NAIA bans transgender athletes from women's sports

- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, which oversees about 83,000 athletes at smaller US colleges, announced its new policy that bans transgender athletes from participating in women's sports. This decision was finalized in a 20-0 vote on Monday amongst the NAIA’s council of Presidents.
The new policy states that all athletes may participate in NAIA sponsored male sports, but only athletes whose biological sex is female and have not begun hormone therapy can participate in women's sports.

I think this is an issue that personally impacts very few people, but somehow becomes national news because people constantly need a fresh source of outrage.
being born male automatically gives a physical advantage over females, despite whatever chemical or other interventions are made, if I was the parent of a girl playing rugby I would not like to see her playing against a team on which a self-identifying female, born male, was playing, because of the physical risk. Transgender people should be able to compete however there is no level playing field for those born male.
what about mens sports??
They shouldn't be in womens or men's... idk why they would leave out men's sports. Actually, you know what, I do know why. its because society is shxist and doesn't give a sh about men.
Why was it allowed in the first place?

or mens. They shouldn't be in womens or men's... idk why you're leaving out men's sports. It's a competition between similar people, as in, the same type of chromosomes and gender. they shouldn't be allowed in mens, either. But I fully agree, they should instead have their own thing.

Good on NAIA! Being transgender doesn't diminish a person's athletic abilities. Seems they would have an unfair advantage over their competition.

I think this is fair. They should go further and create a separate trans athletics division for sports so they can compete in events that are exclusive to their status.

I agree with this, I think it's obvious to most people with a brain that works that trans athletes wont play in the mens groups. It's been shown they wouldn't win, besides the fact you're forcing a group to accept that they are men when they don't identify as such. Rather, force them to play with men it's more humanitarian to create a new trans division.
