Hello, I’m from Mechelen (in French Malines) Belgium. The city where the Malinois is named after. A little "did you know" for the history: did you know that the breed started in Rijmenam a little village not far from Mechelen. In a castle called Weyneshof. It still exists. One of the founding fathers lived there. Now it ’s a summerplayground for kids witch parents have to work during the summer vacation. I worked there myself when I was young in the 80-ties. My Malinois is called Jack and I’m a dogtrainer myself. If you would like to visit the castle, just send me a message.

That is not true..that you wait for the puppies to be born to tell what they are..I have paperwork on my dog who was born in France..Fawn black mask dogs going back to the 60s..And the handler from France told me if a malinois is any color other than this its been mixed..they can have like a silver fawn to black tips..if your dog is black, brindle or any color its been crossed..and that's just nuts I've known these guys to have 10 litters and none of anything of what you're talking about. Sorry I no you mean well. Even if you show me something on it thier mixed up dogs..
Simple take charge and be a pack leader. Those are your chickens and the dog needs to know you are alpha and those are yours. Or give the dog to someone that knows how to be Alpha leader.
Once a dog starts killing chickens, regardless of breed, it is virtually too late. This behavior had to be avoided in the first place, with proper training and socialization. You would be better off to rehome your dog to someone who knows the breed well, has experience with it, and is OK with a dog who kills chickens. Then, get a breed that you have the time, knowledge and patience to train.

This is a pretty extreme version of Eugenics. It produces results quickly but it is also quite a lot of work.

That's not true..my friend imports mals from Belgium. And believe me they know what the dog is titles family lines. The nine yards .
