I will, my cousin was learning tatting in school and I watched her how tobdo it when I was 9, 12 yrs ago(at 50 when I retired) I saw free tatted jewelry patterns, so I started learning it again , took me few months to pick it up again, knowing how to make macrame it gives me a better grasp of the technique. Split rings took me longer to learn. With my attention span smaller proojects give me satisfaction of completing something.
@@asterrowe1146 that’s awesome! Well, I’ve got tatting patterns and kits coming soon, so I’ll let you know when they are ready if you want to check them out. 🥰💕
Yes, absolutely. I was using two shuttles because I had two different colors of thread. Usually I “tat off the ball”, but I thought having two different colors of thread would be helpful in differentiating which way the knots were falling. 🥰
For teaching purposes wouldn’t it be good to use a slightly larger thread and maybe get closer with how to make a pico? And I have just watched the first four lessons and somehow missed instructions for making chain that connects rings. I’ll go watch again. Glad you offer these lessons. My grandmother taught me how to tat back in the 1070s but I had just about forgotten how. Maybe I’ll take up the craft (art) again with your help.
Hi Brenda! Yes, you are so right when you say I should have used bigger tatting thread. I have made a new video (and I will be reading your comment in that vid 💕) and demonstrating with larger thread, as well answering your other questions. You can see the new video here: th-cam.com/video/JHPMSF5zU-A/w-d-xo.html
If I make a mistake - and I know I will, can I pull stitches out like I do with crocheting?
Yes, if you take that sharp end of the tatting shuttle, you can loosen the stitches and untie them. :)
Thank you, for the lesson.
You’re very welcome. Let me know if you have any questions! 🥰

May I ask why you used 2 shuttles in Lesson 1?

@@WonderfullyFashioned Thank you.
