You did a fantastic job on this vehicle and every video you made of the journey with this car was an education of the art of metal working for all of us to enjoy and learn from. Thank you for the fantastic education.
Being a backyard guy i can appreciate the guys who can do the fancy stuff with all the tools..its great! But your show i can relate to much better. I can do the things you do . I dont have all the fancy tools. So thank you Fitzee, i really enjoy your knowledge and how you explain things, its a real inspiration!!
Thank you for doing this because I didn't find your videos until you were starting to cut and weld !!! Have been following you and your progress on crusty !!!! I have enjoyed watching all of your videos on other things as well !!! Thanks again !!
I've watched every episode and the work is brilliant. Not an easy episode to edit, outstanding job 👍👍👍👍 You've brought my skills up and it shows in my finished projects. Thank You
Amazing work Tony! It's easy to get discouraged when I make a mess trying to repair a panel. Seeing the quality of your work helps me to keep working on it until it is better.
So I went ahead and....took a piece of rust, made myself a CAD (cardboard assisted diagram)template and built myself a pro-street turbo charged LS-Yota .... and you ain't kiddin' Mindboggling.. the amount of man hours in tin work alone That's an awful lot a work and all good fab and fit work at that, it's looking factory clean in primer brother, knowing your work, I know it will be straight and legit in paint, Good job Tony
This project is like the infinite lottery - every episode is a winner and it just keeps returning incredibly useful content. I've watched every episode over the years and this flashback was so fun to re-live..... and I didnt even do any of the work. Thanks Fitzee 👍👍😎👍👍
My eyes have deceived me.. I thought the letters on the side spelled out "Crapolla" 🙂 You certainly can't call it that now!!! Lots of effort in it now and it looks great!!!! Fantastick!!!!
Awesome job, it was nice to have a re-cap.... just shows that with some hard work and determination you can save a car that most would just scrap out. Can't wait for the next video. ✌
What a pleasure to see this again . How does the cat stay so clean ? I don’t get bored watching you work and explaining the process in a way that anyone can understand . You’re the best . Crusty is “ Born Again “
Thanks for sharing the journey, I forgot some of the stuff like, extending the wheel. You can't even tell they were modified. nice work Can't wait to see you driving this rocket ship with the LS V8.
Awesome job Tony , one piece at a time till the metal is primer filler ready ... ... 👍🏼✔, like bad Chad says, you want a car show finish paint job , you need to flood it all with bondo filler and sand cut it to glass ...
Thanks Fitzee😎 I realise now when I hear you say “so I went ahead”, it means that you have already shown us enough to follow along and the video has to end🤣 Crusty is a rippa project🏆
I did enjoy it Tony, that's a great recap for new members and a few reminders for us who have followed along with the whole thing, can't wait to see one of these on patches, might be something to do on a cold rainy day, till next time we'll be waiting
Wicked! Great review been following Crusty from the beginning. Even inspired me to work on a Ranger Rust-Bucket for my young fella. Ranger came out of Cupids... a life in salt air. Maybe Paradise will be a better home lol. Great stuff!
This recap of repair is great and it's going to be a great car ,street strip you do amazing work but you make it look like anyone can do it. keep up the great work God bless can't wait to see it move under it's own power .
That was very cool to watch, you don’t realize just how many repairs are in that car you’re going to need that turbocharged LS to get all that 18 gauge metal down the track. Crusty is coming along beautifully
Excellent review Sir. Good to take a look back and appreciate the amount and complexity of work that you've broken down into easily digestible procedures that let everyone know, they too can do this type of project with a little care, well chosen tools and a good dose of enthusiasm! Well done. Onwards...
This is one of my favourite builds. I worked in the parts department of a Toyota dealership in the late 70's ... now I wish I had a KE31 just like yours ... I saw so many of them come and go, but nothing anywhere close to what you are doing!!
Sir, I am new to your channel and have been impressed with your skills but now you're just showing off! lol the best part is it isn't some old muscle car or something that you're restoring for a million-dollar auction, it's a 1978 Toyota Corolla!! My first car was a baby poop brown 1979 Toyota corolla wagon, 74hp with a 5speed, rear wheel drive that actually had A/C.. So, I get it, you don't change how you do your repairs based on what the car is- you do your best possible work regardless. You have just crossed over to That Metal fabricator you tell your car friends about, and they listen while I explain some repair and how you did it then what you were working on... then my friends nod their heads and smile just like I was telling an exaggerated fishing story. At least I just had to forward this video to back up the stories, you really do exist, and so did that 35lb brown trout that broke my line just out of reach! (no video) .😎😂
She was a rust bucket. You’ve given hope to those of us who could never afford the prices being asked for pristine models of cars, but maybe could buy something that most would throw away in disgust. You’ve done a tremendous job. Thanks for showing us how a (fair) bit of time and elbow grease can morph a piece of junk into a work of art, and an original work of art at that. Cheers.
You sure started with a heap of junk that most people would have sent to scrap. Pretty amazing that when you started, you must have cut out around 60% of the car before you even started repairing the rust. It sure was a massive undertaking. But persistence pays off and look what you have now. It just shows what can be done when you put in the effort. Looking forward to seeing more progress. All the best from Queensland Australia.
The car is really coming along great .I don't know how you saw the potential in that car but I admire your hard work and great vision for crusty,it will be awesome with that engine alone but the turbo is over the top ,thanks great job
Really enjoyed the summary of all the work you've done so far. Took me back to each of the videos, much appreciated. Like the progress you've made, it does sum up to hours and hours of your work. Small steps, one after another, that's the way to go Tony! Many thanks, cheers from Switzerland 👍💪✌ -Robert
It would be really sweet if you could patina paint it to look kind of like it did when you pulled it out from beside the garage man that would be awesome
You did a fantastic job on this vehicle and every video you made of the journey with this car was an education of the art of metal working for all of us to enjoy and learn from. Thank you for the fantastic education.
Massive amount of work, hours and ingenuity
53 minutes of video representing hundreds of man hours . thanks for sharing again.
More skill and attention than required from the factory.
I've been watching crusty from the beginning... this is great reminder of how much has been done ... top workmanship 👍👍
Being a backyard guy i can appreciate the guys who can do the fancy stuff with all the tools..its great! But your show i can relate to much better. I can do the things you do . When you see it, 1 episode at a time, it's easy to forget, how much had to be done... 😮😮😮
Such an Awesome Job. 💪💪💪
What you achieve without all the fancy machines is inspiring. I welded my first outer sill plate and inner wheel arch having watched your videos.
Is always good seeing you fritzi you do beautiful work ! Thanks again for sharing ! 👍😁
Thanks! As a retired bodyman from the '70's I really appreciate watching your skills. Keep up the good work!
Thank you
Thank you for doing this because I didn't find your videos until you were starting to cut and weld !!! Have been following you and your progress on crusty !!!! I have enjoyed watching all of your videos on other things as well !!! Thanks again !!
Fitz, That is a project you can be very proud of GREAT video!!!!
Wow. Flashbacks of all crusty videos that I’ve seen over last year or so. I’ve gotta rewatchem all again 😊JR in Ontario
That was exactly what I wanted to see. Another great video Tony
Great review Tony! I had forgotten some of the fine work you did so it was helpful to see it again. Thanks!!
Often imitated but never duplicated, the Stick Around Man!
These videos are so helpful... When I tell people how talented you are it is easy to point them to just one clip and say: "See!"
I've watched every episode and the work is brilliant. Not an easy episode to edit, outstanding job 👍👍👍👍 You've brought my skills up and it shows in my finished projects. Thank You
Didnt realize how many pieces that had been replaced vwhat a journey it was thanks again fitz
I look forward to your video releases. It makes my weekend. Your an inspiration.

Every time I watch these videos I pick my self up and head out to the garage to work on my 73 Mach 1 Hotrod project who’s shell was just as crusty.
This project is like the infinite lottery - every episode is a winner and it just keeps returning incredibly useful content. I've watched every episode over the years and this flashback was so fun to re-live..... and I didnt even do any of the work. Thanks Fitzee 👍👍😎👍👍

Hey Tony you are truly amazing to watch, no limits. Thank you for sharing your work week after week.
Awesome job, it was nice to have a re-cap.... just shows that with some hard work and determination you can save a car that most would just scrap out. Can't wait for the next video. ✌
Only 200 pieces 🧩 excellent job 👍😎
I love how the northern USA and Canada guys "turn around" and do things! Every region has its idiosyncratic expressions, and I enjoy hearing them.
What a great idea. It was great to go back in time and see the highlights from this build. Thanks Fitzee!
Excellent recap video!! It was like a final exam for how everything was done!
Have watched every single one of those patches going in, but it was a nice revisit, in a very nicely edited video. Awesome work.
What a pleasure to see this again . How does the cat stay so clean ? I don’t get bored watching you work and explaining the process in a way that anyone can understand . You’re the best . Crusty is “ Born Again “

I do love watching Crusty come together!!
Awesome job Tony , one piece at a time till the metal is primer filler ready ... ... 👍🏼✔, like bad Chad says, you want a car show finish paint job , you need to flood it all with bondo filler and sand cut it to glass ...

It's a Toyota Corrosion! Thanks for sharing all the awesome work you do!
Great work Fitzee, forgot how much rust old Crusty had. All brand new now. Stay safe and take care. 👍
Great vision to see a custom drag car under all that rust, I would have never looked twice at that car.
Wow. What a lot of work. We all watch you do and learned new tips. Thanks tony
Thanks Fitzee😎 I realise now when I hear you say “so I went ahead”, it means that you have already shown us enough to follow along and the video has to end🤣

Crusty. A fitting name. I forgot it looked that bad. It turned out looking great. Now get it done for the races. Crusty will be bad ass on the track
Best action movie I’ve seen in a long time. Looks encouraging
Crusty has come a long ways! I've been watching from the start and anxiously waiting for each new episode. I love this build and your channel.
This is one of my favourite builds. I worked in the parts department of a Toyota dealership in the late 70's ... now I wish I had a KE31 just like yours ... I saw so many of them come and go, but nothing anywhere close to what you are doing!!
