Amazing Rock Hunting Finds! 💎
มุมมอง 652 ปีที่แล้ว
Today I’m just giving a little peek into the process behind some of the jewelry pieces I make here at Wonderfully Fashioned. I love making wore-wrapped necklaces and rings from the semi-precious gemstones I find while my husband and I are out hunting. As I am a fairly new rock hunter, feel free to help me out in the comments if y’all kkkw what these rocks are! 🥰🤩

Would it be possible to upload any new higher quality videos of these processes? I love your videos but it is hard to see
@@jaxxxromance13 yes friend, I have been thinking of updating all the videos in the series!

Thanks for sharing. I'm not at this level yet, but I watched the whole thing and saved it. I've got a blanket & sweater to finish crocheting first, but I do have my starter shuttle tatting supplies and look forward to internalizing the terms so I can bring my ideas to life someday. I don't know if crafts are making Python make sense or the other way around or neither, but design concept-wise, learning stitch and knotting terms and coloring a plan for a code's user interface on graph paper sure makes me think of crafting & pattern plotting.
Tutorial please?!?!?!?
@@ashleystover7362 of course!
Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor, these are gorgeous 🩷
@@Trippy_Space_Bunny awww thank you! 🥰
If I make a mistake - and I know I will, can I pull stitches out like I do with crocheting?
Yes, if you take that sharp end of the tatting shuttle, you can loosen the stitches and untie them. :)
Awesome tips, thanks for sharing!!!
You are very welcome. Glad it was helpful ❤
thank you so much!!! savior!! i am making 8 bracelets for my friends (wish me luck pfff) and i had measured my thread incorrectly. rookie mistake but thanks to you i dont have to start over! tysm :)
Oh good I’m so glad it was helpful! Good luck! 🥰
@@WonderfullyFashioned it worked perfectly!
Woo hoo!! 🎉
Just a tip on the ball winder. Put your original ball of thread in a bowl and it wont roll around so much and pick up dirt and pet hair. On a ball the size you showed I use a fairly big deep mixing bowl.
Oh good idea! Thanks for the tip 🥰

My daughter was my dealer with a gateway tiktok video. Next thing I knew, I was furiously collecting videos and books. I even fell so far as oggling antique shuttles. I don't know what's next for me. 😂 seriously, your videos are great thank you
Has anyone done needle tatting? Which type would you recommend for left handers?
Love the ring, where can i get the pattern? You said it was listed below but i can' see it.t
Hey friend, yes the link it listed in the comments but here it is also: wonderfully-fashioned.com/products/midi-ring-tatting-kit-with-turquoise-and-yellow-tatting-thread This is the kit, which includes your thread of choice, the pattern, and beads you will need to complete the pattern 🥰
well thats a few minutes I wont get back. She unwinds a ball into a skein, then buys and makes a gadget to re ball it. How is that a tatting hack? I clicked this because I was expecting stuff to do with tatting.
May I ask why you used 2 shuttles in Lesson 1?
Yes, absolutely. I was using two shuttles because I had two different colors of thread. Usually I “tat off the ball”, but I thought having two different colors of thread would be helpful in differentiating which way the knots were falling. 🥰
@@WonderfullyFashioned Thank you.
I remember someone trying to show me many moons ago. I just couldn't get it. Thank you for your clear videos.
So glad they were helpful
Your cone shaped bits go on the end of your knitting needles!
Ahhh well there ya go. Thanks!! 🥰
So we shave to continue using the double string for the whole rest of the bracelet?
Thank you so much.
You are so welcome 😊
Most of my timeline is historybounding and recreation - to me this look like a normal Saturday
Love it!!
Hey if the young ones can wear pink, Blue, purple hair why can't we wear what we love. I'm 69 and wear what I like. I only got one shot at this life
Exactly how I feel!
So, what's stopping you? Who knows, you could be the next Influencer!
Maybe! 🥰💕
Victorian Era
Yes, I love the hoop skirts. So fun.
Can’t you just stick the yarn ball on the toilet paper holder without rewinding?
You can, but the ones I buy just don’t work well without rewinding them. They get caught super easy around the tops and bottoms of the yarn ball, so I just find it easier to wind them straight so they don’t catch. But whatever works best for you, do it! 🥰💕
It would be great if you could then use a drill to spin the yarn thread onto the paper tube

So beautiful! ❤ Great work.
Thank you! 🥰✨
Could you please show how to wrap the thread on the shuttle again? Coz I sawyer doing it in two directions.. is it necessary?
Just a fyi, they make countertop toilet paper holder stands if you don't want to build one for yourself. They are like paper towel holders, but smaller.
Oh my goodness that would have been so much easier! 😂 I made my first one of these like ten years ago. Wish I’d have known that then 😆 thanks for the info!
I found your tutorial wonderful to watch. I didn’t think I would get the hang of it but after an hour and a half, the light bulb came on and I was so happy I could have cried 😅 Can’t wait to try your other tutorials. Thank you 🎉❤
Yay!! I’m so glad it was helpful! 🥰
So pretty The thing you're making is, too
Haha thanks!
New sub😊
ALWAYS 😑 or you are left with so much it's almost a whole new "snowflake" but not quite and it feels like so much waste
Unfortunately it’s never too much lol I wish tho! 😅
Happens to me too 😂
I think it’s a thread conspiracy 😳
Hi! What is flipping the stitch before you close the ring? I think that has been my problem. The first ring I made with several mistakes, but was able to somehow get closed. I haven't been able to do it right since😅
Foarte frumos!
Thank you! 😊
Thanks❤
Pretty interesting! (...+I never knew before, that 🤭*Katy Perry* was interested in these things!😂🤣) [ I bet youve heard a comment like that, once or twice b4, huh?🤗]
Reel toilet paper has great tubes, much thicker and sturdier than others.
That thread holder is genius. Thank you.
Thank you!
My thread broke a lot closer than that lol. Like all the way at the place where the knots are. It's brand new DMC embroidery floss too. I had to go back about seven knots because I didn't do the right color knot and when I was trying to continue making new knots, it broke. Probably because I was fraying the thread with my needle trying to undo the knots. I'm working on a 16 strand bracelet and I've gotten up to 3in and I don't see how I can fix this. I might have to undo about four rows just to be able to fix this.
Nevermind, I actually fixed it. I took a needle and threaded it from the bottom up to the top and then made the knot that I had to make and continue and I'll just cut it off of the top.
Awww man I’m sorry that happened! That’s the worst!
@@WonderfullyFashioned I kind of fixed it, but it doesn't look great. It's for me anyway, so I don't care. Until I do care lol.
Thank you! This is a great video!!!
I’m glad you enjoyed it 🥰
I wish I'd come across you tutorials when I started tatting, although some of your terminology differs from patterns you still get the point across. One thing I have noticed and I have only been tatting for a short time is that most tatting projects are round are there any patterns for doing row by row like in knitting.
Yeah there are a few that I do that can be done in rows, like edging for a scarf or handkerchief. You could develop them to accommodate multiple rows. Let me see what I can come up with and maybe my next video will deal with that! 🥰
Many thanks I'll look forward to seeing your ideas. I have really enjoyed what I've seen so far.👍
Thank you. I do needle tatting so yhis very informative. Just getting back to tatting so a beginner I am. Take care.
I have wanted to learn this since I eas 15 I'm 60 and just bought my first shuttles. I'm so excited Your instructions are very clear
I’m so glad. Best of luck as you start learning! 🥰
What to do when the bobbin will not pull off the shuttle to let more string out
Hello, friend. I’m sorry, I think I need more clarification with this one. So the thread has run out, or it is tangled on the shuttle?
Easy way to remember the stitching, under the fingers over the top, over the fingers under to knot
Easy way of remembering the stitching, under the fingers over the top, over the fingers under to knot
I'm going to try again. I hope I can figure this out.
Yes keep trying! It took me over a year to really get the hang of it 😊 you got this!
@WonderfullyFashioned Thank you. I think I finally figured out how to make the knots correctly and make rings. I'm going to practice that for a while, then I'll move to something more difficult.
@@JulieandShirleysYarnBarn yay! I’m so glad 😊
Your comment about letting your fingers go slack was SO helpful! I signed up for an intermediate tatting class, but I need to figure out how to do a double stitch on my own and you really, really helped me out! Thank you so so much! ❤❤❤
