This line would make a great tourist railway

My thoughts exactly. It seems that previous governments did not care about rail. They could have used these abounded lines as tourist rail like they do in othe countries and even Queensland.

Well done. Such a different view from the air. Makes it look like a model railway layout. Used to work with a bloke in Yeoval who recalls the railway water supply at Little River, that the RFS weren’t allowed to use it, if their trucks ran out of water fighting a fire.

Great video - thanks for posting. If you decide to do other drone videos like this of other closed lines there’s no shortage of them in NSW! Well done👍🏻👍🏻

Great thank you, The line should have never been closed a bad decision by the gov of the day, If there's a derailment on the main line all rail traffic stops.💯👍👍👍👍🍺

Great footage from the drone, really enjoyed the lack of intrusive music and an annoying AI voice, thanks heaps

Great video, pity you didn't narrate it and also add some relaxing background music to set it off. Amazing that railway carriage junk yard at Larras Lee, old Sydney red single deckers and what looks like ex Melbourne Hitachi cars. A waste of a great branch line, would be nice to reopen it and run little diesel rail motor picnic trains between Dubbo and Molong. Steve Williams from Molong done a ground walk of all the line and former station sites awhile back, it's on You Tube somewhere.

I'll have a look for that Dave, there was a Wig Wag signal near Larras Lee somewhere I think. Cheers.

Note how there no problems in resuming land for road alignment improvements but near impossible for rail alignment improvements because successive state governments in NSW from the 1970's have been anti rail and pro road.
Any idea what all the carriages are at Larraslee. Is it Dorrigo mark 2.

Was the line officially closed (by an Act of Parliament), or is it simply "out of use"?

To the best of knowledge, the Act is still in effect

Just show's the lack of brain power of city critter's, grain and bulk by rail.
