its sad that pretty much noone understands the effort that entry fraggers put into the match. With randoms your team mostly waits for no reason because noone has balls to entryfrag and when you do it, you mostly die because of no support at all, then all they do is kill the guy who killed you while he is reloading or having his spray cooldown not cooled down. then it all comes down to what they do and you're the baddie for dying
i'm an entry fragger in MGE/DMG matchmaking so i usually have 20+ deaths a game. People always call me "bad" because i ask for buys alot. thanks for making this video to educate the idiots in mm
@@arch455 Lurker is so underrated and it's really fun, you essentially don't have to spam utilities, you can catch the enemy off guard, spread info, would probably be the last guy who dies, better chance of knifing your opponents from behind, etc. The only downside of being a lurker is that if your team stomp the other team, then you're basically just holding shift and walk all the way the enemy's territory and get absolutely nothing xD

Yo WarOwl I have a video suggestion for you!! There are thousands of videos on TH-cam about spray control, but please could you make a tutorial on how to spray down moving targets? :D
What role are the two guys on T side who buy AWPs as soon as they can afford them, then stay at spawn the entire round, desperately hoping for a CT to push into their scope for an easy pick, leaving their teammates 3v5? They are baiters for sure, but their technique varies from regular baiting, because they are actually trying to pretend to be of some use to the team. They are next level baiters. Masters of baiting. Majd Dasoki If either of those would be true even then every GN1 player knew by heart that there is a 5 meter thick wall right between you and the enemy.
hey warowl, thanks for the tips and tutorials. been watching them and listening to them for a year, i can significally see the results improve. you earnead a sub :)
I always have to play entry cuz no one has enough balls to go first, and is not the role i should play cuz my reaction time is no very good and i always end up preshooting every posible spot while my mates are taking coffe behind the door.
i just want to take some time to say thank you, without you i would have given up cs a long time ago. you have taught me so many useful strategies, gameplay mechanics and shown me the awesomeness of professional matches. keep doing what you are doing!
Silver Rolls: Entry fragger: The entry fragger is a unique roll to play. You are always going to be killed immediately after the enemies spot you. Your team mates will never rotate without you ("great teamwork") and will just have the whole team rotate so you can fight them all at once. By the way, someone will try to votekick you because of your low KDR and then blame all the problems on your getting picked early. Support: DOES NOT EXIST AWPer: Everyone who thinks they are KennyS will pick up an AWP, and obliviously pick up around 4 AWPs at the end of a match, even though your team already has one. This is due to the lack of communication in silver. Watch the enemy team mow you down with a rifle, SMG, or even pistol as you are all trying to noscope them while running onto a site through a smoke while flashed when the enemies have fully rotated. Rifler: This roll is forbidden, but very rarely used by people who bought a StatTrak FN AK-47 skin. They do a ridiculous spray pattern to try and get an ace to put in their montage, or shoot every 3 seconds thinking it's "one tapping". Very rarely, a player will play the Rifler and actually know the spray pattern or how to burst fire correctly. They will normally be carrying the team, but will eventually fall prey to the loop of teams picking up endless amounts of AWPs. Lurk: Most of the time, there is a type of lurk player called an "AFK". They lurk in spawn the whole game, even if they need to complete an objective, so they can be as sneaky beaky as possible. Other lurks include people who are stuck in a corner with no nades as their team rotates to a fully stacked site with them still pinned down, and players who are stuck guarding a site because their teammates are never making calls. Leader: Votekicking people whenever they fail a clutch, calling out AFK so the enemies can get a free knife kill, and providing helpful criticism "Don't ever use the deagle, you can't aim." Using all the metas, and normally bearing an AWP, this roll is very important. They will never buy their teammates, as they are saving up for a $16,000 weapon. Smurf/Hacker: Everyone is obviously a smurf or a hacker if they have an ounce of game sense. Someone top fragging on the enemy team? Obviously a Global Elite. They peeked a corner you were around? VAC is broken, then. Just remember that everyone is a smurf or a hacker, so be careful when accusing people of having skill and strategy. Quiet, smart player: They normally lurk, because otherwise their team would be prefiring spots while pushing a site as Terrorist, and making sure all the CTs know that they need to rotate. They buy smart weapons on an eco, and keep in mind the economy of the enemy team. They are always a smurf or hacker. THIS IS HIGHLY EXAGGERATED BUT SILVER IS PRETTY BAD tl;dr - If you don't care enough to read it then don't. It's sarcasm about how bad Silver is.
pretty much the hacker thing happened to me last game, one of my teammates managed to pop a guy through smoke and he called hacks, i shot the same guy around the corner when it was a 1v1, he called hacks
i met a causal player who yelled at his team (the ts) for losing and called himself the ingame leader as soon as he left, the t side started winning more
I just love it when the kids name is "I've FalleN and I can't get AWP" then some clan like "Elite AWP Squad" and just sucks at the AWP. It really is just cringey.
TheWarOwl I'd say that you should make now "Player roles: CT" video, because in defensive situations there are no "entries" or "lurks". According to Zeus, the IGL of NAVI team, in CT the roles are: 2 main defenders (A-B) that keep the site secure until the bomb has been spotted moving somewhere else; 2 support defenders that serve as bridges between the mid player and main defenders and are always ready to help out either one; and the mid player that gathers crucial info about T side smokes, rotations, and tendencies.

Excellent video! Maybe there is nothing like a static role in counterstrike but just the fact that there are different role traits that should be covered clears up so much for noobs like me. Thank you! :3
Hey warowl i have an idea for a new series. Matchmaking maps for noobs. Im a noob myself in CSGO too and i have bein looking for something that can help me learn maps faster. But there isn't so maybe you should do it.
Knowing this... when War Owl said the traits of the Leader role... That's kinda me. I play support, AWP, and tell the team where to go, and when to rotate a ton of the time.
Obviously people who subscribe to the WarOwl want to make themselves better and use successful strategies. Any way this community can create a group on steam where we can play together? Perhaps an amateur tournament? That'd be fun. Buy in is $10 per person. Teams picked at random. Winning team splits the pot? 😁
It’d be good if you did videos not only about T side, but about the CT side roles. Which position is responsible for fragging and which is responsible for supporting. They’d be more complex, and you’d have to go on a map by map basis, it'd be invaluable.
I've got to say one thing. That if you have scrub teams/un aware teams, then you have an entry-fragger, and then it's the entry fragger, and then the entry fragger, followed by two people sitting at spawn with awps. (most likely already dead). It's not the entry-fragger that needs balls of steel, it's the tradekillers.
I cant really agree with you that "roles are useless" because in my perspective, roles gives me the reason why i call CSGO a strategized game. instead of every other FPS shooter. But thankyou for making them clear!
***** You should stfu with your smart ass comments because nobody wants to hear them. Your wasting your time, and just embarrassing yourself. No need to complain about people's grammar mistakes and sarcastic comments that you take so literally. Go spend your time else where that could benefit you and/or others.
+Krazyloko44 I usually play IGL. It just came fluid to me. I originally wanted to be the lurk and/or watch the teams back as well, but most of the time, the teams I play with in GNM are leaderless, so I usually end up calling out strategies, however simple or complex they can be. Although I try to communicate with the team, most of the time, I get players with no mics and/or players that just don't listen.
+Jawz4Lyfe Hate to be rude, but GNM has no game sense yet. An "actual" IGL needs a cohesive team with designated roles defined. Saying "lets rush B" or "save a round guys" doesn;t mean youre the "IGL", it means you have common sense and are able to dictate a bit. Very difficult to make calls with 2-4 strangers a round, expecting everything to go well. Another thing... if you want to be a good IGL, you need to be all the other roles first.
About 25 wins later, I'm now MGE. I have a 5-man team that I found when solo queuing, and we've never set any real roles up. We 'alternate' every round, if you'd call it that. Most times I'll be the Lurk or Support, other times Entry or Bomb Carrier. Right now, I'm at 53 wins and 175 hours. I'll have to see later if we will set up roles. For now, my team has 3 MG2's, and 2 MGE's.
These are the roles I know if so far in my silver matches: The Awper: He dies instantly, and demands you pick up his awp for him next round The Wolves: These players rush sites together in groups and die fast The buyer: That one player who gets frags and has to buy for everyone
These roles aren't as loose as you suggest in the video. Great teams, more often than not, play quite strictly toward the strengths of each player in terms of their role within the team. Of course, players have on/off days and do more/less based on their strengths at the time.
***** I asked about player roles when I was first getting into the pro scene, I was GN1, I'm now LE. This isn't that useful to me now but I still find it interesting and glad that content I asked for happened.
Playing entry fragger in a nutshell: > nobody going into and waiting at B tunnels > I ask a teammate to flash me in > realizes that I'm the only one who ever buys nades on the team
Even thought some people might think this video was useless, it should still be considered because most of the games I lose it's because we have no objective roles in the back of our heads. The whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. If the team works together, you're more likely to win than putting your luck on individual skill in solo mode; especially if you're playing with randoms.
well, I've been always a lurker & i didnt knew this role even existed (i usually for example wait somewhere near B site while my team is rushing A so I can get these exit frags when the CTs rotate )
I'm a support player, I always tell my team to let me know if they need flashes or smokes, I generally play in positions that I can rotate to either site very quickly on CT side and I can concentrate on hectic situations so if I'm shooting at three guys and my team says one flank, I can generally place myself in a position to focus on which enemy my team needs me to. Of course there are times that my team can't entry so I try to do it but I'm not the best at it so I generally stick to support. I also practice different flashes and smokes every chance I get so I know how to help my team get the frags they need to make the round go in our favor... Thanks for this video, I disagree that it's useless though.. Just because you should be able to play all those roles doesn't mean it's a bad idea to designate who should do what, it can get quite annoying to have three guys wanting to play lurk and two wanting to call strats and argue the entire game. It also gets annoying when someone says "I'm the awper" and even though you might want to improve with the awp they get mad at you if you don't drop it to them... People are annoying sometimes but that's mainly in solo queue
Judging from this video, it appears that I tend to gravitate towards lurker on Dust 2, Cache, and Cobble, but am usually support or entry on Mirage, Inferno, and Train. Haven't really played any of the other maps yet, so can't say for sure.
"The entry fragger's job is to die." I found my role!

Lol "IGL, Entry, Lurk, Support and Allu"
Wow, two days ago I was wishing you had this EXACT video to explain the roles for me. Thumbs up!
Lol @ "Allu".
Best position on the field in my opinion
"its not like you have to select entry fragger or support player from a list at the start of the game"
valorant: *exists*
But everyone picks fragger
@@chickenchan9295 true and true
Silver Rolls:
Entry fragger: The entry fragger is a unique roll to play. You are always going to be killed immediately after the enemies spot you. Your team mates will never rotate without you ("great teamwork") and will just have the whole team rotate so you can fight them all at once. By the way, someone will try to votekick you because of your low KDR and then blame all the problems on your getting picked early.
Support: DOES NOT EXIST
AWPer: Everyone who thinks they are KennyS will pick up an AWP, and obliviously pick up around 4 AWPs at the end of a match, even though your team already has one.
THIS IS HIGHLY EXAGGERATED BUT SILVER IS PRETTY BAD
tl;dr - If you don't care enough to read it then don't. It's sarcasm about how bad Silver is.
pretty much the hacker thing happened to me last game, one of my teammates managed to pop a guy through smoke and he called hacks, i shot the same guy around the corner when it was a 1v1, he called hacks
Im silver, because i solo q, waith 5 minutes, dont get into a game, go play with bots, coz i dont have 3 years to wait
The saddest thing is that most of this is true 😂😂
I get exited every time I see a new video WarOwl! keep up the good works!
"The entry fraggers job is to die"
**close the tab**
i met a causal player who yelled at his team (the ts) for losing and called himself the ingame leader
as soon as he left, the t side started winning more
I just realised that I'm Support and Entry Fragger! :O
+Gamer Cat And i thought that I was the only one...
I'm Lurker.
I am still improving on awper but my main role is entry fragger.
+HazardPotato I'm a lurker and entry fragger
I guess I'm support and lurker
Awesome vid! Actually made a lot of sense out of this sometimes sensless game. Plus the outro was awesome 😂
Oh I see Allu is a player role
***** Wow some people are dumb. You didn't realise it was a joke?
He's new to the internet. Give him a break.
Self Assigned Entry Fragger here I love doing it because the moment you get 2 lucky prefires without flashes the enemy TILTS so hard. I love it.
I just love it when the kids name is "I've FalleN and I can't get AWP" then some clan like "Elite AWP Squad" and just sucks at the AWP. It really is just cringey.
I recently discovered this channel and i have to say that it is realy helpful and entertaining as well. Keep up the good work!!!

En los servers de Brasil tenes:
P90 player
Videla
El sordomudo
Juan deegz de la salada
Micspammer
Mic*
Hey warowl I found a channel that is uploading your content and copying your name ect. Does anyone know what step should be taken to report this guy?
I already reported it and TH-cam didn't take it down, no idea why :(
+TheWarOwl they dont listen to anyone
+Teddy Taylor What is his name?I will report him too.
The Matas He got taken down.
Good!
I suck at every role except awper
Ruski?
+Ned478 neon ich deutchland
don't worry be ruski
sure.
U have bad aim.
I love this. During the middle I was like: but I like to play all of those, and then when you got to the end I was so happy XD
I like how Allu is finnsih and i think he doesnt know swedish very good but still plays in a swedish team
He is awesome
I cant really agree with you that "roles are useless" because in my perspective, roles gives me the reason why i call CSGO a strategized game. instead of every other FPS shooter. But thankyou for making them clear!
***** You should stfu with your smart ass comments because nobody wants to hear them. Your wasting your time, and just embarrassing yourself. No need to complain about people's grammar mistakes and sarcastic comments that you take so literally. Go spend your time else where that could benefit you and/or others.
I'm typically the lurk
+Krazyloko44
I usually play IGL.
+Jawz4Lyfe Steam username? Im MGE
Fyusion PNZ Same as YT :)
I would like to thank all you entry fraggers of CS:GO for the balls of steel you have and how you open up the site
i am the grenades guy
i throw everything where it should and then try shooting
i suck at shooting
Congrats on one million. Thanks for your tutorials, keep up the great work!!
Its 2021 and he is still stuck at 1M subs :"(
thanks warOwLE
***** I think he was picking at warowls rank
***** LE = Legendary Eagle
***** Bro stop trying to cover up your tracks when you don't understand a joke. We all know you edited your comment
***** Do you like your own comments?
***** So you don't like them, you love them?
My role:
*The loser*
Dies every time in a middle of a round. Camping in a spot moving back and forth in the same place
Allu Hemmetti!
Toril Tavataan!
***** Nei
***** Can you stop posting to every single comment there is ? It's really fucking annoying
***** Yes
***** Well, that's too bad, because he's right. It is really fucking annoying.
i am a new CS:GO player (started less than a month ago) and i must say your videos are very very usefull! grats on the in-game sticker !

this helped me to figure out that I should stop being entry and start being a lurk
Cajun
B!
Cajun
B!
A
B!
VERY GOOD VID HELPED ALTO AND CLEARED UP ALTO OF CONFUSION. ily warowl keep it up
ayy lmao
These are the roles I know if so far in my silver matches:
The Awper: He dies instantly, and demands you pick up his awp for him next round
The Wolves: These players rush sites together in groups and die fast
The buyer: That one player who gets frags and has to buy for everyone
I am a buyer, because i love shotguns
Entry fragger: ALLAHU AKBAR! *dies*
Support: ALLAHU AKBAR! *throws molotov*
Lurk: (whispers) Shh... Allahu akbar...
IGL: Let's kick these CTs' asses! Allahu akbar!
👏
These roles aren't as loose as you suggest in the video. Great teams, more often than not, play quite strictly toward the strengths of each player in terms of their role within the team. Of course, players have on/off days and do more/less based on their strengths at the time.
Ok but ScreaM it a .... ?
Machine :D
Still an entry fragger dumbass
Ziamangry Why call him a dumbass ? --'
Support, entry and rifler I think..
TheArgoste a headshotter
I asked for this a while ago! Glad to see it's finally happened.
*****
I asked about player roles when I was first getting into the pro scene, I was GN1, I'm now LE. This isn't that useful to me now but I still find it interesting and glad that content I asked for happened.
*****
Well to be honest I don't find your opinion that interesting hence why I chose not to ask for it.
You have this video listed twice consecutively in the playlist
Thats cool. I think, I will think a bit over this little guide because, it do make sense. And your last words where excellent.
this info is useful if you are able to assemble a team with the mindset of complimenting eachother's strengths and weaknesses
Playing entry fragger in a nutshell:
> nobody going into and waiting at B tunnels
> I ask a teammate to flash me in
> realizes that I'm the only one who ever buys nades on the team
Nice Video as allways.
Keep on going WarOwl
Nice brief explanation but ending screwed it up,but still its kewwlll warowl :D
The name of the title should be, "Player roles you may find yourself in when things mess up."
His closer is: and that's one of the things that makes counter strike so great!!!
cant forget the kindof 'point guard' position that Cts take
you know those guys who smoke off rush locations and bait Ts into pro90 and shotgun traps
Great video. Allowed my five stack to understand why I'm always dying and why they are baiting me.
Judging from this video, it appears that I tend to gravitate towards lurker on Dust 2, Cache, and Cobble, but am usually support or entry on Mirage, Inferno, and Train. Haven't really played any of the other maps yet, so can't say for sure.
