Hey this is me, Garrett (the tall slightly dumb boy in the video above) but I'm commenting from my wild sassy little new side channel if you need to catch some good vibes after THIS video... just click my little dang face to get there. But anyways thanks for watching this video and hit me with a comment answering the question I ask at the end cause no joke I'm gonna read literally every single on. Happy spooky season everyone! 👻
Loving the content from both channels, Garrett. Crazy unhinged all the way around. Always a joy when I see a new video in my subscriptions from either place :)
Garrett, the basements that you were exploring are part of the underground in Spokane. The purple glass dots on the sidewalk, in front of The Studio, are skylights from the when underground was open and used. They weren’t originally purple, but over time have changed color. The reason that parts of the basements are blocked off or locked up is because they are probably dangerous due to age etc. It’s actually really cool that you got to go spelunking under the city because unlike other underground’s in old cities like Pendleton, Seattle, or Portland, Spokane’s isn’t open to the public. My sister and I live in Washington and want to take our own hunted tour of Spokane now! We read that there is a secret, now closed, tunnel in the Greenwood cemetery. Please make more haunted location videos in Washington! There are so many places to explore!
I have a trip to spokane that randomly manifested today (literally right when this was uploaded) and now im like HMMM MAYBE I SHOULDNT GO BUT MAYBE I SHOULD. If i do ill comment again 👀
This reminds me of a video I watched on yt,guy went exploring abandoned prison, there where a lot of tunnels, that connected to a lot of buildings, even recently closed library, you could tell a lot of people where exploring these places before the dude. One door he went through opened to a brand new place that was clearly still running, on that door he came through was a sign “keep the door closed”. I think this is a similar situation here, the underground’s basements are connected, people are exploring them and they may reach the restaurant basement, hence the sign on the door. It is really possible with the amount of doors this place has. That the moved cart in a basement could be a sign that some human might found the passage from basement to the studio and moved the cart for fun.
I absolutely love that this “edgy store at the end of the block” just turned Garrett into a yassified Dr. Strange to go ghost hunting. Perfectly suited.
Hey Garrett, i’ve lived in the Washington area for about 11 years now and apparently the people in Spokane are aware about the ‘secret underground city’ but confusingly no one knows for sure how, when, why it’s there left abandoned. From what i heard, the tunnels, labyrinth, and passageways were built in the 1890 (some artifacts were found etched with said year). BUT people actually found things like boiler rooms, pipes, chains, even elevators from different time periods, like post 1910s. Weird. My personal take is, much like the subterranean ‘city’ underneath Downtown Seattle, it was destroyed by the great fire that demolished the original streets in 1889. The Downtown we know and live on now literally was rebuilt on top of the [burnt down] original one. So Brother, if you’ve ventured deep enough, perhaps you’ll find Atlantis - only more haunted :)
The Spokane underground is largely from prohibition and other criminal activities. It's long been home to a lot of wealthy people who want to fly under the radar (and commit crimes under the radar) and that's a big part of it. My best friends grandpa knew a lot about it
So I'm from spokane, and still live here. The catacombs are littered throughout downtown spokane. Most of them have flooded and were boarded up, but some can still be accessed through the basements of some businesses.
@@kcs3151 i just recently moved to oregon from the east coast and would ABSOLUTELY visit Spokane for spooky season. anyway a random person could try to explore the underground passageways do you think ??
I did a little research on the building because my inner historian and creepy ghost fanatic was not satisfied, but apparently it was built in 1901 and used as a dual hotel and apartment complex for working class families. The upper floors were the apartments, which were considered really fancy at the time because they each had their own bathrooms, and the ground floor was home to the Cozy Tavern Inn and a barber shop, which stayed on the property until the 1930's and 70's respectively. Before it was eventually renovated and turned into commercial lots on the ground floor, the basement was probably the overall storage unit for the original apartments and hotel over 100 years ago. Thousands of people have probably passed through those doors and have maybe even lived there. Who knows what kind of spooky treasures are in that basement tbh.
Oh! Also worth noting! A lot of Inn's in the 1920's used basement tunnels like that for bootlegging runs during prohibition. The dozens of old doors and seemingly maze-like design might have been because there was some bootlegging going on down there. The little spout thing was probably connected to some kind of basin at some point, there might have been hand laundry down there at some point as well.
HEY GARRETT HEY GARRET I found the buildings history. It has a legal addition for railroad building permits around the property since 1910. The basements were most likely a workspace to build underground railroad passageways and were shut down. Railroad workspaces were usually abusive, toxic, and very hazardous with little to no wages. Whatever is down there is meant to be left alone, as it is probably a spirit who toiled in darkness until their demise. Railroad passageways also needed rooms to punish child laborers which may explain the room full of machinery and barred up doors. Cave ins can also occur so tell your sister her basement may be unstable.
Honestly it would make sense if the basements used to be for the railway, and then later on got used for hotel/apartment storage or just building storage.
the scariest thing was garrett almost breaking his ankle in those big ass shoes and the little jumps are he put in when they were going in the old restaurant
Love the bond that is coming off between his sister and him. They both started having a laughing fit, AND they both do the shoulder thing - she goes “next, nails” with the shoulder, he goes “no-scared room” with the shoulders. Love them
Long MAKEUP VIDEOS, REVIEW VIDEOS. Garrett 's genre requires longer vdos. The shorter the paranormal investigation video, more chances of people giving it a pass
This episode was SO anxiety inducing. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen Andrew this unnerved before. Really wasn’t expecting this place to be as active as it was.
Absolutely! I've lived in haunted houses and seen some real stuff but I had to stop watching because it was night outside! That's never happened before! 😅
Garrett is one of the few paranormal content creators I trust bcuz his videos have much more of a focus on comedy then they do on actually being scary. If the goal was to scare you, then there wouldn't be a random ass makeover montage in the middle of the ghost hunt lmao. That comedic tone makes the shit he catches a lot more compelling because he doesn't have a reason to fake it, unlike most ghost hunting shows where the entertainment value is supposed to come from how scared you are.
@@remmnm Shane and Ryan from Buzzfeed Unsolved/Watcher are the only others I watch regularly tbh. But their content is more focused on being funny/educational(?) than scary, which makes me feel more inclined to trust them. There's also that one time Danny Gonzalez did ghost hunting but he only did it once so idk if he counts-
LOCATION HISTORY: So, I was curious (I like history haha...Especially if it's a super old/spooky kind), so I did some digging. And although I find nothing specifically oober creepy or traumatic, here's what I did find out: The building that the studio is in, began being build in 1899 and was finished in 1901. It was built in three separate parts that were later connected. The first section was a building on S Howard St (the street the Studio is on). The second was on 2nd st. And the third was on the corner of S Howard and 2nd street, connecting them together. The bottom floor was used for businesses and the top two floors were used as fully-equipped hotel rooms, known as The Metripole. (those floors are now apartments today). BEFORE The Metripole building was built, there were actually businesses and residents on the location site. At The Studio's location, a woman named Roxana Sumner (widowed), lived at The Studio's address with her daughter Maud and a boarder (who worked with her, she owned a place called Minneapolis Steam Dye Works). Roxana is confirmed to have died at 176 S Howard St in 1897. But there were no other confirmed deaths that I found prior to The Metripole being built. HOWEVER, we have to consider some big aspects of the local history. Spokane was "founded" in 1873. Before that, it was pretty much just indigenous, partially nomadic, populations settled there. And, of course, whenever there are new settlers encroaching and trying to take over already occupied land...Stuff happens. So, it's possible that some undocumented horrors occurred like this on or nearby the land before any homes or businesses were built. There's also the prohibition period. I haven't researched the location in that time frame yet. However, a lot of shady stuff happened at that time. So, again, who knows what took place in or around The Metripole and the businesses underneath on the bottom floor. Anyway...That's what I've found so far. If you want me to keep you guys updated on what else I find, let me know.
im a screenwriter and im genuinely considering writing a ghost hunting comedy based on garrett and andrew's paranormal videos cause the enterntainment value in these are insane
back rewatching these videos again and realised that Garrett waking up about 3 hours before Andrew to go get ready means that Andrew was alone in that apartment for three hours which is a horrifying thought. im really curious if he experienced anything.
[Marianne]: “Please come figure out what’s going on in my haunted makeup studio Garrett I can’t live like this anymore.” [Garrett, 48 chaotic and terrifying hrs later]: “Whatever’s haunting you we made it significantly worse!” [Marianne]: 👁️👄👁️
Garrett’s chemistry with everyone is wonderful and the way everyone feels so relaxed around him which makes me think that that’s probably why ghosts are also so attracted to him
@@FacebookQueen Funnily enough I didn't see it that way! To me, it looks like he quickly told them all to play along with his shenanigans if they were game. Even directed them in some parts to act a certain way for the camera. Nothing bad, it seemed like they all had a good time!
@@SummerRocks50 That makes sense they certainly played the part haha. I bet they did have fun with this I could have never kept a straight face though 😂😂
You know that Garrett and Andrew are way too scared when they start getting snippy with each other. This was the most chaotic and creepy haunted location video they have done so far.
@@LillyGrayce4 100000% not alone this set of videos are literally my favorite on TH-cam. They are so perfect to have on in the background and I just love the vibe
i didn't think my social anxiety was that bad until i was covering my face while you were running around dropping stuff and talking to people in a peaceful salon 😭
I love Garrett SO much and I feel that I understand him really well, but I was actually YELLING at him the entire time he was doing that xD he really needs adult supervision.
Garrett: buys an entire outfit specifically for ghost investigating and even does an outfit change Also Garrett: buys a completely different outfit 10 minutes later
⚠️JUMP-SCARE TIME STAMPS BELOW! ⚠️ 57:03 (edited in person standing in corner) 59:59 (loud noise and cardboard cut out of will smith) 1:08:58 (Andrew’s shadow) 1:09:40(edited in scary face) 1:10:55 (Garrett scaring Andrew) 1:11:57 (Andrew gets spooked by wires) 1:14:28 (loud banging/falling noises) 1:15:44 (loud creaking door) 1:15:52 (close up of creepy doll & the ghost detector going off) At 1:05:44 when they’re talking about someone putting up the dry wall and there being a hole, it looks like it was punched through from the other side. not the side Garrett & Andrew are on. they said that they suspect whatever bad thing/things are there are coming from that old closed restaurant next door. it makes me think it made its way in by breaking that hole in from the hallway on the other side. And at 59:50 when they show the door in the basement of the studio there’s an XI scratched into it. later at 1:13:19 , those same scratches can be seen all over the door in the basement of the old closed restaurant. i wonder if they relate somehow. in roman numerals it means 11. also a potential explanation for all the connecting hallways between the two places (Garrett’s sister’s studio and the old closed restaurant) is when alcohol was illegal way back in the day (prohibition era) people used to smuggle it via underground tunnels. these can be seen throughout the video but especially at 1:08:41 when Garrett and Andrew are in the alley way looking down at the grates below them. you can literally see the tunnels! upon some light research, Spokane (where they are in the video) was a major receiver and distributor of contraband liquor during the prohibition era! i’ve attached a link to the website below ⬇️ www.historylink.org/File/9702 anyways!! sending good & positive vibes and energy to everyone watching this video 🤍✨🌱😇🙏🏼🌸☀️🌙🫧
Nice job finding all these time stamps and research. I was interested in the Roman numeral thing so i did some digging. It’s believed over many cultures and religions that all numbers emerged from the number one and all numbers are connected with divinity, unity, and God. So 11 is a combination of multiple of the origin of numbers making it significant. Along with that, biblically 11 is a sign for guardian angels about enlightenment or a new chapter. So it could have been written franticly by someone trying to ward off evil with God or angels. Although, medieval scholars believed that 11 was evil, representing sinners. They saw 10 and 12 as divine and 11 evil. So it could have been written about evil spirits haunting that place. It all comes down to who wrote it and what intentions they had. Who knows, maybe it conjured up more spirits down there. I’m glad that Garrett and Andrew made it out okay.
Bless you for this 🙏🏼 I’m so intrigued by videos/movies that deal with scary stuff but 110% can’t watch without getting flipped out and not being able to sleep for like a week because of jump scares 🤣
Omg the folks at The Studio were such good sports with this. Tin and Ava especially, their bits were hilarious. And the nails Tin selected? Impeccable choice. Truly inspired.
I can only imagine Garretts sister having to go to all the employees and customers before his arrival and go "Hey, sorry, my weird brother is gonna come here for some ghost stuff for his youtube channel, he's kinda all over the place, sorry if he disturbs anyone"
Right I feel like she must have. Like hey if you wanna be in his video stick around. Otherwise customers would prob walk out. Hell, I love Garrett but if I didn’t know him and he started doing that at my salon I’d prob be like… ummm
Oh most def 😂😂 I absolutely love Garrett but if this is his actual personality and not just some added quirk for the video…I’d probably do the same thing if I was his sister 😂😂
From watching this a few times you can kind of tell at least one of the other employees have met him a few times (apart from his sister ofc) just from saying they went to Mexico together, and also one of the clients turned out to be his niece (the girl he dropped the bottle on) so I don’t think it was TOO weird for them as they knew what to expect kinda thing 😭
I notice when my depression really overwhelms me, I start watching Garrett. Sounds dramatic, but he's literally like a beam of light in a dark tunnel. Your energy and vibe is insanely positive, so thank you.
You can tell the spirits sit and lurk below in the basement, the girls lively energy is what creates the good vibes upstairs. When they left the entire atmosphere changed. The voice you kept hearing seemed to want to lure you back after you entered the outside room with the road sign. I think terrible things lie deeper, probably beyond the door that was nailed shut. so intense you can feel it through the screen. The doors act as portals and the deeper you went down there, like Andrew said, it felt like you entered a completely different reality. I wonder what else lies beyond those locked doors. Best you got out of there.
I completely agree. When Garrett mentioned Backrooms I was stunted!! Something that really caught my eye was the contrast between both basements -one dark one light- what’s up with that? 😮
what’s crazy is that garrett was talking about how the apartment INVITED him there by giving him a call after 5 years and then suddenly his sister called him about her makeup studio 😭 maybe it’s just crazy coincidence but that’s gotta be something right??
Garrett entering the studio in the most chaotic, terrifying way possible and dropping shit on literal clients is me entering my own office every single day
Pretty sure the one he dropped the cup on was his niece, as she was later seen in the video when he said that only his sister, her friend, and his niece were in the building. Also seems like Ava was a friend of his niece, as she seemed to spend a lot of time standing around with her. So, I'm sure his niece is used to her uncle's strangeness. lol Another family visit for her. lol
At this point I think we need a part 2 that’s so unbelievably scary like can someone see what that building was before? WHY SO MANY DOORS AND THE “please keep the door closed” ??? WHAT WHY??
@@k0htp0t my guess is just kind of for remodeling purposes. It was originally an apartment building, it’s probably been split up into multiple different layouts over time where different parts of the building are owned by different people. So just a cheap way of making a barrier between properties. And the please keep this door closed sign could just be cause it lead to the buildings electric meters. I’m a big believer in the super natural but I think a lot of the weird design aspects just have to do with businesses working within an old apartment building.
@@breannathompson9094 oh yeah no doubt there's stuff going on down there but I think the weird sign and the board wasn't from the paranormal activity. Thats definitely a more interesting background story but there's a more reasonable explanation.
I know it’s late, but I’m rewatching because these are my comfort videos, and I swear at 1:04:28 I don’t hear terror of it I hear “tear it off” like it’s mocking Garrett’s fear
Some of y’all were wondering if Garrett is like he is in videos irl: his sister was completely unfazed when he dropped his sippy cup on her client and him gallivanting in her studio 😂 I love these videos! Never change, Garrett!!
Garrett's sister seems like the kind of person I'd be afraid to joke with, she seems so mature and put together. Seeing her bust out laughing at him reminds me not to judge people by their looks
Rewatching this and its so much scarier than I remembered. I think this is the scariest video Garrett has made so far. Poor Andrew was so scared at the end, what a BFF.
All the wooden boxes and gold objects and gentle candlelight in your background is *CHEF'S KISS*. Do I want to be scared or do I want an ASMR session I DON'T KNOW!?
omg its sooo cool to see you here I LOVE your channel!! I'm an EMT and you helped inspire me to get into medical stuff 😍 And THIS cannel helps me wind down after a long LONG day in class 😘 I have a spooky story I want to share later when I'm not needing a nap 😂
Novympia as Caitlyn: No matter how hard I try, you keep pushing me aside and I can't breakthrough. Edit: I think Garrett accidentally reavealed that his sister's salon was once used to be a mortuary and crematorium.
I've never been as uneasy and scared while watching a ghost hunting video on youtube ever before. Even the haunted apartment episode was nothing compared to this one! I've easily watched and replayed the apartment video a lot of time, day and/or night, and the creeps I've felt while watching this on an afternoon is incomparable. You've outdone yourselves this time guys! I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing bc you're literally the ones experiencing everything in real time lol
I love how respectful Garrett was about his sister’s business this whole video! He consistently was like “this is my sister’s business we have to collect the ghost!” Like that’s so adorable
He wasn’t respecting her at all, he was quite rude. Telling a client to her face that she’s a pathological liar, whether he meant it as a joke or not, is unbelievably rude behaviour. It wouldn’t surprise me if she decided not to come back to the studio. He’s not thinking about respecting his sister’s business, and livelihood, rather then his own monetary values. He’s acting a fool because he knows it’ll get him Good reviews. It’s sad really.
I wanna see a series where Garrett & Andrew go in like a lil caravan or something & go travelling around to different haunted locations across the country x
I've never had more anxiety watching a video as I was seeing Garreett running around being...well...Garrett... with clients in the shop. I figured they'd be popping by after hours. Those ladies def. left that studio with a story to tell.
A lot of the staff honestly seemed irritated and annoyed. It was kind of awkward to watch I definitely felt them judging for sure. I wonder is his sister told them all they were coming
Garrett literally trembling from the insane amount of coffee he’s drinking and Andrew being the concerned friend saying “I don’t think you need anymore” is everything to me
I had such a fun time watching the first half like literally laughing out loud and then wanted to crawl under my blankets during the second half 😭 Also why is no one talking about Ava?! I loved her!
I'm only halfway through the video but the sibling energy between Garrett and Marianne is so sweet. Also this is a fantastic promotion for her studio Update: I got to the night time portion after I posted and whoa! This is legitimately scary
Aw, she’s the best! And yeah she’s an incredible person and she has worked so hard to start that studio so if this video helps it at all, then that’s an incredible side benefit!
@@GarrettWatts I’ve been to Spokane and now I want to visit to help clear her problems with Reiki but then again I can distance Reiki but I’m afraid the things there because I totally feel like there is more than one entity is lingering there will attach to me. 😅
The ice cream shop didn't scare me. The hospital was unsettling but didn't scare me. The apartment is definitely haunted but the atmosphere was a lot more chill. The apartment storage shook me. But I just watched this at 9AM while at my office, surrounded by my coworkers in bright lighting and I'm flinching and deeply unnerved. The second those women left, all I felt was SINISTER energy. The deeper you went, I think my heart rate increased several times. Literally thinking about the apartment made me feel RELAXED after watching this holy shit. Garrett, I know it's already too late, but please don't take that doll home, I can't believe how serious I am when I say that
i felt the same way, i thought i was just crazy haha, but it definitely feels like you can feel the energy through the video, which shouldn't make sense, but it's super freaky
I'm a massive horror fan and believer in the supernatural and other "other-worldly" things, however, I have really struggled to take any "true" evidence without a grain of salt. This video has lowered my skepticism immensely. Especially the hands showing up on camera and in general this is most likely the eeriest thing I have seen in a long time. The entire vibe of the studio is hauntingly frightening by itself, but the underground tunnels and basements gave me SERIOUS chills. I have zero doubts that this place is haunted by something insidious and very angry. I also have a feeling that the positive atmosphere these two bring around with them wherever they go has a way of really revving up any malevolent energy, in contrast to other creators who try to create a very serious atmosphere. This is not a bad thing at all, it's the exact reason I enjoy Garret's content don't get me wrong,, but I definitely think bringing in that attitude has the ability to make spirits WANT to scare them. I truly believe something dangerous and vengeful is trapped there and I hope the owners of the studio consider bringing in an outside source to help them. Anyways, thank you, Garrett and Andrew, for another amazingly well-done and impressive video ! Can't wait to see what else is in store for you guys :))
I love the idea that the ghost is like a sassy women from a TLC show or something just being like "The drama between me and Andrew is honestly so funny to me."
Garrett is genuinely concerned for Andrew and it’s very sweet. He goes from being goofy to taking charge of the investigation, his whole tone changes and while we know he’s terrified he cares about Andrews comfort level.
I’m kinda nervous for Andrew, we’ve seen time and time again that entities really enjoy messing with him, I’m scared to see how far that goes. Stay safe my dudes!!
What makes this so scary is that Andrew is literally freaking out and he’s always so skeptical. I’ve had to watch this in parts because I’m jumpy for this video.
As everyone should be. People put way too much emphasis on what others think. As long as you're not hurting anyone or anything, embrace yourself and do what you can to find joy. Life is miserable enough without hiding who you are.
Hi garrat! 3 months late (sorry) but i would just like to inform you that the basements you where exploring might go back to 1960s-1980s (for the makeup studio) the old restaurant dates back event further. I originally thought around the the same time as the music studio because of the flooring. Then when you look at the basement the type of brick that was used could've dated back even farther then the 70s and 60s. The white boarded up door in the makeup studio could be the door to go down farther into the basement (could be flooded, collapsed, or cemented down.) From the looks of most of the basement it mightve been a winery. Also the little alyway looks really similar to the underground tunnels Pueblo Co. Used to (and some might say still do) have been built. The building also could've been used to keep alcohol when alcohol was banned. This is all i have for now, hope ya see this and have a great day!
I love how everyone at the shop played along. When he first came in I was like "oh no he's too much for them, don't kill sweet bby Garett's vibes" but they were totally with it too and that made me so happy lol. The spooky glam montage gave me the "popular girls give a nerd a makeover" trope. Loved it!
Feel like he came with a "brother is arriving today and is unhinged, don't worry about him just also don't ask questions" warning to all workers and customers entering that day 😂😂
I just did a little research on why the basement is so connected to the restaurant, and it's because there's a whole network of tunnels underneath the streets and businesses in downtown Spokane. It was mainly used at first to smuggle performers from bars and also alcohol, but it was later housing Chinese immigrants because they were facing too much discrimination above ground. Since they lived in these tunnels, many people died from disease, injury, and just general suffering. Whatever is down there definitely had a painful life of literally having to hide, and they probably suffered a horrible death since they couldn't leave the tunnels and there's no way anyone can thrive living in a tunnel.
It's the way the Makeup Studio ghost genuinely feels more malicious than the old timey Apartment Ghost 😭 Apartment Ghost was just a roommate rummaging around the kitchen while you slept, this one was fully trolling you guys Aside that, I like the thought of the studio employees discovering the no-scared room months later and going: "boss... did your brother leave will smith and anime girls in the basement 🤥"
So in the house i grew up in, the basement was super creepy. We decided it's an older woman who resides down there because the rocking chair, that was down there when my parents bought the house, just rocks randomly. And not just a little bit. My mom even tried to put it on the curb to be taken along with the trash, and it ended up back down there by morning. I got up for school, and when I walked out to catch my bus, I noticed the trash hadn't run yet, but the chair was gone. I assumed someone drove by and took it because it's actually kind of a nice chair, a little sanding and new paint or finish and it would be nice. Anyway, when I got home and went down to the basement to watch tv with my best friend and just hang out, the chair was back down there in the exact same spot and its still in that spot today. My family doesnt live there anymore, we all moved, but my parents still own it and just rent it out. Only the basement was an issue but it was also my chill spot so me and the old lady, I named her Ms. Ruth when I was in high school, became friends...ish. She'd play with my hair while I watched tv, poke me in the ribs like she was tryna tickle me, and knock on the floor and walls if she didnt care for what I was watching. If what I was watching was rated pg13 or higher She'd knock more often, especially if there were any curse words. Lol. I got used to her after a while. I grew up there, so I dealt with her a lot. She isn't aggressive or anything she just likes her chair and is kinda ornery or stuck in her ways. Shes still there, probably always will be. Also, no one can even move the chair from the spot she likes it in. We had to furnish the room around it lol. Everytime we'd move it, it would just be back in her spot by the next day. 😅 I think Ms. Ruth is a nice lady though. Id love to know what she looked like when she was alive and what her name actually was.
Potential idea for next ghost hunting video! You should get a go pro and put it on Andrew’s back as stuff seems to happen when his back is turned. This way you might be able to catch whatever is happening behind him. Love the spooky content!
Rewatching this was actually so telling. This is totally poltergeist behavior. Only night time activity, messing with Andrew cause he’s holding the camera, objects disappear and reappear, knocking, it takes some kind of glee out of it. This video was chilling, I love you two!!♥️♥️♥️
There may be multiple entities there, I felt like there could’ve been a demonic entity in that locked room. This is based on light research and a feeling, so take this with a grain of salt
I hope this doesn’t sound weird but I can tell that your sister genuinely loves you so much and it’s very sweet. Great video, you and Andrew killing it as always!
I keep wondering what she expected to happen, cuz Garret is such a chaotic mess running around the building like an excited child trying his best to scare off his sister's ghost, but when they interact it looks like she takes him so serious and had absolute faith in him. I'd love to learn more about their relationship and dynamic.
I don’t think it sounds weird. You worded this really well. It was like after he talked to his Sister the full Garrett we know and love came out. You can tell how accepting she is of him.
My sister was Marianne’s client for a while before she had this studio and she said his sister only ever talked about how much she adored him and how his personality in real life is just like his videos :)
54:02 the way andrew spoke to garrett here was genuine fear- he quickly apologised, but that “get it quick” was a literal panicked response to garrett. there is something very very unsettling about that basement and you can feel it through the screen.
Ghosty’s only did that to show Garrett’s sister that she’s the boss of the establishment now. She’s been “hazed” essentially…if that makes sense. I don’t expect people to get it, but I get it.😅 It was an old barbershop. They’re still just boys being boys at heart. Playing silly pranks and hazing the newcomers. Even in the afterlife. But I’m my opinion, they respectfully/symbolically relinquished their authority over that domain, which they fervently protected in their lifetime, over to Garrett’s sister. They basically said here you go queen, take the reins. You’ve got this and we’ve got you. (In the non creepiest/non scariest way possible.)❤️🥹🙏
This was actually one of the coolest ghost hunting episodes I’ve ever seen. Exploring long-forgotten, seemingly endless back rooms beneath Spokane? An unpublicized haunted location that hasn’t become a tourist trap? Awesome!!! I low-key wanna go
@@8Dmovielover oh absolutely, you can tell Garrett probably told them what to do in certain parts of the video (not a bad thing at all. she mustve told them all because I don't think the hairstylist would've just let him out candles on the floor with an ouija board out
This one made me genuinely uncomfy and breathless for some parts. You can just tell something bad happened down there at some point. “Do it tonight” gave me full chills. But Garrett’s cape made it look like Thor was running around ghost hunting and it made me happy.
I love when you can tell that he’s over it for a split second (always before they get coffee) like in the last video when they go to Starbucks and Garret’s all hyped about ordering a scone for the bird and you hear Andrew immediately say “please don’t waste time doing that” or when they arrive at the hotel and Garret’s talking about the obvious key to the room how it can be a clue and Andrew’s like “man come on it’s 3am” It’s just such a break in energy and how most people would react after like 10+ hrs with someone so high up that it’s greatly comedically timed naturally
Garrett, the only decent thing Shane has ever done in his life is introduce me to you. I remember watching your “Ice cream nachos Will it combo” Video when i was having sucky times. I have never stopped watching and i don’t think I will. I Wish i had every way in the world to show you how much i appreciate your presence on the internet and how much you have gotten me through. thank you so ridiculously much.
I’m not gonna lie, usually ghost hunting videos never really bother me. But this one genuinely gave me chills. Like this was the most terrifying video you have ever posted lmaooo.
I legitimately had to call my dog so that I could hold it and then I'm going to seriously watch some light-hearted nonsense whatever is happening there definitely transferred into the video because I am totally creeped out
Rewatching this and answering your end of vid question: the most recent unexplained thing that happened to me was that our resident ghost at my place of employment may have helped me pick out a necklace? I was shopping around our new jewelry and describing to my coworker what I wanted to find. It was before closing and we both stepped away from the front to look in some other cases while we had a few minutes but when we returned, a pendant (of the exact color and shape I was wanting) was sitting on the counter. We were the only ones there and she confirmed that she hadn't put it there or seen it there earlier. It was EXACTLY what I wanted and way too coincidental to just appear where we had just been standing only a minute prior. All of the employees are aware of our ghost and have their own stories about him. We even have customers who tell us about their encounters and have been given a name to call him.
the dichotomy between the goofy chaotic first half of the video and the actually scary shift of the second half NEVER gets old. the swish sound of the coffee cup falling 😬
Hey this is me, Garrett (the tall slightly dumb boy in the video above) but I'm commenting from my wild sassy little new side channel if you need to catch some good vibes after THIS video... just click my little dang face to get there. No joke that's all I have ever been doing may entire life I'm just a little unhinged baby I love it.
Never upvoted a comment so fast! We need this!
This is so interesting
That the moved cart in a basement could be a sign that some human might found the passage from basement to the studio and moved the cart for fun.
exactly yes!! Pendleton has a racist dark history/ prohibition/prostitution stories in those types of tunnels too! They give tours of it still
I absolutely love that this “edgy store at the end of the block” just turned Garrett into a yassified Dr. Strange to go ghost hunting. Perfectly suited.
“Yassified Dr. Strange” 😂 this comment is way under appreciated
Also knowing Garrets fascination with Marvel he probably unintentionally got things to look like a yassified dr.strange 😭

Heck yea for the Yassified Dr. Strange 👍
Lived in Spokane, Washington my whole life and had no idea that was a thing! Learn knew things everyday :)
Who knows what kind of spooky treasures are in that basement tbh.
this is so cool!! Such interesting information, I hope Garrett sees this!!
Thanx 4 the research...nice
@garrettwatts
Oh! Also worth noting! A lot of Inn's in the 1920's used basement tunnels like that for bootlegging runs during prohibition. The dozens of old doors and seemingly maze-like design might have been because there was some bootlegging going on down there. The little spout thing was probably connected to some kind of basin at some point, there might have been hand laundry down there at some point as well.
thank you for this, i was about to do some research of my own but youve given me what i needed to know!
Link pls
Underground railroad passageways for what?
@@ashtont1671for a railroad?
Honestly it would make sense if the basements used to be for the railway, and then later on got used for hotel/apartment storage or just building storage.
@@annib-r7444 hey so, the Underground Railroad was a system used for slaves to escape enslavement not a legitimate railroad. Basic US history yk
The scariest thing about this video is Garrett running around like a maniac in a quiet salon LOL
I felt like I had to be quiet while watching this because he was so loud 😂
Facts tho
the scariest thing was garrett almost breaking his ankle in those big ass shoes and the little jumps are he put in when they were going in the old restaurant
Love the bond that is coming off between his sister and him. They both started having a laughing fit, AND they both do the shoulder thing - she goes “next, nails” with the shoulder, he goes “no-scared room” with the shoulders. Love them

@@ssunnybunniasmr tell us how you got that oh wise one
Garrett is one of the few paranormal content creators I trust bcuz his videos have much more of a focus on comedy then they do on actually being scary. If the goal was to scare you, then there wouldn't be a random ass makeover montage in the middle of the ghost hunt lmao. That comedic tone makes the shit he catches a lot more compelling because he doesn't have a reason to fake it, unlike most ghost hunting shows where the entertainment value is supposed to come from how scared you are.
What are the other paranormal content creators you trust? I want to find some more rn I only have Garrett
@@remmnm Shane and Ryan from Buzzfeed Unsolved/Watcher are the only others I watch regularly tbh. But their content is more focused on being funny/educational(?) than scary, which makes me feel more inclined to trust them. There's also that one time Danny Gonzalez did ghost hunting but he only did it once so idk if he counts-
LOCATION HISTORY:
So, I was curious (I like history haha...Especially if it's a super old/spooky kind), so I did some digging. And although I find nothing specifically oober creepy or traumatic, here's what I did find out:
The building that the studio is in, began being build in 1899 and was finished in 1901.
This is fab!! Please keep us updated!

At 1:05:44 when they’re talking about someone putting up the dry wall and there being a hole, it looks like it was punched through from the other side. not the side Garrett & Andrew are on. they said that they suspect whatever bad thing/things are there are coming from that old closed restaurant next door. it makes me think it made its way in by breaking that hole in from the hallway on the other side.
And at 59:50 when they show the door in the basement of the studio there’s an XI scratched into it. later at 1:13:19 , those same scratches can be seen all over the door in the basement of the old closed restaurant. i wonder if they relate somehow. in roman numerals it means 11.
also a potential explanation for all the connecting hallways between the two places (Garrett’s sister’s studio and the old closed restaurant) is when alcohol was illegal way back in the day (prohibition era) people used to smuggle it via underground tunnels. these can be seen throughout the video but especially at 1:08:41 when Garrett and Andrew are in the alley way looking down at the grates below them. you can literally see the tunnels! upon some light research, Spokane (where they are in the video) was a major receiver and distributor of contraband liquor during the prohibition era! i’ve attached a link to the website below ⬇️

anyways!! sending good & positive vibes and energy to everyone watching this video 🤍✨🌱😇🙏🏼🌸☀️🌙🫧

Hey 21 year olds with shitty non existent friend gang!
would make sense as to why the cart was (allegedly i guess) found in the basement, like it’s trying to lure you in.
what’s crazy is that garrett was talking about how the apartment INVITED him there by giving him a call after 5 years and then suddenly his sister called him about her makeup studio 😭 maybe it’s just crazy coincidence but that’s gotta be something right??
He belongs to Spokane and the spirits know it 🌞
Garrett entering the studio in the most chaotic, terrifying way possible and dropping shit on literal clients is me entering my own office every single day
It is also me with my clients and coworkers
And him taking the drink from A client
Thats not a good thing...
Pretty sure the one he dropped the cup on was his niece, as she was later seen in the video when he said that only his sister, her friend, and his niece were in the building. Also seems like Ava was a friend of his niece, as she seemed to spend a lot of time standing around with her. So, I'm sure his niece is used to her uncle's strangeness. lol Another family visit for her. lol
Honestly the anime girl posters are literally the most anti-scary items I’ve ever seen. Immediately after Garrett hung them up I even relaxed LOL

I've never had more anxiety watching a video as I was seeing Garreett running around being...well...Garrett... with clients in the shop. I figured they'd be popping by after hours. Those ladies def. left that studio with a story to tell.
idk im always pretty bored while at work, definitely adds some entertainment.
Same
A lot of the staff honestly seemed irritated and annoyed. It was kind of awkward to watch I definitely felt them judging for sure. I wonder is his sister told them all they were coming
@@amanda711999 Well they didn't pass the vibe check then. sucks for them.
@@amanda711999 i definitely noticed that omg
Garrett literally trembling from the insane amount of coffee he’s drinking and Andrew being the concerned friend saying “I don’t think you need anymore” is everything to me
I had such a fun time watching the first half like literally laughing out loud and then wanted to crawl under my blankets during the second half 😭 Also why is no one talking about Ava?! I loved her!
Ava is a national treasure
@@GarrettWatts you mean pathological liar.
@@GarrettWatts I love how you ran off with her coffee 😂 Ava was genuinely shook 😂❤
I'm only halfway through the video but the sibling energy between Garrett and Marianne is so sweet. Also this is a fantastic promotion for her studio
Update: I got to the night time portion after I posted and whoa! This is legitimately scary
Aw, she’s the best! And yeah she’s an incredible person and she has worked so hard to start that studio so if this video helps it at all, then that’s an incredible side benefit!
@@GarrettWatts you and your kindness are a blessing Garrett 🥺❤️

I love how your sister is just like “you’re fine” to the client after you drop a cup onto her
Chaos is a family business here.
andrew cracking up when Tin says Garrett’s nails are bad is phenomenal
Okay but can we just talk about how incredible your sister's makeup studio is?! Like holy crap it's stunning
I love the idea that the ghost is like a sassy women from a TLC show or something just being like
"The drama between me and Andrew is honestly so funny to me."
I love how they’re been to some of the most HAUNTED PLACES IN THE WORLD, yet the final boss is a small makeup studio 😂
Garrett is genuinely concerned for Andrew and it’s very sweet. He goes from being goofy to taking charge of the investigation, his whole tone changes and while we know he’s terrified he cares about Andrews comfort level.
Garrett can wear absolutely anything and his confidence sells it. I adore it.
yes
I’m kinda nervous for Andrew, we’ve seen time and time again that entities really enjoy messing with him, I’m scared to see how far that goes. Stay safe my dudes!!
What makes this so scary is that Andrew is literally freaking out and he’s always so skeptical. I’ve had to watch this in parts because I’m jumpy for this video.
Omg SAME, I had to keep taking breaks because Andrew NEVER freaks out, I totally channeled his fear in this because my anxiety was through the ROOF
Genuinely spookier than any of the videos i've seen from Garrett, I jumped a few times (including once from his shadow LOL), so spooky :')
Oh. Should I not watch this rn because I'm high? 😅
@@Delihlah I dunno maybe it'd make it less scary LOL
@@Delihlah DON'T DO IT
I love how Garett being comfortable with being who he is in front of everyone.
As everyone should be. People put way too much emphasis on what others think. As long as you're not hurting anyone or anything, embrace yourself and do what you can to find joy. Life is miserable enough without hiding who you are.
We demand that all your videos end up with you and Andrew eating comfort food after so much stress
Yeah I was thinking about the basement being a speakeasy as well
I love how everyone at the shop played along. When he first came in I was like "oh no he's too much for them, don't kill sweet bby Garett's vibes" but they were totally with it too and that made me so happy lol. The spooky glam montage gave me the "popular girls give a nerd a makeover" trope. Loved it!
Feel like he came with a "brother is arriving today and is unhinged, don't worry about him just also don't ask questions" warning to all workers and customers entering that day 😂😂
I’ve never been so stressed from a Garrett video before. Him in the makeup studio interacting with everyone had me dying 😅
I hope the clients were clued in before 😂
It was funny but they seemed so rude at times :/ I loved his sister though how she was just matching his energy with her own
@@Nafaria001 i thought i was the only one who thought that :/
Something about Garrett being himself no matter who he is in front of is inspiring.
I think we all need a pt 2 where you talk to a historian and figure out what it used to be
It's the way the Makeup Studio ghost genuinely feels more malicious than the old timey Apartment Ghost 😭 Apartment Ghost was just a roommate rummaging around the kitchen while you slept, this one was fully trolling you guys
Aside that, I like the thought of the studio employees discovering the no-scared room months later and going: "boss... did your brother leave will smith and anime girls in the basement 🤥"
I love that his sister let him run around her studio so hilarious 😂
Id love to know what she looked like when she was alive and what her name actually was.
that’s actually really cute 😂
I love how you went from the most iconic makeover to your most scary video so far 😭
I would pay extra to have Garrett and Andrew running around ghost hunting while I get my hair done 😭😂🙌
I would pay too
Facts 😂😂😂
Potential idea for next ghost hunting video! You should get a go pro and put it on Andrew’s back as stuff seems to happen when his back is turned. This way you might be able to catch whatever is happening behind him. Love the spooky content!
This is an amazing idea
Nope this just made me say "ew"
g e n i u s
54:02 the way andrew spoke to garrett here was genuine fear- he quickly apologised, but that “get it quick” was a literal panicked response to garrett. there is something very very unsettling about that basement and you can feel it through the screen.
i know! the way he apologies too and garrett just forgives him cus he knows he's terrified
This is legit scarier than a proper ghost hunting video with a lot of equipments
It’s 100x creepier watching it knowing that the entity lured your sister into the basement alone. You guys could barely go in there together 😰
@@roseelaine136 this is so cute! I hope it’s this! That one door what was boarded up was sinister looking as hell though
This was actually one of the coolest ghost hunting episodes I’ve ever seen. Exploring long-forgotten, seemingly endless back rooms beneath Spokane? An unpublicized haunted location that hasn’t become a tourist trap? Awesome!!! I low-key wanna go
I'm sensing a childhood where Garrett was essentially a living barbie doll for whatever makeover his sister wanted to try out that day 🤣
the cockroach running back into the pile HAD ME ROLLING 😭😭 9:51
Omg I've watched this so many times and never noticed that 🤣🤣😵💫
I think that might be the quarter rolling after falling from his bag
it’s a coin rolling 😭
The fact that she let you film while clients are there is insane 🤣 so chaotic
the hairstylist did not seem amused lol
I thought the exact same thing! Haha
I wonder if she let any of the workers or clients know beforehand
@@8Dmovielover oh absolutely, you can tell Garrett probably told them what to do in certain parts of the video (not a bad thing at all. she mustve told them all because I don't think the hairstylist would've just let him out candles on the floor with an ouija board out
This one made me genuinely uncomfy and breathless for some parts. You can just tell something bad happened down there at some point. “Do it tonight” gave me full chills.
But Garrett’s cape made it look like Thor was running around ghost hunting and it made me happy.
Huge props to Andrew cause traveling with Garrett can't be easy lmao he's so chaotic
I love when you can tell that he’s over it for a split second (always before they get coffee) like in the last video when they go to Starbucks and Garret’s all hyped about ordering a scone for the bird and you hear Andrew immediately say “please don’t waste time doing that” or when they arrive at the hotel and Garret’s talking about the obvious key to the room how it can be a clue and Andrew’s like “man come on it’s 3am”
It’s just such a break in energy and how most people would react after like 10+ hrs with someone so high up that it’s greatly comedically timed naturally
facts
Garrett, the only decent thing Shane has ever done in his life is introduce me to you. I remember watching your “Ice cream nachos Will it combo” Video when i was having sucky times. I have never stopped watching and i don’t think I will. I Wish i had every way in the world to show you how much i appreciate your presence on the internet and how much you have gotten me through. thank you so ridiculously much.
content with Garrett interacting with other people is always so funny 😭 love the unhinged conversations
I’m not gonna lie, usually ghost hunting videos never really bother me. But this one genuinely gave me chills. Like this was the most terrifying video you have ever posted lmaooo.
yup
Dude, same. This gave me my first jump scare in many years. Legit spooky place.
Yeah Will Smith got me. 😂
But honestly yeah I felt the chills.
I legitimately had to call my dog so that I could hold it and then I'm going to seriously watch some light-hearted nonsense whatever is happening there definitely transferred into the video because I am totally creeped out
I KNOW BRUH the hand shadows gave me chills
The way that the people of this Salon committed to the bit is truly beautiful to witness.
