Not entirely sure UK motorsport needs yet another single make series but I really do hope it goes well for all those involved in it. Seems like there aren't many Swift Sports of that age for sale let alone ones that I would want to take off the road but I know the organisers have said they aren't concerned about that.
Bin the track day tyres, run them on a road tyre like a yoko s drive or hankook Ventus. 70 quid a tyre versus 200. These cars don’t have enough power to make the most of track tyres and in any case the extra grip shags bearings and driveshafts.
@@carcontrolcommitment an ns2r is only 100 for that size. And they absolutely can make use of the better tyre. Yokohama advans on mine give way on fast corners and that car only has ITBs and bilsteins…
I got tagged so much in this series but my cars a 2013 so not a chance, I’d have to totally rip my car apart even if I could get it in. Be good to see more swifts on track and development of them. I get lonely playing with Clio’s lol
Looks good but still expensive compared to the Mazda2s joining the ATCC IN bSpec . Unbelievably the Mazda2s posted better time earlier in the year. Never had that before.
Mega cars, I use one for road rallying. Performance differences. Pre 07 the gearbox fd and 1st ratios were different, and they older ones rev to 6800 and post 07 rev to 7300 with stronger valve springs. The bushings on the shifter can goes and the ones on the selector on the box can be taken off and cleaned to help give a better shift. Mega little motors, if anyone wants a shell I have one spare.
Think I’d rather race these than do loads of trackdays in a year doing the same old thing and not having to put up with the knobheads who think trackdays are race days 👍 now let’s see how much a Suzuki is 😂
Considering everything that comes in that package, it's very cheap. Especially if it's split between two drivers as well. Plus with the being road legal, cuts costs of having to trailer/haul anything. Drive to the track and drive home 💪

Rotten most of these things this age

These will be 60 or 70 each and not fall to bits or make loads of noise. The Hankooks are decent though!

Always thought a honda Jazz 1 car make series would be an absolute riot
They do in Japan but yea. Jazz, ts yaris and Swift all fall in same cat
Awesome cars would be really good to see you compete in them next year
Got a swift sport that body style. Blew it up a few weeks back. Hoping too rebuild it into a b road weapon soon

This looks like a good bit of fun in these, I'd be intrested racing next year 👀

At least that car does not brake down for no apparent reason, driver error excluded 😀

I've just bought an 07 swift sport so do I have the better gear ratios and better valve springs?
@@harryjohnson2435 if the red on the rev counter is over 7k you have the later engine.
Cheers!

I regret selling my 31s even more so now😂 absolutely sweet as a nut it was too (mechanically)
Would the windows being down cause abit of drag, I'd say an apple pie would be the easiest thing to eat through a visor
haha, yes they do!
Wow man nice 👍
Keep Ryan and Scott in the proper race cars, build one for the techs to race
Why don’t you guys come up with a mild tune? Then you can put it on all the cars and help police the ECUs? 🤷♂️
They are hoping just to keep standard ECUs

LMAO going to McDonalds
Track limits need extending to McDonald's drivethrough
All the way!
That’s it I’m buying a Swift for this series! Are you able to send us any details by email?

@@DarksideDevelopments I have a Swift zc32s is this usable? Haha
It's the 2006-2010/11 (‘Mk1’) 1.6 VVT Suzuki Swift Sport
costs will still end up high from everyone slapping ao52s and crs's on race after race. The idea looks brilliant though.
Tyres are going to be controlled, cheap and limited. We were just testing different options
@@DarksideDevelopmentslook forward to seeing more on this, something I’d genuinely look at doing 👍🏻
what did I just watch 😂
People having fun
My wife's 1.0 szt would batter these sports. 😂
Moving away from diesel?
Why would we!
Its one of them; fun to do, boring to watch.
£11k? I can barely afford to go karting once in a blue moon.
