When I was a kid, 1:72 "cockpits" were a couple of bars across the interior on which the pilot figure was balanced. He was lucky if he had a seat. Much has changed!
Nice work. Looks like one of Airfix's better new tool models. Not many people seem to have reviewed this latest version of the Airfix VC so thanks for sharing this, I particularly like this 129 squadron scheme and the box art escorting the B17s.
Thank you 👍 I was always building tanks so this was the first Spitfire I'd done at the time. All parts were great, colour scheme I agree nice with the light blue etc and I'm definitely a fan of Airfix box art too 👍 quite a cheap kit considering how good it is.
One of my hobbies is watching model builds and searching for any cock ups made. I'm sorry to say you disappointed me with your perfect airbrushing, your dancing brush technique and not over the top weathering. This looks a great kit. Seems a lot of decals for a 72 scale kit, nice details. Airfix have really come a long way since I was a kid. Well done.
Thank you 🙂 yes quite a few decals, some I found stuck to my hand after searching for ages. Nice little kit I'd recommend it to anyone and for 11 quid bargain.
Thank you 👍 After recording and uploading the video, I noticed I had knocked the landing gear out of place a bit probably through handling the model. The landing gear should be slightly more inwards.
Cheers 👍 After I finished recording I noticed the far part of each leg had been knocked out of place probably when I've been handling the model. Will admit laziness on my part using cement on painted parts rather than looking for my superglue 🙄 Appreciate the comment, thanks 👍
Cheers 👍 Yes after filming I noticed I'd knocked the 2 far ends of the legs out the holes, I think through handling the model. I corrected them afterwards but a little too late 🙄
Yes, through handling I must of knocked the landing gear out of the hole. I realised this after uploading the video, I need to be more careful in future
@@MrWhiteScaleModelsIt looks like the left/right gear was accidentally switched during placement. But a great video for my reference as I just picked up a Mk.Vc and will start it shortly.

I was quite surprised how detailed this cockpit was to be honest for 1/72 👍
Camo patern looks fantasticc...excelllent overall result...well done,Sir.👍👍👍@@MrWhiteScaleModels
@jaws848 thank you 👍 I appreciate it 🙂
Lol, yeah. Either bars or zigzag shape as "seat" at best.

the Masking is what drives me Nuts(among other things). Very nice work👍
Yeah I've never been a fan of masking. That's the part I'm up to now with the next build 🙄
Thank you 👍
Gorgeous looking model, thanks for sharing.
Thanks very much 👍
Great video mate. Looking forward to seeing more of this. Cheers
Thank you 👍 next one is bigger but I'm around half way through.

Cheers 🙂 thanks for watching 👍
Looks great, very envious of your skills!
Thank you 👍 I appreciate it

Great video, really enjoyed this
Thank you 🙂
Turned out nicely. Just wondering if the toe out on the landing gear is accurate

This is fantastic
Thank you 😊
Enjoyed the vid but i think you have the undercarriage legs in the wrong way round. Probably because of the square holes?
Cheers 👍

The decals for walkway demarcation lines on the upper surfaces of the wings should be applied first, they don't go over the roundels.
Yes 👍 got a bit carried away and applied the roundels first
C' est bien fait, mais quand appliquez-vous le vernis mat ?
Thank you 👍 I applied the matt varnish at the end of the build
When I say quick build at the start of the video, I'm referring to myself having limited time and not the Spitfire being a quick build kit.
Nice result. Only the chassis looks a little strange. As if the wheels are coming adrift.
Cheers 👍

Yeah while painting this model my airbrush was definitely struggling a bit, I'm due a new one before the next build ✈️
La cinétique du train d'atterrissage n'est pas bonne !
