adi or Khadijah RA’s nephew) in Makkah would feel sympathy for them and send some food which, helped them a lot. Despite the bleak circumstances the prophet SAW still gave dawah.
The boycott ended due to several reasons. Firstly, the Prophet SAW made a dua to Allah SWT, asking for the Quraysh to be hit by a famine and this is what occurred. Secondly, there were some people within Quraysh, who were soft hearted and managed to sway public opinion against Abu Jahal by coming together and openly confronting him, about the matter within the Qurashi parliament. However, the final blow, was a miracle when Allah SWT caused termites within the Kabah, to eat up the Qurayshi treaty, except for the word Bismikallahum. The Prophet SAW then told this to Abu Talib, who then passed this information onto the Quraysh, But, not before making a deal that, if the treaty was indeed faded, except that one phrase, then the boycott ends. This is what happened when the treaty was check and thus the Muslims returned to Makkah.
Fun Trivia fact: During the Muslim boycott, Abu Talib composed a poem that many believe rivalled the ones hung at the Kabah.
Fun Trivia fact: The Hadiths are a type of Wahi. The hadiths are from Muhammad SAW but, his speech is divinely protected as a Prophet. The Qur’an on the other hand is directly from Allah SWT.
Fun Trivia fact: The main difference between the Qur’an and Hadith Qudsi, is that Hadith Qudsi has not been preserved in its revelatory wording. But, the Qur’an has.
Fun Trivia fact: Generally, Allah SWT’s names can be used by his creation, without the Alif Laam.
Fun Trivia fact: Suhaib RA was the only Sahabi who spoke fluent Latin.
Fun Trivia fact: Ammar, Suhaib and Bilal RA were close friends in Islam. Allah SWT praised them in the Qur’an indirectly in Surah Al An’am.
Fun Trivia fact: Muslims cannot use fire to punish or kill people in our Shariah.
Fun Trivia fact: There were Arab slaves in Arabia and not just black ones.
Fun Trivia fact: There is immense reward for giving the Azaan and praying in the first row.
Fun Trivia fact: Abu Jahal is the “firaun” of the Prophet SAW’s Ummah.
Fun Trivia fact: There are more than 100,000 Sahabah and we only have names of 5000 of them.
Fun Trivia fact: Khutbah al-Hajah is what we recite before starting a sermon. This Khutbah is so powerful that some people accepted Islam just because of its eloquence.
Fun Trivia fact: The Kabah was the social area, for all the people of Quraysh.
Fun Trivia fact: Abu Lahab was the first person to publicly oppose and mock Islam. Abu Lahab is the only enemy of Islam, of that time, who is mentioned by name in the Qur’an.
Fun Trivia fact: Abu Jahal is not an uncle of Muhammad SAW. But, rather a chief of Banu Makhzum, which was the rival tribe of Banu Hashim, the tribe of Prophet SAW.
Fun Trivia fact: Abu Talib never accepted Islam and the Prophet SAW did a dua for him and because of this dua, no one is being punished less than him in Jahannam.
Fun Trivia fact: Abu Talib was one of the most famous poets of the Quraysh.
Fun Trivia fact: When Abu Bakr RA’s father became Muslim after the Conquest of Makkah. Abu Bakr RA told the Prophet SAW, that he would give up the Islam of his own father, if it meant that Abu Talib became Muslim.
Fun Trivia fact: Each Qurashi tribe had a ruler but, there was no overall king.
Fun Trivia fact: Allah SWT says in the Qur’an that Muslims should recite the Qur’an in a moderate tone. So, not too loud and not too quiet.
Fun Trivia fact: The Qur’an honoured the Arabs and it uplifted them.
Fun Trivia fact: Jibreel AS taught the Prophet SAW how to do Wudhu and Salaah during the period of private dawah. Salah during this period was 2 Rakaah only and voluntary.
Fun Trivia fact: the state of Israel is called Israel, after the Prophet Jacob whose name according to the Bible was changed to Israel, after he fought an Angel.
Fun Trivia fact: Allah SWT calls the Prophet SAW a slave, four times in the Qur’an.
Fun Trivia fact: Dhul Qarnayn’s identity is unknown, he is not Alexander the Great.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, these are my notes on Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah series.
Please note: I HIGHLY recommend that you all watch YQ’s Seerah series, as I DON’T cover every single detail the Sheikh mentions. I made these notes primarily for myself but, decided my fellow brothers and sisters may benefit from them too. I no doubt will have made mistakes in my notes. All the good in these notes is from Allah SWT and all the mistakes are from myself. But, I was very meticulous and tried my best to make sure everything is accurate as the Sheikh mentions it.
You also will see I have added “Fun Trivia facts” under each of my notes. These FTFs are information YQ said that was off topic or not necessary to include in my notes for the episode. But, they were still worth mentioning hence the inclusion as FTFs. FTFs aren’t always HAPPY pieces of information. Sometimes they are very sad trivia. I just want to say that FTF is the phrase I used for them all collectively when making the notes.
One thing I wanted to do but am too lazy to do is, maybe someone could take the FTFs from under each “Episode” and make an Islamic reminder/information IG/TikTok account and post them daily or something. Could be a great form of Sadaqah Jaariyah.

A mistake, the tribe of abu bakr (RA) is not banu qahafa (15:45) rather banu Taym. Abu qahafa (RA) was his father.

they were killed at the same time, and summaya was killed first in the instance
@@WaqasAli-ct7ly If you listen carefully at 43:10 Dr. Yasir indicates that it's generally not certain which one dies first but he goes on to say that Yasir may have been killed first and that his wife Sumaya upon witnessing all this, was angry and bitter and rebuked Abu Jahl. She had no tribal protection and was a slave, a nobody to a primitive Arab tribesman who ended her life by driving a spear into her.

9. Tactic they used was torture
Those who had tribal bonds were protected.

Starved to death, beaten up to death.
Abu Jahal:
- business people- boycott
- slaves- killing, torture
- higher status he would talk to them.
- Camaar, Yasir, Bilal
- bilal considered his soul to be insignificant.
- ummaya ibn Khalaf- he would put him under a large rock in the desert and leave him there without food and drink.
- prophet ( SAW ) choose Bilal
If you do Ihsan Allaah will give you Ihsan.
Being A Muadin- anyone who hears will testify your Eemaan. Prophet SAW will testify for him in the day of judgement.
- they’ll have the greatest of honor in the day of judgement.
Khabab ibn Al arat- was Arab slave.

She gathered a gang together and they beat him up to unconscious.
She would use the hot iron to burn his back.
-We are prohibited to punish people with fire.
- the Duaa of prophet SAW duaa was accepted.
- got diseases that she has to get burned in her back &
- Ummar binu Khatab’s sister- was learning Quran from Khabab.
- Ummar used to pay more money to those who converted to Islam.
- khabab was getting a high sallary, it was known that anyone who needs anything will come to his house and take whatever, no questions asked.
- Yasir & Summaya, and their son Camaar.
- who ever says kufr in the state of hardship
- Abu jahal prosecuted the whole family.
- P - imaam has been filled all the way up her neck. the Son Of Summaya, the son of Summaya is upon the pure nature, whenever he’s given 2 choices, he chooses the correct one.

+Md.Akramul Hossen Estaghfurullah brother. That's quite a rude thing to point out. It's not easy talking more than one hour back to back, especially not when you're feeling ill as well. Drinking water every now and then isn't only normal, it's encouraged.

The Arabs didn't understand the idea of prophets of God, but certain types of prophet were known enough.
Alexander the Great is put into no less than four cultural contexts and we really don't know his faith.
Little knowledge of the Spirit by comparison does not mean no knowledge can be sought.
The truth about concealment and lying in Islam is unveiled here and no one in their right mind would blame a believer for doing that under threat of murder or torture.
Suhaib, Bilal, and 'Amaar being hinted at by 6.53 may be true, but little in Al Qoor'aan lists the name in order to evoke us better now a days.
How is it more offensive to attribute mistakes to the Companions than to say Muhammad made mistakes outside of conveying the revelation and inspiration?
Do they not know how even Sunni narrators spoke of Prophet Muhammad's dream about some of the Companions being drug to Hell for what they did after him?
