I met Kevin, the current owner of the Chesnut House, about 2 1/2 years after I moved to KY from the west coast. He immediately told me about it and invited me over. He took me on a tour clear back when an awful lot of it was still in a sad state of rot and disrepair. It is amazing how much work he has accomplished in this time. He loves that house and loves the history behind it and of the former families that lived there. The spirits seem to love him too. They give him nothing but good vibrations. He is one of the two, count 'em, two friends I have here. He's one heck of a good-hearted guy. His type are hard to come by these days. Thanks for doing a 'hunt' at the house.

Yes, I concur. Kentucky is haunted. We lived in Letcher County, KY when I was a kid and our home was haunted. My 4 year old brother would see a ghost man and talk to him.
Yes it is. Some of the apartments I live in are haunted. My apartment had some strange noises when I first moved in, they started when I went to bed, and sounded like someone puttering around in the kitchen but when I would check it out there was nothing. I finally got up and said out loud, " whoever you are you need to leave, this is not your home and you are not invited, you need to look for a bright light and go to it and it will lead you home." Since that night I've heard nothing else. But I have a friend who lives in a apartment across the parking lot and he's told me of things he and others have seen. He had a light ball come in through his window, then go into the bedroom. A friend was visiting and saw it too. He also saw a woman come out of a upstairs apartment and then she disappeared. Also a pregnant lady had rented a apartment that was also upstairs from him, she had her tv float 3 inches off her table, then sit back down, she was gone the next day. There is a cemetery just past the entrance of the apartment complex that have some of the founders of the town in it. I live in an old house, and I can tell you from experience the door opening is from the movement of the house as you walk away. Wooden structures flex and move, especially when you have someone walking around inside.
The way that the door opened, it moved as if someone/thing, was looking to see you leave, and then when you had gone down the stairs, someone/thing felt comfortable enough to open it fully.

As to that door opening - I went back, took a screenshot, copy and pasted into my photo editor and zoomed in. I don't believe that door was even open a crack like when you guys, Ryan and Miranda, were trying to debunk it. Maybe the door doesn't fully latch but it was as closed as it gets. It does not look like it had popped back open in the slightest. Thus I believe it was paranormal.
Happened across your channel and found this episode. I couldn't stop watching. Unique approach by abandoning the cameras and devices. Allowing the ghosts to 'appear' on their terms. Interesting technique. Great episode!
There are times when hauntings can take years of repeated paranormal investigations to be solved. And a good part of it is researching old documents tied to the history of the location in question.

1:33:01 so, the weird thing to me is when the door opened, it paused barely cracked, almost like someone was peaking out to make sure you guys were leaving, then opened all the way, almost like someone came out
Miranda is so sweet. She’s also very brave. I think she should be a permanent addition to the investigative team. 🤗
When miranda and Ryan were asking about the scratches, a voice says" me"twice.then a man says touched or touch.great episode. Hope dave is good and has no attachment.
Anyone else catch the rapidly moving shadow bottom left screen at the top of the attic stairs?
@49:18
Yep 👍
yes
Yes, I thought so. Thank you
You two didn't open that door end of story anyone else agree
I like Miranda she's really respectful to the spirits🥰
When you pulled up to the house I’m thinking what an amazing home. It must have been something stunning when it was new!
Probably a lot of people are watching from their TV where you cannot leave a like. Great investigation.
Thank you for watching and leaving a comment! We appreciate everyone who takes the time to watch our content! :)
Shadow moving really fast at bottom of screen (49.19-49.20) just after Ryan got a fright 😳
I saw it as well. When you slow the video down to .25 speed you can see it better...
Ya i saw too!!!
I noticed it as well! I tried to show my boyfriend and he said he couldn't see it, glad to know it wasn't just me lol
This place was creepy! You guys need to come back!
Hopefully next time there’ll be air conditioning! 😂 But either way I hope we do too, it was an interesting place!
I live about 30 minutes from this place in Kentucky and I have never heard of it before. This is so neat!
This is the first video I've seen from y'all and I am so stoked 😁😁😁
Also that house is GORGEOUS
As to that door opening - I went back, took a screenshot, copy and pasted into my photo editor and zoomed in. I don't believe that door was even open a crack like when you guys, Ryan and Miranda, were trying to debunk it. Maybe the door doesn't fully latch but it was as closed as it gets. It does not look like it had popped back open in the slightest. Thus I believe it was paranormal.
Agreed that it is paranormal
I agree with ya
@brendaroberts6922 Thank you. I try to debunk too. Can't go around thinking everything is paranormal! Lol
@brendawisdom7072 thank you. See my above comment to the other brenda.
I hope Dave is ok and we see him very soon. Nice to see both of was.
Very interesting looking house. Kind of like a dollhouse in real life
Happened across your channel and found this episode. I couldn't stop watching. Unique approach by abandoning the cameras and devices. Allowing the ghosts to 'appear' on their terms. Interesting technique. Great episode!
Welcome to the channel! Thank you for watching, we’re glad you enjoyed it! 👻💜
There are times when hauntings can take years of repeated paranormal investigations to be solved. And a good part of it is researching old documents tied to the history of the location in question.
Enjoy your show every week.
You rock!
Another comment for the algorithm -
Loved the less-popular location!
Loved the spontaneity during the investigation!
Love Miranda (but miss Dave 😫)
Love to the quirky investigator who shared some history!
Ok bye 🤟🏼✌🏼👻
Well you alright 😊
