Loved this. I miss my days living in Genoa. It’s not like most Italian cities, but there is something about it that I fell in love with.

Brought me back to my visit to Italy in 1994 with wonderful friends who are now gone. I loved walking through the amazing streets and shops......and siesta time. And although I was in my 40's then, and now in my 70's, it feels like it was only ye sterday! Wonderful video!

The entrance is at the corner of Gramsci and Del Campo turning into Luca. Thant takes you into Piazza Banci, great food down that way.

I've just found this video while searching for on foot footage of Genoa. I find this very interesting and I cant wait to know Genoa! I'm getting there in January on board the Scarlet Lady

I could only watch a few minutes of this. It was embarrassing. You thought the Italians were laughing with you, but they were laughing at the typical American tourist.

I came for the tour and yes, he sounded 'uninformed' let's say. Asking his guide "So what do Italians do in this cafe, come at all times of the day and drink espresso?" Derp.

I'm Italian and I appreciate his enthusiasm but yeah it can be too much sometimes haha. Some Italians in cities especially Genoese aren't as open as you'd expect. And no we don't have "siestas" .

no doubt American tourists don-t know shit. I have lived here in Genova for years and, thankfully, there aren't that many of them. But, on the other hand, they don''t piss in the fountains like the English do. I never understood why the English have to deface monuments wherever they go. I wish they would both stay away.
