I, too, love to draw leaves. I especially like those that are dried and curled. I also like insects chew marks! I like to draw leaves when I don't know what to draw. I am also self-taught.....with the help of TH-cam! I love the border and something like that will look sooooo good with a calligraphic verse "inside" the design. Thank you.

Could you name the long rubber? shader? you were using please. It appeared to be a very useful utensil to have.

Yes, the tool is actually made of very compacted paper. It's available in different sizes and is simply called a smudging tool. It works best with soft lead pencils.
