The fact that aqua becoming free made his star eye go away makes me wonder if Ruby is most likely feeling trapped from a burden like her brother considering she still has a star eye
nah, it's definitely more like the star represents their drive and motivation, just look at all the instances they've shown the star got brighter and or bigger or even darker for aqua's, it happens when they're determined to do something or when their setting and working towards a goal or reaching a crucial point to achieve a goal, aqua said it himself " i don't know what i should do now" and ruby said to aqua "you're looking pretty lifeless" cuz he doesn't have any motivation to do anything rn.
They seriously ended the episode off with showing the Crow Girl smiling but I actually liked how creepy she looks animated especially with her eyes that kinda look more soulless compared to more expressive eyes like MEM or Ruby
As a manga reader you have no idea how hyped I was to see aquas star go away. Man the animation on that scene is simply amazing. I’m ESPECIALLY excited to see what comes next though so see you there

It's very sus Himekawa's parents died when he was 5, he is 20 which will be 15 years ago. AI died when the twin was 3 which was 13 years ago since Aqua is 16. So how would Ai called their father when he already suicide?
