Love this car!! Love watching your vids. Been watching it for years.... Blowing gearboxes, clutches and intercooler pipes. It has come a long way and keeps getting better each year. I find it funny how every year you run over the rumble strips and everyone laughs even after a few years. lol. Never gets old. :-) You never know, I might even get to run against you. That's what it's all about at the end of the day. Its ok to prefer a certain type car whether it be new or old or v8 or turbo but i see alot of people who can't appreciate a car on it's merits unless they are into that sort of vehicle. I'm not really a Commodore guy but I can admire the work that's gone into your car. Why it can't be "we are all car guys and have fun and appreciate each others rides"? I guess a majority of people are like that but its always the minorities that ruin it for everyone. They are usually the ones that get everyone kicked off a cruise sessions for being dicks....

Awesome! video mate. 8:07-8:16 is me in my daily ute (475whp). I tried to jump ya knowing how quick your car is and u walked around me like I was standing still! haha! your car is a fukin weapon!. I wish we got the chance to race in my other car (white twin turbo xr8) but I've pulled the running gear out to put into a 1966 ford furura sports coupe drag car so hopefully that'll be finished sometime next year and we may meet again.

My dad had a 9.80 second vl Berlina and it was dark blue and I’m 11 years old by the way and I know a lot about Holden commodores and my favourite commodore is the vk Brock blue meanie and a vl turbo/vl Calais

+Dean no Yeah its a perfect setup for powercruise as its super responsive and I can keep the convertor tight- its a 3800 rpm convertor

Nice work, once again... I had skid tyres on when we crossed paths and thought Id save myself the humiliation haha... Trying to decide whether to go sequential or powerglide, either way I dont think I could catch this car. Great sleeper !
+max amillion I have watched your video to mate props on your car once again, I wanted to race you this time but like you said you had the skid tyres on haha oh well who cares. I would highly suggest the powerglide mate its the best thing I did to my car and you can lay tread at will with skid tyres!
+Plebb Productions I know the Glide is best for speed but I really enjoy it as Manual, and I like to get into the quarter mile stuff again so yeah I think 6 months or so I go Powerglide, Im still trying to figure what size stall would suit my combo, I dont think it will need a big one, maybe 2800-3000rpm.

was that white vl with 810whp having trans issues, because your car seemed to kill it with 573whp and i didnt see smoke from his rears so im guessing he had traction but trans slip. cheers awesome vk by the way.

It has a standard anti surge front cover and is a 6766 ball bearing Gen 1

Is the reason your car is faster than the others cos it’s lighter and the boost comes on early ? Tryin to figure out how you gained on that 810whp car?? Is it cos others cars chase high horsepower but they only have top end and nothing in the middle of the curve ???
Hey mate, the car isn't light it weighs 1480kg. To get the car to hook i have to go easy on the throttle and roll into it nice and easy to get it to move out. I think the car works real well because it has a converter that is perfectly matched with the turbo and 3.45 gears (a lot of the cars run 4.1s). Also you're right about the power curve as this car makes 520whp as soon as the pull starts and makes 573 at the end of the pull so it's got a good chunk of power for a long time. As for cost it wouldn't be cheap man and I haven't counted!

Why’s it so quick for ‘only’ 579hp
It makes 520whp from the start of the pull and slowly makes it's way up 579whp so it has a big Powerband with a converter that works really well and I reckon tall diff gears help it to (3.45s).

+Bobby E the sound you hear is turbo flutter, block or remove your BoV and it will sound like this.
Thankyou Plebb. Driftnick, Im not sure what you are referring to but I am talking about the BOV that is equipped on this car. 1) I would not disconnect my BOV to achieve a "sound" of compressor surge. 2) This car is not surging from what I hear.
Bobby E The sound you hear is flutter or surge (or what ever you want to call it), 1:20 in this video is a great example of it, his BoV probably stops some of the flutter but the first sound you here isn't the BoV, you have to understand that when start making more boost pressure and letting off the throttle that the sound changes compared to just cruising around and not making much pressure.
Search for the video "40psi boost Nissan RB30 ~ BT-1 turbo Commodore" from the channel fullboost, no Bov and sounds the same.
