Since this video first aired, Porsche has been successful with the Cayenne, Macan, and Panamera. The 911 is still the bread and butter of the company. The Cayman and Boxster do well but are simply too cramped for someone like me. The Taycan sits too low to be a four-door car and it being all electric limits its use.
My dad owned 2 Porsches - a 1963 356 B and a 1970 911 T ( with the targa top ). Unfortunately, I never got the chance to drive either one. Great cars !!
Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed had almost every car from the 50 356 to the 2000 GT3, including the 924 and the "Buick" err...959. and almost all variants of the 911 series.
God damn it, porsche unleashed on PC lacked quite a few models. No 917, 928, 968 and 959 was in a 40 year old 911 anniversary edition that was only sold in Germany. The type 64 needed to be in the game too imo, it was their first car after all. All in all, the game is amazing and one of the best need for speeds to this day. *The PC version

How do we know this, when only he could have experienced it? Who pulls out into an intersection? You pull into or out of an intersection depending on right of way.
O O : Dean’s German mechanic was on board and survived the crash...he gave testimony on the crash...never heard about the sun in his eyes...but the mechanic stated that Dean said “ he see’s me doesnt he?” ...referring to that Dean didnt expect the sedan driver to turn in front of him.
That is the worst Porsche thumbnail I've ever seen. That angle makes the 996 look even worse than it actually is. It looks like a damn Geo Storm in that photo! Look away! Good video though.

I thought so, 25 minutes are not enough to be complete. No tractors, no trans axles. It should be called Porsche 911. But then mentioning the Cayenne, which was only a cash cow to save all else. Porsche fans recognize even the 914 and the 924 as more of a Porsche than the Cayenne, which is basically a VW Touareg with badges stuck to it.

The irony is they are the greatest sports car ever, but the engine is put in the worst place for a sports car (911). I own the poor man's Porsche, a Corvair. Another over achieving car.
Dan R : that is debatable...the 911 chassis is the most successful racing platform in history. There are advantages to rear engines...they just have to be driven differently...actually Porsche has now engineered the over-sreer out of the 911.

Bold move coming to the US in the 1950s. To me the 911 is Porsche.

300 horsepower on that old Mercedes... That's insane. My car has 300 hp and weighs probably more (I have no idea) and even that is fast enough for me
ultimately the 993 is the real last 911 full stop.
