Best at love ballads but they rock hard. Rock you like a hurricane, the Zoo, big city nights, and so many more hard rocking songs. Def hit that rabbit hole.
Thats the tour I seen them on, top loudest concert beating two acdc shows i went to...still have the newspaper article where they broke the new arena's decimal levels lol...13 th Row...dancers from the local strip clubs on stage for Rock You Like A Hurricane,,,,,phenomenal show....
Heard this live as a show ender and couldn’t hear for two hours after the show, I’ve been a guitar player since the mid eighties and love the scorpions energy, mostly older stuff, Can’t live without you and Loving you Sunday morning are faves, love your vibe Biz and enjoy hearing your take on these tunes.😎
Scorpions has a lot of hard rock songs... Their ballads like "Still lovin' you" ... 'Wind of change'... 'Send me an angel'... 'Holiday'... have been their biggest hits cos they appeal to the women... But they have mostly hard rock songs like - 'Rock you like a hurricane' ... 'No one like you' ... 'Rhythm of love' ... "The Zoo" ... 'Bad boys running wild'... 🤘🤘 Originally, Scorpions began in 1965 as a beat rock combo that covered English songs that were popular in the 60's... Rudolf Schenker (guitar) formed the band and was their original singer. He stepped aside by 1970 as Klaus Meine (vocals) joined the Scorpions w/ his kid brother Michael Schenker (lead guitar)... and they wrote their first album 'Lonesome Crow'... which was released in 1972 - it was a mix of jazz and psychedelic rock, heavily influenced by Jimi Hendrix and Cream... and it was a different line-up w/ Lothar Heimberg (bass) and Wolfgang Dziony (drums) ... Listen to early songs like - "I'm goin' mad" ... 'Leave me'... Michael Schenker left Scorpions in 1973 to join UK rock band U.F.O. ... and Scorpions broke up. In 1974, Klaus and Rudolf joined forces w/ Francis Buccholz (bass) and Ulrich Roth (lead guitar, now Uli Jon Roth) and decided to carry on as Scorpions... finding a steady drummer was a work in progress but Herman Rarebell (drums) joined by 1977... Scorpions recorded several albums in the 70's but were unable to tour outside Europe... They were famous for early songs like - "We'll burn the sky"... "Speedy's coming"... 'In trance' ... 'Yellow Raven'... 'Sails of Charon'... etc. They recorded a double live album 'Tokyo Tapes' in 1978 on their first tour of Japan before Ulrich Roth left Scorpions that year. Lead guitarist Michael Schenker came back to the Scorpions briefly and helped record their 1979 album 'Lovedrive' before leaving again. Matthias Jabs (lead guitar) joined permanently in 1979 and Scorpions did their first US tour that year... 'Lovedrive' sold gold in the US and the next album 'Animal magnetism' sold platinum. Scorpions dominated the 80's w/ their hard rock tunes and touching ballads as they toured in arenas and stadiums across the world... "Still lovin' you" was one of their biggest singles in 1984... They scored a 2x platinum record in 1990 ('Crazy world') w/ the hit ballad 'Wind of change'. In the 90's, grunge rock came in and decimated Scorpions' popularity... albums like 'Face the heat' (1993) and 'Pure instinct' (1996) did not sell commercially... Bassist Francis Buccholz left the band by 1992 and drummer Herman Rarebell left in 1995. However, Scorpions never gave up and carried on w/ bassist Ralph Rieckermann and drummer James Kottak. Some of the underrated songs from this era - 'Under the same Sun'... 'To be number 1' ... 'Wild child' ... 'No pain no gain'... In 2004, Pawel Maciwoda (bass) joined Scorpions and their career started picking up again w/ their 2007 album 'Humanity Hour 1'... and 2010 album 'Sting of the tail'... They considered retiring in 2014 but decided to carry on as their popularity was bigger than ever. However, drummer James Kottak was fired in 2015 and replaced in 2016 by former Motorhead drummer Mikkey Dee. Their latest album 'Rock believer' was released in 2022. Some of the newer Scorpions songs include - 'Humanity'... 'Follow your heart' ... 'Raised on rock' ... "When you know (where you come from)"... 'New generation'... 🤘🤘
One of the greatest songs of all time. So much emotion in this Rock Opera about a dude who messed up with his girl and now he's simping so hard trying to win her back...we've all been that dumbass at least once in our life(ha!ha!)!!
Check out their earlier stuff someday. Winds of chiron or whatever. Klause Is amazing singer. Trained. Dio level. The zoo is heavy. Nobody suggest theire ballad stuff please 😅 that's where It went. To me all the good bands started in the seventies killed early eighties then went mainstream and music turned to crud with big contracts forcing things and MTV glam, until grunge. Acdc ended with Flick of the switch. I went to this concert Tacoma dome summer 85 I was 14. Worldwide live tour. A few days before my freshman year started. That's how i started. MY high-school career. Wow crazy crazy times. Btwlj still lovi g you sucks 😂 seriously.
Power ballad! The song dropped when I was in high school, so listening to it can take me back. I still dig their Lovedrive album the most however -- "Loving You Sunday Morning", "Another Piece of Meat", "Can't Get Enough", "Lovedrive", "Holiday". Check out "Holiday" for another power ballad, or check out "Another Piece of Meat" or "Lovedrive" for some fast driving metal.
IMHO one of the best rock bands ever. I saw them live in Arrowhead Stadium and they have to be the best sounding bands I ever heard. They sounded exactly like their records. Goes to show just how little fancy shit goes on when they record and how talented they are. To be honest they never got much radio play.
I heard this for the first time in a sub shop right after the album was released. I was standing in line and some dude (a teen at the time, like me) came in cranking this song on his boom box! :)
Hey Biz, I thought I'd suggest another one of their songs, if interested. "Scorpions - When You Came Into My Life (Official Video)" (by the channel: Scorpions) --This song is from their thirteenth studio album called "Pure Instinct" released in 1996. I hope your well and doing okay, Biz. It's always fun rocking with you. Thanks for sharing. peace out~
Great reaction! I love this song but I gotta shout out the Russian voice with the dude in the tuxedo who yes… crushed this song more than scorpions ever could. Props to the chick that’s often featured but no the tux guy hits it.
Great song.! Nice choice to discover.! You should check out UFOs - 'Rock Bottom' off of the 'Strangers in the Night Live album.! You'll definitely appreciate.! Keep on Rockin' Mate.!
The zoo is a classic, no one like you is also a banger, enjoy watching you, great reaction
Klaus Meine has the most incredible singing voice! I saw Scorpions twice in concert in the 80s and it was amazing!
Best at love ballads but they rock hard. Rock you like a hurricane, the Zoo, big city nights, and so many more hard rocking songs. Def hit that rabbit hole.
Gives you chills when the guitar kicks in
Glad you were able to get the full version of the song. Great reaction!

Great band! Hey You and You give Me All I Need are worth a listen. The Zoo cranked up loud is awesome.
Classic high school last dance song back in the day. Great reaction!
Loving You Sunday Morning and Blackout by The Scorpions are a couple more to check out!
This was my senior prom song way back when.
One of the greatest songs of all time. So much emotion in this Rock Opera about a dude who messed up with his girl and now he's simping so hard trying to win her back...we've all been that dumbass at least once in our life(ha!ha!)!!

That whole LP is a banger. I don't remember any pork or artificial fillers. Every song holds up still.
You should check out early Scorpions, 1972 Lonesome Crow.
Still lovin you Biz.

Keep on rockin' in the free World.- Neil Young
