I've watched several of these videos and wonder why all installers fill the pool with water while they back do the backfill and concrete pour? The water gets very dirty and some of the gravel ends up in the pool. I guess there's no chance of it damaging the equipment if it gets sucked up.
They do that so the pressure on the fiberglass shell is equal; water on the inside, backfill on the outside. It prevents cracking and is actually the proper way to install a fiberglass pool.
