Garrett: for years tries to buy an apartment in a haunted building. Also Garrett: is genuinely shocked when his apartment is haunted and doesn’t want to go into it.
Garrett is the friend who drops off the face of the earth and then hits the group chat up at 3am to drop all the crazy stuff he did and then leaves again. I am here for it
I’m a maintenance guy at an apartment complex and one of the residents has a life size cut-out of Danny DeVito. First time I saw if, the resident didn’t answer so I assumed nobody was there, started doing the inspection and opened the back room and almost shat my pants bcz Danny was right on the other side of the door standing up lmao. Coworker and resident laughed at me. The resident was just asleep in the other room and didn’t want to open up but I was not expecting double D to be on the other side
His uncles house is SO NICE. I can’t. As an architect and interior design lover it’s amazing even from the little shots we get. I would die for that house
I love that these videos aren’t filled with cheap scares, garrets videography genuinely creates some creepy tension! It’s spooky, but super entertaining. My favourite spooky creator on TH-cam right now purely for those reasons.
This was genuinely terrifying, usually Andrew's presence does lighten the mood a little bit because i feel like you want him not to freak out so you seem more brave when you both are together but being alone the scary parts felt genuinely freaky
No! They spend the first 3/4 of the show walking around joking and screaming bullshit. Edit: first time viewer and this guy does the same thing.... 58 min video... starts ghost hunting at 32 mins kind of . Just get to it... no one cares about you eating chicken nuggets
I always love to think that Garrett is having a majorly traumatic moment with the spirits and someone in another apartment is just going about their day making dinner and watching Netflix 😂
That’s how it be tho! It’s insane how a singular room… in a house that feels fine to live in, can feel like you have to run out as soon as you enter it. Same with apartments.
@@CallMeSkinnyFRRR. My aunt is moving into a house that was built in the 70s (old but not very old yk) but that damn basement.... I'll never step down there again. Wayyy to eerie and I felt like I couldn't breathe at all. Still had to sweep the entire thing lmao

ironically, I think because Garrett radiates so much bubbly sunshine and positive energy, no demon or evil force could ever get close to him, the most they could do is a few surprise noises.
I can imagine Garrett's uncle getting an alert at 2 in the morning saying someone entered his garage and then looking at the cameras to see Garrett and his chicken nuggets 😂😂😂
every time i come back to this video i just lose it at garrett being a little loot goblin and the ghosts being like "NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT. DIDN'T YOU LEARN ANYTHING."

Garrett technically breaking into his uncles garage because of his apartment and the trailer being scary as well has to be the best thing I've seen in a while! LOL
I cannot tell you how loud I said “YOU TOOK THAT?!” When you held up that bell! It’s like the bell was telling me from here not to touch it or move it, let alone take it home with me! An actual horror movie lol, glad you returned it!
Im surprised no one was shocked at him taking the BELL. To us chinese religion, ringing bells like this has to do with summoning the ghosts or evil spirits. like in olden day flims there are also many chinese/ hong kong shows which shows the bell being a way of communicating with the vampires/ ghosts & its definitely not something good to take or have for no reason. the older generation would also tell us not to ring any bells, esp these kinds in the middle of the night as its supposed to summon those evil things/ spirits.
wtf am I loooking at ? I'm 12 minutes into the video, first time viewer from France, and all I see is someone erratic, in a constant state of nervous breakdown, about to completely lose his marbles. I love it ! I haven't had this much fun watching TH-cam in a very, very long time !
Garrett - if you’re in the comments, just know that you are so loved! You are such a pure soul. I wish I was friends with someone like you in real life. You just seem like such a genuine, funny, loving person. Something this world needs. Keep being you, and never change!! ❤ Also your filmmaking skills are insane!!! Love you, dude!!
Ok little insight. When the house is old and some parts are made out of wood, hanging stuff can movemwhen you get in something big like a bed or a couch. My house is literally made of concrete but I noticed the furniture would ever so slightly creak or rock when I stomp my foot or get on my bed. So, maybe the chandelier moving wasn’t a ghost, given that it only moved when you got in the bed. Also, the scream when you put the bell back was just your breath. Like that scene where Maui was impersonating a crowd cheering. It sounds like a crowd but it’s just a really breathy whispering.
😂 Imagine being a resident while he was filming this. Sounds, steps, and a voice from an apartment that has been empty for the last year, a year after the last time you heard it. Laughter and RUNNING in the basement where no lights had been turned on...yes, we saw there were lights down there you chose not to turn on to make it creepier Garrett!
That would TERRIFY me😂 Already thinking the building is haunted and then Garrett is running around in the basement, hahahah. Also, whyyyyyy no lights?! I mean I kinda get it, cause «spookier vibes» but wayy too scary for me lol

Hey Garrett! The house I grew up in that was built in the 70’s is haunted. It’s where I currently live at 23 years old. I’ve had many experiences from hearing creaking in the attic, popping noises all throughout the house starting at sundown, my sliding closet door opening in the middle of the night, seeing floating lights, shadows, and faces in the mirror and windows looking in from the outside. I’ve become a bit desensitized to the activity but all my friends who come visit agree that my house is pretty spooky especially at night. I had a partner once that would refuse to leave my room without me accompanying them whenever it was dark out. I myself am very spiritually in tune and consider myself to be a medium/psychic and have felt many energies throughout my years living here. When I was little I was terrified of the things I’d experience before I grew up and learned how to interact with the spirits around me. I think you returning the bell was a very smart choice. Wether or not it calmed the activity in the apartment, I definitely got the vibe from watching that it belongs down there in that basement. You live and you learn not to take things from notoriously haunted places without asking first. Even if you didn’t feel brave while going down into that basement alone and staying there one last time, I can say you are stronger than I could ever imagine to be. Even with my acceptance of the spirit world, and not really being phased by much supernatural activity I definitely could not have done what you did alone. Thanks so much for bringing us such wonderful content! You did great leaving the chicken nugget as well LOL! I hope you find some peace now that the apartment has been passed to someone else.
37:11 Garrett you might want to start saying something along the lines of “you cannot follow me” because spirits are sometimes known to attach to certain people and that energy will follow you, stay safe and love you pookie!
After a month long battle with my husband's health, we finally had to send him to stay somewhere better equipped to take care of him. I'm a freaking mess, getting this notification was exactly what my exhausted, sad lady soul needed. 💙 thank you!
The way the ghost politely moved out of the way of the camera shot when you asked it to. Made my heart drop. Garrett is a super duper brave global treasure 🥰
Hey Garrett! So so so happy for a new video! You are so brave. I used to work as a janitor in an animal hospital. There was a crematorium in the hospital, with a giant incinerator, and one of my weekly tasks was to DUST ASHES off the cremation machine. I would see ashes and bones in a tray next to the machine, and a new coworker of mine once accidentally threw away a tray of ashes and we had to dig through the dumpster to retrieve someone's pet. Aaaaanyway, there was also a grief room, where families could spend last moments with their pets. That room had the most sad and lost energy I've ever felt. Since I cleaned at night, it was just me in the building, and sometimes animals that were hospitalized over night, but that was rare. I would often hear barking coming from the overnight kennels, even when no animals were there, and I would see shadows and hear noises when it was just me, most especially in the grief room. It wasn't scary, definitely not as scary as that apartment, but animals have spirits too, and I think so many of them were lost in that hospital and looking for their families. That's my most 'haunted' story, if you can call it that. Love ya!!!
“being a little bit dumb is incredibly expensive” truer words have never been spoken. Secondly, the intro to this is produced and filmed really well with the drone!

Imagin how cool it would have been if you set up cameras all around the apartment and caught stuff on video that whole year. 😮 It could have been it’s own series!
That would have been a LOT of work and very costly too. But especially the amount of time to go through all of the footage. But I do agree that it would have been an awesome series or like short documentary.
I grew up in Appalachia. We would sleep in the woods and hear people whistling, see lights in the forest at night. Very spooky place to live. I have always been terrified of the dark because of those experiences as a child. Please more videos!!!!! I need you and Andrew to explore haunted locations for spooky season! I always get sad when there's no new videos from you and super excited when we finally get one.
I also grew up in the Appalachian Mountains, more specifically the Blue Ridge Mountains. Heard my fair share of strange and unexplained noises from the forest, as well as sightings and other occurrences. The worst place I ever found was actually an old and abandoned cemetery in the woods. It belonged to my family, but was left alone to be reclaimed by nature and became overgrown. My father, my great uncle, and I went down there one day to restore it a bit by removing some of the plants and cleaning up the old headstones so that they'd be clean and legible again. We were down there for one day in broad daylight, and it was the most horrifying experience of my entire life! We heard disembodied voices speak, scream, sing, whistle, and growl. We heard footsteps when there shouldn't have been any. Our tools and equipment were moved when we weren't touching them. We all felt as if we were being watched and followed, but I specifically felt as if someone were standing directly behind me breathing down my neck the entire time we were in the cemetery and the feeling didn't go away until we left. My dad and I both witnessed a shadow figure watching us from behind a tree, and we all saw movement and figures in the tree line the whole time we were there. After we finished cleaning the place up a bit, we left immediately and never went back. Luckily nothing followed us home, but I still occasionally have nightmares about that place over 10 years later. To this day I still have no idea if the spirits that reside there were mad that we were intruding and cleaning up the place, or if they were mad that our family had let it become overgrown in the first place and were lashing out because they felt abandoned and forgotten.
I lived in an apartment block from the late 1800’s … a man with cancer killed himself in my apartment, unbeknownst to me. First day moving in, my alarm clock started going off … not plugged in, no batteries. And that was just the beginning. I just love these, Garrett. They’re SO relatable. PLEASE keep documenting!!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
I actually feel bad for the gentle presence you've described who was living in the apartment when you first got it and them being "invaded" by the meaner presence you brought from downstairs.
Currently living in a 1716 farmhouse where many things have gone on over the years, from hearing voices say ‘hey’ in the middle of the night, watching a tall man’s shadow walk across my bedroom wall and most recently hearing loud banging on the door whilst having a shower. All the ghostys in my house generally seem to be chill but every now and again you definitely get spooked!
That chaise lounge is stunning. Honestly, I think you were psyching yourself out. I didn't see the original video but that place is actually beautiful. Edit: you could have changed the bedding to your own stuff and it prob would have made you feel a lot better. I've lived in antique houses for most of my adult life and you have to make them your own.
It was extra for me to see you had your earlier encounter at 3:37am - I’m a horror writer and I have the time/numbers 3:37 pop up a lot in my works! Also dude? Most sincerely this was the CREEPIEST video I’ve seen on TH-cam since “Lights Out” first premiered! Thank you for braving (and sharing) this experience!
Yooo! Thank you! That means a lot to me to hear. In the edit I try to really respect the scary sections of the video and make them vibe as close as possible as it feels to just being there with me, so this means a lot 🖤
@@GarrettWatts Thank YOU for the kind words! I’ve had a terrible start to the week, and you have just turned it all around for me. 🙏🏼 And to answer your question, by the way, I have 2 haunted locations that were the creepiest I’ve been in: my house in Massachusetts growing up (built in the mid 1700s - no further explanation needed) and my now-defunct college, Southern Vermont College in Bennington, Vermont. The building is currently being turned into a resort 🙄 but let me tell you, that 1922 mansion is TERRIFYING. Shadows, sounds, windows opening without anyone inside (witnessed firsthand!)…I can only imagine how fun it’ll be for unsuspecting guests!
I actually lived in a haunted apartment in Spokane Valley, WA. It was very scary and I moved my mattress to the floor of my living room because the bedroom was the worst of it. I used to hear growling sometimes, and even my cat would see and react to things. Felt cold spots moving passed me. Watched items slide across the counter. I lived alone and it was the longest year of my life!
Garrett left some of his stuff in the apartment and it made me think that since the previous owner did not die, maybe they were so scared that they just wanted to leave and left their stuff there, just like Garrett.

This was genuinely terrifying, usually Andrew's presence does lighten the mood a little bit because i feel like you want him not to freak out so you seem more brave when you both are together but being alone the scary parts felt genuinely freaky

Love ya!!!
Oh that breaks my heart!! I hope their souls are at peace now :….(((

Imagin how cool it would have been if you set up cameras all around the apartment and caught stuff on video that whole year. 😮 It could have been it’s own series!
That would've mean concrete proof that ghosts exist and we can't have that:)

There were literal moments in the video my heart starting racing. So entertaining! The closet door noises freaked me out!

And to answer your question, by the way, I have 2 haunted locations that were the creepiest I’ve been in: my house in Massachusetts growing up (built in the mid 1700s - no further explanation needed) and my now-defunct college, Southern Vermont College in Bennington, Vermont.
