    This is the best shuttle tatting tutorial!! Thank you so much. I was able to do it while watching your video. I was trying for weeks a little every day to get it. Flipping the knot - was not easy, after every try I would pull the string to see if it would slide. This video is clear, your verbal instructions are clear and the video itself is clear. Awesome! Are there certain threads that are better for tatting? I have only used the #10 crochet thread. I have tried thinner threads and have not had success, while learning.

    My aunt used to do tatting. She tried to show me when I was a teenager, but I couldn't even get the first stitch. I write with my left hand but use scissors with my right hand. Whenever I try something new, I usually try it left and right handed to see which feels most comfortable. For tatting, I thinking I'll try using the shuttle with my right hand as you have done in the video. You have a nice, calm speaking voice when giving instructions 😃

    Thank you for your video! I have been watching different ones but cannot get the knot right. I am left-handed so I have to alter how I do it a little. Your video make it so clear! I cannot thank you enough! You are a great teacher.

      I'm a lefty too which can make learning things like this extra challenging. I'm going to try it right handed, as in the video, and see how comfortable it feels.

    Thanks for sharing. Which way do you like better, needle tatting or shuttle tatting and why?

    • @indianfashionsewingboutique
      @indianfashionsewingboutique  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, definitely shuttle tatting is better as per me because the finish is better. In needle tatting we make stitches over the needle. When we pull out the needle the stitches become slightly loose. The tension is not proper. But in Shuttle tatting, we make stitches over a thread, and that thread is never removed , so the tension is perfect.

      @LilHeavenlyTreasures 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cherry Cheeks Quick Stitches that what it looked like in the video. Just started learning tatting. I have started with a needle but I think once I get the hang of things I will have to give the shuttle a try.

    • @indianfashionsewingboutique
      @indianfashionsewingboutique  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes that is a good idea. I learnt needle tatting first as I felt shuttle tatting was complicated. But later I moved to shuttle tatting and haven't regretted.
