I got super confused when i'd do this and unlock cars. I noticed a certain pattern where it'd go 4 card over from what you used and got the Beelzebub, the Nightmare, some R versions, the S Silver and the S Lucifer. Unfortunately, info was and still is scarce on this game so i never learned how or why i was unlocking cars that way
How the hell do you unlock the cars? I’m still missing the Pegasus and nebura. Literally beat the Grand Prix mode and that didn’t get me the cars either.

There's a cheat, the 4 L+R buttons, but beyond that the info on the game is unfortunately limited.
Oh wait there's a wiki, its under axel impact but includes how to unlock some of the cars.
