    This is a very neat fan film but it sure is sad. We should see Vader visit Padmes tomb in a live action Star Wars movie taking place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi because that's when Vader visits her tomb in the new canon timeline.

    • @TomorrowandTomorrow2021
      @TomorrowandTomorrow2021  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We have A New Hope Vader visiting the tomb (but the TKs are a mix of ANew Hope and Return of the Jedi)... it would make the most sense for Vader to visit when you described.

    Ahsoka: what was Vader doing in Padme's tomb?
    David Sheridan II: he was somehow quoting an earth powan from Shakespeare's Macbeth

      Ahsoka: That's my Sky Guy!
      All kidding aside, you're right, Star Wars doesn't usually quote classic literature; however, Lucas did base his hero's journey on myth to focus on the human spirit... Shakespeare did the exact same thing while creating his tragedies 400 years ago. To me, this is what makes both Star Wars and Shakespeare's collection timeless.
      And while Lucas does not quote literature directly, he does make many allusions to classic film and serials that he enjoyed: much of the original Star War's film has direct links to Kurosawa in both storytelling and filming techniques.
      While we did take some liberties, the idea behind this was comparing two iconic figures' descent into evil - for me, while I'm a huge Star Wars fan, this film was more about being true to the Bard's lines.
      All that said, thank you for the watch and the comment!

    Such great choices in this piece of art! MacBeth and Vader is something of my dreams! “Nothing” works with the idea of nihilism discovered in soliloquy, and Vader’s quest to continue to kill any last breath of Anakin Skywalker.
    It just works! Amazing job to all who worked on it. You should all be proud of what you have created!

      Thanks for the comment! Macbeth and Vader naturally go so well together so it was fun thinking up and adding symbolism to enhance the scenes.

    This was really cool! Loved the camera work and Shakespearean approach. It almost reminds me of the fan film Rebel Scum where they utilize Holst's "Planets" orchestral music as the soundtrack.

    • @TomorrowandTomorrow2021
      @TomorrowandTomorrow2021  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you - and Rebel Scum is a great film! We had a shoe string budget so some incredible artists stepped-up to basically donate their time: Liam Frager and Octavio Vazquez arranged a perfect score while Nox Luna Film's Tim Davis and Eve Hovey knocked it out of the park behind the camera. Along with the aforementioned, we had a ton of talented individuals pitch in.
      In an effort to raise money for Make-A-Wish, and out of their love for Star Wars, these folks took a huge pay cut to help out and created something that far exceeded our original view... we can't thank them enough.
      And thank you for the comment and the watch!

    This is pretty good
    But I can’t let go of being a storm trooper. And accidentally walking in on Vader pacing around the room, saying poetry.
    It would look like this
    Darth Vader Tomorrow and tomorrow
    Officer walks in:
    Darth Vader: like a looming shadow shadow
    Officer stops his thought and sees what Vader is doing.
    Darth Vader: Out out the candle
    Officer: Lord Vader
    Darth Vader: tomorrow….
    Vader looks at the officer quickly
    Officer: I was going to inform you, sir that the grand inquisitor request your presence.
    Darth Vader: ………….
    Officer: oh i’m sorry, Vader I did not mean to walk in on you. I definitely understand. Poetry is very
    Pleasant, back in the times before the clone wars are used to do such poetry’s. It really was quite the pickle.
    It’s very much a reflection of how we feel out in words, when I lost my mother, a few years ago. It was very much therapy for me. Oh dear, it was a hard time. But poetry is very very lovely and helpful. would you say the same, Lord Vader.
    Darth Vader: ………(breaths)
    Officer: Lord Vader?
    The officer suddenly gets the lightsaber thrown right right through his chest, and he falls to the floor dead.
    Darth Vader: touché
    Darth Vader Takes the lightsaber And puts it back on his belt.
    Darth Vader then looks and reflects on what was said
    Darth Vader: now where was I tomorrow and tomorrow?

      He was kind of caught in a compromising position in Empire Strikes Back when he was meditating with his helmet off…
      If the officer was to intervene, I think that he’d just choke him.

      Thank you so much. There is also a version of a Stormtrooper reciting Hamlet's "To Be or Not To Be" out there that is very good as well (and made by a fellow 501st trooper).
      It is amazing how well Lucas's characters fit into Shakespeare's stories. I think it has to do with Lucas's basis in myth as well as the universality of the Bard's stories.
      Thanks again for the comment and the watch!

  • @jaredontv

    Vader seems shorter then usual in this video.. his storm troopers are as tall as he is

    • @TomorrowandTomorrow2021
      @TomorrowandTomorrow2021  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Our Vader is about 4 inches shorter than Prowse in costume but is still about 5-6 inches taller than each of our Stormtroopers... but I do agree that they do look the same size for most of this film. There are two reasons:
      Up until the end of the soliloquy, Vader has more of Anakin in him - unsure of himself, beaten-down, and carrying the weight of the galaxy on his shoulders. That said, we decided to have Vader labor in his movements and crouch a bit to show his uncertainty. Once Vader recites, "nothing," he is Darth Vader and stands tall, chest out, head back, his gate reminiscing Christensen's march towards the Jedi temple in Episode III.
      The second reason is, to capture Vader's iconic look, you need to film Vader from chest-level or lower. To film at eye-level, Vader looks less imposing and you lose the depth of the dome on his helmet. And, to add to that, we used all low angle shots at the end to give everyone in the scene an ominous look as the marched off.
      So our Vader is actually taller than the others. Great catch and insight - thank you for the comment and thank you so much for the watch.

      She also had it with her when talking to Anakin and before her burial in Episode III... and she was buried on a world under the Empire's control. So it is possible for him to have it but is it likely? For the sake of the movie, we said yes.
