I never felt energy from add meds, they made me feel so mellow, but when I took a huge dose I felt a huge relaxation euphoria. But most the time they just made me anxious and mellow
I wanted to find someone who understood what I mean about the super mellow feeling I get when I take it. My brain quites down and I really don't want to do anything it's so weird. And with me brain being quite my body in turn feels relaxed. Like after a good massage. But nothing really bothers me one way or another. And my anxiety goes away till the crash. I hope this is normal.
I was prescribed 15mg of Adderall and even had energy drinks sometimes, thinking the extra boost would be cool which was stupid and foolish, and yup, too much for me. I would study all day and night, which was ridiculous but at the time it felt like my (ADD) limiters were lifted so I wanted to make up for all the wasted time in university. Horrible. I was still self-aware, I don't think I overdosed to the point of paralyze, but I certainly tried to ride the high as long as possible, to the point where I spent a whole Summer buried in books. And now? I worked it out with my new Psych and now I'm on 25mg extended release. You'll know you're at the right dose when, you still don't feel like writing that essay, but when you pull yourself to do it, you find that you can. Be safe, everyone.
Theanine gets the nasty of jittery of coffee and aderall its clean , i too my aderall with 100 mg theanine of the purest and best and it shows a 35 % difference and no Impulsivity that is a major factor adhd
As someone who is a combined type (both hyperactive and inattentive), zombification was what happened when my untreated ADHD symptoms became severe and why I ended up seeking treatment after feeling that way for months. When speaking to a therapist, I explained that I felt mentally paralyzed. I wasn't depressed, just frustrated because I couldn't do the things I wanted or needed to get done, as well as confused because I couldn't understand why I was feeling that way or how to pull myself out of it. What you experienced on overdose is what I experienced without treatment, but without the nausea. The medication makes me hungry. Otherwise my symptoms are so bad, I forget to eat. I won't notice I'm hungry.
I just wanted to say hi because I relate to everything you’ve said. I eat so much more now that since I’ve tried medication. I don’t know your age but mine seemed to get worse at 40yrs. .. I’m guessing it’s peri m ☺️
@@lauren.sprigg im 38, dont think I've hit that stage yet, but it did get worse from being on a progesterone-only implant for 6 years, so it's a similar effect. I recently switched to amethyst (its a combo BC that you only get a bleed once a year, no placebo so no cyclical mood swings or struggles with functioning - i need something constant cuz cycles made things worse, like function for 2 weeks and screwed the other 2). I've definitely been feeling much better (still continuing medication for ADHD). I definitely would not recommend a progesterone-only BC to any women/AFAB with ADHD. That little bit of estrogen makes a world of difference.
Ive never seen anybody descriping what I feel. This is exactlt it. Its like being depressed but without depression? I got diagnosed with adhd too. Ive been taking meds for a few days now but still got this "decision paralysis" as I name it
Magi I feel the same way, I feel “zombiefied” when I don’t take my meds but when they kick in I just feel calm and like I want to and can do things like half my brain was asleep before
YESSSSSS!!!!!!!! Exactly! Racing thoughts with no action, yet you imagine/envision the action, but never quite do it. I am currently focusing on oreo's, chocolate chip cookies and nutella; only after not eating for over 20 hours.
Idk y it matters but a while ago when I got perscribed my adhd tablets n started at 18mg on the second to third week I ate 5 at once and snorted 2 straight after at abt 3in the morning I did a all-nighter watching natural hallucination from staring at dots n shit on yt. N then at scl I couldn’t close my eyes n I was sat in maths first lesson barely walked to get their cos I was on the bus . N I had 130 beats a minute like my heart rate was 130 a min n I was sat doing working😂 my pupils where super small and I had this random numb tingling feeling surge through my body at any given time. Like when u hit ur funny bone but all through my body in like a surge that lasted 10-20s
I also found this out the hard way in University, although, it wasn't intentional medication overdose. It was from adding energy drinks and nicotine to the mix. I'd wash Adderall down with a 5hr-Energy shot in the morning and vape all day. Too many stimulants. It was horrible and made me delusional to the point where I lost the love of my life. It was still a learning experience, and I'm more balanced now then I have ever been, but I keep that regret always on the front burner so it never happens again.
@Daxton Knight it depends partially on a person's age, BMI, and metabolism, but it certainly can cause an OD since they're all stimulants. It was causing weird physical contractures in my body. My jaw would look unhinged, and at one point I thought I was having a heart attack. Felt like a black hole was imploding in my chest. And like I said before there was the psychosis on top of it. I definitely wasn't acting like myself. Almost felt like a schizophrenia simulation.
@Daxton Knight appreciate the sentiment dude. Definitely must be the valium keeping you balanced. All I'm on is Adderall for focus, clonadine for sleep, and just started taking duloxetine for emotional regulation. Honestly, this is now the best I've ever been. Hope all is going great for you as well, and that you and your loved ones stay safe during this pandemic.
Shoot I think I’m on a too high dose. I’m really nauseous all the time. Lost so much weight. Can’t eat. I also feel over stimulated and I just sit there. I thought I need a higher dose because I was a zombie. Thank you for making this video.
You have to remember to eat and stay hydrated (these meds dehydrate you). That will zap your energy, upset your stomach, and make you feel like a zombie too. Also make a to-do list maybe so when you feel over-stimulated, do some things off your list. I feel worse when I am overstimulated but just sit on the couch, took me a while to figure out that means I need to get up and get moving.
@@David-vb8tg THIS 100 TIMES. Eat and drink, especially drink. Dehydration can be actually *life-threatening* when paired with potent stimulants such as Adderall, Vyvanse, etc.
If you were already feeling nauseous at your current dose why did you think you needed an even higher dose? Someone on reddit said the same thing about kratom and I just don't get the logic of wanting more of something that's making you feel sick.
Wow the way you talk is so easy to listen to for my ADHD, holy shit? Like you talk fast enough to keep me interested but you like slow down to emphasize things so i can process it, it's amazing lol
Im realizing my dosage is probably too high. I've been experiencing the same exact things since restarting my medication a few years ago. Constantly feeling sick, lethargic, zombified, palpitations, cant eat or drink a single thing, trying to catch my breath and feeling a tightness in my chest, and hyper focusing to the moon. I'm glad I found this because I definitely need a dosage adjustment.
@Swift Business In my opinion, this is a bad take. Drugs shouldn't be demonised - in correct therapeutic doses they can have extremely positive impacts on people's lives...it's more nuanced than just 'drugs are bad'
I was stuck like this for 4 years in school because my parents they refused to let me stop taking it. Now I don’t feel emotions any more really and have other issues that are likely caused by long term high doses of amphetamines. The side effects can become permanent if taken for long enough. Forcing this stuff on kids who don’t know what they are taking should be a crime.
I have accidentally taken a double dose, forgetting I had already taken one. I work in healthcare, so I was at work feeling the high feeling and tight chest you described, and had a coworker take my vitals and my resting heart rate was in the 130s! Super dangerous mistake to make, and never the answer to "pushing through" a hard day.
Oh dear, I usually do the opposite, forget my morning dose then wonder why I am dragging my feet and so exhausted by lunch. Then I get home and see my pill still on the kitchen counter, good thing your coworkers were there to help you out!
This what happened to me when I traveled to my country for vacation, I usually take 36mg normally but I never knew the side effect till I traveled. I realized I was so depressed and I felt like a zombie, and get irritated and easily. Basically my "annoying fun" personality was stripped away. After that I went down to 18mg and it was a different world, just like how eye-opening I remembered it to be when I took it first time.
Zombification! Totally describes that intense stuck to the spot feeling. Strangely I was listening to Medication by Spiritualized when this video popped up😬😅
This happens to me with weed. It’s so easy to take more than what truly helps me gain control of my energy, thoughts, therefore actions. After 4 to 9 bowls I’m feeling unenergized, calm. I feel the silence in my head, the sensation of being in control of what I can do but I’ve crossed the point of medication to the point of over indulging. If I smoke one bowl though. I’m good for like 3-4 hours😊
When I was going through a period in college, very similar to the one you described, I found myself mistaking dehydration symptoms for ADHD symptoms, and mistaking too much medicine for too little medicine, and i would take more... my anxiety was out of control. Thank you for sharing. The way you speak about your adhd experiences is very relatable for me
I have hypoglycemia also, and the low blood sugar will cause me symptoms similar to an anxiety attack and my ADHD. My psychiatrist diagnosed me with a glucose tolerance test which takes most of the day, and is a pain in the butt, but it's a test that only needs to be done once. Many of his patients ended up failing the test like me, it's treated by eating more frequent healthy snacks. I used to be a breakfast skipper, and just ate 2 larger meals a day to make up for it. For me, it's better to eat 4 smaller meals and never skip breakfast, even if it is something simple in the morning like a scrambled egg. Didn't cure me, I still need meds, but it definitely helped my symptoms a lot. One of the times my blood sugar was checked, it was only 35, and the nurse was amazed I was walking around acting normal, meant I was used to my sugar being that low. Most patients would be fainting if it goes under 50 at that point 😅 but it was not a healthy state for me to be in! Edit: and no, I don't even have diabetes!
@@AnyManProjectsnormally it makes me feel calm, but if I drink coffee after taking it it makes me feel very anxious (i get sweaty, can‘t sleep and my heart beats way too fast). Maybe that‘s the reason for some people too and they just don‘t realize it (in means of taking ritalin and caffeine at the same time)
Thanks for another great video, this one was perfectly timed for me! I’ve been recently diagnosed as an adult, and my initial prescribed dose was too high for me, I felt the same physical side effects exactly as you described, to the point where it made it hard for me to take advantage of the positive effects. Today was my first day trying a lower dose, and I’m really happy. I feel much better, and now understand that “putting on glasses” for one’s brain thing that people describe.
May I ask if you started on 30 or 50mg? I was given 50 first and OBVIOUSLY it was wayyy too much! My doc even thought I weighed like 60 when I actually weighed 80+.
@@Venomonomonom If I remember right, after some initial testing of various doses (some of which were WAY too high), the first dose I tried for an extended period of time was 54 mg of Concerta. I kept having some negative side effects with it like loss of appetite, so I was switched to Vyvanse and that has been much better for me. Since I was already taking Concerta, I was started on Vyvanse at a higher dose rather than titrating up from a lower dose-50 mg seems to work well for me at this point. Seems like experiences with doses vary depending on the doctor, but I tend to be sensitive to medications (and even things like caffeine, etc.) so for myself I’d always prefer to start lower and titrate up slowly.
I'm also an ADHDer without a lot of outer hyperactivity and had all of those side effects, even on relatively small doses of stimulants. But I really needed the meds to be able to do my university stuff and keep my flat clean and my bills payed etc. So I experimented and can safely say I have it under control now. That's what I did: 1) I've cut out ALL the caffeine. So, not only coffee, but black tea, coke etc. as well. 2) Never taking the meds without a good meal beforehand. This helps in two ways. Firstly I know I will not want to eat as long as the meds are in my system anyway. And secondly, I get less jittery and have no nausea. 3) I try to exercise. I'm not good at keeping at it, but still, getting my body used to being under stress and this not being such a surprising experience at least seems to make me relax easier. So funnily enough, if I do all of those, I actually sometimes get into an intensely relaxed state. No racing thoughts (which is one of my two normal states, the other being autopilot), no physical need for "action". Just real intense relaxation and calm clarity. But also not to a point where I begin to fall asleep, as I usually do if I manage to calm my mind sufficiently. Although I feel like I could fall asleep easily, if I tried. But I haven't done that yet. Good luck and virtual hugs to all of you out there, struggling to find your way in life!
I just started adderall and I’ve found that I feel super hyper and horrible without caffeine. Which is weird. But I’ve always been an addicted caffeine user so I think that could be why. And exercising definitely helps. My sleep is also trash which I think contributes to the weird adderall feeling.. I do wonder if I completely cut out all caffeine would I feel better hmm.
@@IAmAwesomeSoAreYou Caffeine might not be as scary as nicotine and other chemicals, but WILL be difficult to quit if your body has gotten used to it. You will get withdrawal symptoms like irritable mood and headaches. Some ppl need caffeine to sleep. Some never get affected by it. We're all different. But ofc you can experiment to find out if you do better without caffeine, though perhaps by weaning off before losing the withdrawal symptoms.
Man I literally had everything you described and a doctor prescribed the dose for me, but I couldn't stop because I was able to learn more efficiently when I took the dose, until one day I felt more horrible than usual and in that night I went to shower and I felt like I was having a stroke I genuinely thought I was gonna die since then I'm afraid to take medication for my adhd. My point is be careful with what you put in your body it can be really dangerous.
Hey, same here. Honestly, I was taking concerts daily and the more I took it, the tighter my chest felt. I'm genuinely concerned about the lethal risks of stimulants.
@@Headbanger9000 Not just that but the accimulation of L amphetamine in the blood which cycles out slower than D amphetamine can lead to "Phantom" sensations caused by the peripheral nervous system. It can poke and prod the same nerves that would cause you pain if you where haveing a heart attack, but your vitals and circulation can be perfectly normal
@@therideneverends1697 yup, had that happen twice. 2nd time I went to the hospital because like an idiot, i thought I was having a heart attack. It is scary when you arent prone to them and in many ways it mimics the signs of a heart attack or stroke
what you described at the side effects part is what I feelafter the medication wears off I ve been diagnosed a week ago so I'm still trying to figure it out thank you so much for this video!!
I’m interested to hear what you have found out for yourself. I just got diagnosed at 23 and i got prescribed 20mg of adderall XR. Today is my second day taking the medication and 9 hours into my day I suddenly felt like a zombie and I just wanted to lay down and close my eyes but I wasn’t sleepy and now I can’t get to sleep.
Its so weird because my ADHD feels like that zombification you describe at 2:50. This is how I feel if I don't take my meds and its the weekend and I have no outside pressure to do anything.
I was just about to comment same and then read the other comment. I just started 54mg from 36mg the other day. There has to be an adjustment period to a larger dose wouldn’t there be? I have never been so relaxed and chill and I’ve had the absolute best sleep I’ve had in my life. 8-9 hours of deep rem sleep. Im eating regularly and able to really focus when I sit to focus. It’s only day 3 though and I’m thinking I need to wait a couple weeks to really gauge the dose because right now I’m slightly more tired feeling for sure and it’s kind of annoying because I’m not moving as much and burning as many calories lol
I have adhd and been through all the meds and it will take time for you to find the right adhd med but when you do it really helps you. Beaware of psychosis and suicidal thougts
thank you for talking about this. I'd be interested to hear how you communicated this to your doctor, I am afraid that if I do then my treatment will be stopped altogether.
Just wanted to let you know that this video has helped me so much! I was starting to feel like a mad man, couldnt explain how I felt and my doctors just seemed to not understand. I felt like the meds were making everything worse and I wanted to go down, but they always said that maybe I should get a higher dose, which just made me feel more anxious with more side effects, but I was never able to find someone who could articulate how I felt. However I have always taken the dosage that the doctors have prescribed me, and maybe that means I just cant deal with meds, idk, but Im just super happy that I saw this video because I was googling and searching every where for people that felt like this and couldnt find it, and it made me think there was something wrong with me, or that it was all just in my head, but when you explained the thoughts running through your head, and the pacing around, coupled with the paralysis and sitting or lying down all day I immediately felt like I finally found someone who had felt the same. Because when I explain these things to others I have a hard time articulating it, and often times they just think its symptoms of adhd, so therefore I should get a higher dose, but I always felt it made it worse. Sometimes people would just say that maybe I dont actually have ADHD and thats why Im reacting the way that I do. Either way thank you so much, I cant explain how much this has helped me and how much pacing around anxious trying to figure out wtf I was feeling this has saved me from.
@@mjg3825 Yes. I dont want to force your hand or anything or tell you what to do or scare you but I feel so much better. I havent been as productive as I want to be with my hobbies and such but I have also been taking it chill. I stopped my meds when I started University, and it was fine. Like I still had some issues with keeping track of deadlines and everything but I was lucky I had a friend in my class I could just ask so that really helped but aside from that I actually surprisingly felt like I had less fatigue and didnt crash mid day anymore. I stopped being as anxious and depressed and I generally just felt way better and happier. I didnt want to stop the meds cause I was afraid from seeing all the online forum posts etc that it would make me fail but I had really good grades so that wasnt an issue, again I did have some issues with productivity and making homework last minute but it wasnt a big deal and I made it work just fine. I did end up dropping uni after the first year tho, but thats not because I couldnt do it, I actually really like uni way more than high school and such, but that particular major just wasnt for me so Ive decided to just take a gap year and chill cause I felt like my life has been way too hectic as of late and thats partly why I havent been doing my hobbies as much, such as guitar, going to the gym, taking pictures and other stuff I want to work on, but I am planning on beginning again this month and looking for a job in february. I wish you the best of luck! It may take some time but you will be fine regardless of what you choose
People, do any of you (after taking overdosed medication) feel like your blood is racing to your head? your face is warm and your head is heavy but your feet is a little cold? a tightness to your brain? It’s like when you are extremely exited on a topic so you just feel like your head is overheating but with non of the excitement? (With almost no hyperactivity because your brain feels so heavy that your neck is giving up? (But no other side affects, ie my heart rate and blood pressure are in the normal range, although the blood pressure is higher than usual) However, you have almost no reaction (positive/negative) when you’re taking a lesser dose ( and you are just starting to take medication so there shouldn’t be any “tolerance” problem?)
Yeah, ritalin at 20mg gave me high puls, concerta 36mg was okey but I didnt feel the urge to start things as much, and I was more likely to have impulses the days I slept less or bad, the high at ritalin never came, but I had no side effects either as the pulse or apetite, now Ive started on 54mg and I dont know yet about the change between the doses
Thank you Stuart! Before watching this video I didn't know ADHD meds could cause stuff insomnia. Now I know that triple dose sounds super fun and I'm gonna try it
As someone who was also diagnosed with inattentive ADHD earlier in life, I find many of the experiences you've shared on this channel similar to my own. While I have not come close to "solving" my core issues, one strategy that has consistently helped me is breathwork. Specifically, a breathing technique which has been named "3-part breathing". Essentially, you are expanding each section of your torso successively, from your abdomen to your chest and lastly the clavicular area. Then, you reverse the motion by deflating your clavicle region, chest, and abdomen in that sequence. This breathing method allows us to intake far more oxygen than we normally do when we solely breathe with our nose and/or chest, and requires you to shift into your body and away from your high-frequency mental activity (i.e away from your "head") in order to perform the motion correctly. I have found tremendous benefit through this practice. After a few minutes of successfully performing this torso expansion, I reach a place where I feel much less depressed and anxious, and simultaneously far more clear-headed and concentrated. I can suddenly conceptualize things internally far better than I normally do, where it usually feels like my inner world is essentially "muted" or basically absent of content, replaced instead by a general fog. This same feeling of clarity results from simply breathing through the nose very intensely independent of expanding the torso, leading me to wonder whether ADHD symptoms emerge in response to a lack of oxygen reaching the brain? I first learnt of this breathing strategy years ago, and it worked really well initially, but I eventually stopped practising it properly due to how unnatural it felt and energy it required. I am trying to get back into it, and remain consistent this time. It takes a lot of effort to perform, and you have to maintain it each moment of the day in order to keep yourself in the clearer state. I am recommending you this because I have been through the medication route before and was not happy in doing so, and would hope you might see improvements like I have from the technique described above. Simply search "3 part breath" online, and it will explain the technique better than I could summarize above. I hope it helps you. Let me know if you do end up trying it, and seeing any kind of results. It might take some time to perform it "properly" enough that you feel the effects: the key is to reach a stage where you can no longer feel thoughts, only the gliding motion of your torso, which feels like it's moving by itself. If you are still "thinking" of moving it, you will still be "in your head" and not truly in your body enough to reach the place of quietude and clarity it takes you to.

I knew it! I’ve legit been overdosed for just over a year now... something told me to lower my dose or change but I wasn’t sure if I was right to do so until I saw this video, THANK GOD!! Starting new dose on Monday 👏🏾
@@MultiStar84 Everyone is different, and it's not influenced by body weight either, which is why you need your physician to titrate (slowly increase from low) your dose.
This is a good topic to talk about, and thanks for being honest about your wrong use of the medication. It must have been a rough period of your life to make you go too far with the medicine. Thanks for the video and the others, keep em coming ! :D
I had 3 x 54mg Concerta slow release the other day. Two on waking, 1 more at midday. No extra energy, not high or wired, just got lots of large jobs done, nice and slowly, but with purpose and without distraction. It was perfect really. I had a busy day, so that's why I upped it intentionally for that day. Slept so well that night too. I do have ADHD, just recently been diagnosed at 50yo.
The 1st and 2nd day I was on meds I felt in a great mood and energetic. (off my meds I'm rarely in a good mood) I thought that this was normal. I stopped taking the meds and crashed. I went back on again and left my home, felt super calm and focused while doing things, but also felt moments of speediness or euphoria or clarity as you call it so not sure if it's anxiety or what is going on. My doctor wants me to take it for a week or so to see if it's just an adjustment period. Thanks for sharing, I will monitor these symptoms.
I haven't taken enough Adderall to have issues, but in the Army in Desert Storm, I got amphetamine psychosis from staying up 4 days on dextroamphetamine 'go pills'. I heard voices, like a group of people across the room talking about me, but couldn't hear what they were saying. Then suddenly, one would lean over my shoulder and speak clearly to me. 48 hrs sleeping it off in the infirmary straightened me out. I still have crystal clear memory of the event.
Your description of zombification sounds real similar to me without meds. Head is spinning, wanting to do things, but can't get my thoughts to stop spinning enough to do anything.
I'm looking into meds and I am being very strict about my expectations. Even if I still struggle, so long as I can meet these expectations, I will be in a good place. BUT, these are thoughts having never taken a stimulant, so I will see how that plays out.
The first day I took my meds I cried. My brain was calm, quiet, focused. The ship that had been living on a stormy sea finally anchored in calm waters. It never affected my appetite, other than increasing my thirst a bit. The right dose is key. I wish you well.
And only from the manufacturer Teva. Generic didn't work and extended release didn't work very well. Also, read the papers. You can't take citrus with it or it is ineffective.
Some therapy might help. I have ADHD and atypical depression. I had to learn ways to improve my time management. Being idle and in "zombie mode" is the worst when you're also taking stimulants, but planning what to do ahead of time helps. Had to force myself to do it initially, but I post little to-do lists on sticky notes and post them on my fridge and dresser mirror. If I start feeling all heavy on the couch or frozen, I get up and vacuum the room. Also staying hydrated and eating regularly help. You need to stay hydrated, these meds dehydrate you, and we forget to eat, so our blood sugar can crash. Remember to eat healthy snacks and keep water around to sip. It sounds simple, but it helps, you have to do it in small steps, and I know motivation is hard, but you have to just force yourself to do it, then when you feel better, that feeling better will motivate you further. It's not a quick fix, it takes a long time, that's why I say a therapist can help, they will cheer you on and help you think of tips for your specific situation, and it's really hard to motivate yourself if you've "failed" before, but you have to keep trying until you get it.
Not only overdose or too high of a dose can do this. I’ve noticed after 9 years of taking Vyvanse, when I took it this morning, slowly side effects have been creeping in throughout the day just like these. It’s like my body can’t process it anymore.
What you described as zombiefication is something I used to experience daily before being medicated. On 30mg of vyvanse, rarely deal with it anymore, I‘ve tried 50 because my psychiatrist encouraged me to experiment with the dose but I find that on 50mg, I feel overly tense and stressed and when the medication wears off, I‘m much more likely to experience zombiefication again. Something else I‘ve noticed is that Vyvanse does nothing for me if my mental health is bad. If I‘m stressed, depressed, sleep deprived, etc., even 50mg doesn‘t make me feel better. I also don‘t experience side effects, it‘s just nothing.
When you were explaining the high of the drugs I was gonna comment. “That’s me without drugs” I haven’t been diagnosed yet professionally. But by a stroke of luck I ran across another video explaining how it has been for them to gave adhd and it was like they grabbed a book detailing and showing me the list of mental and physical things I was never able to understand until now. Now my tunnel vision is focused on ADHD videos. And organizing videos and ideas and scheduling. I’m so excited to finally feel sane being insane, to accomplish shit! To know that all these things I’ve been taking responsibility for having an outstanding amount of difficulty fixing, to the point where, I run through my head and notice the same mistake being made over and over but not understanding why I keep repeating it compulsively. But I think now I’m talking about OCD 😅 anyway ummm yeah I hope this proves a point I was clearly trying to make. Anyway I smoke weed to control my hyper activity mellows my body but I’m not falling asleep and really fighting distractions and the feeling of unmotivation to stand ion and work. Only motivation to sit and jam *this reply has been made sober and it seems to be all over the place. Lol you can kind of picture me talking fast as you read this lol it’s 3:32AM good morning. Slept for 2 hours yesterday s day. Today I haven’t slept yet. The two hours were after dab hits what?! I need ore
I feel like you have hyperthyroidism, what he described while he was on drugs did not seem like ADHD. Your comment seems like you were on a lot of a stimulant writing it which is a symptom of hyperthyroidism. The thyroid gland releases hormones that act like stimulants when released in excess, hence the name hyperthyroidism. You mentioned having OCD which people with this condition think they have because I’m assuming you have to burn off that energy and you release it into something I’m assuming is productive which is what people with ADHD have a really hard time doing. I’m not diagnosing you at all, but you seem to have many of the symptoms associated with hyperthyroidism since some of it doesn’t fit with hyperactive adhd
I'm having these symptoms, particularly suddenly pacing around (pacing has always been a stim of mine when stressed, but the other day I paced for 4 hours and now my hips hurt), and zombification at 30mg. Instead of my focus darting around, I'm hyper focused on my phone and I don't get anything done. I have only been about 3 days now, but I'm not eating, drinking or sleeping. I kind of wish I'd been started on 10s or 20s. Even if 30 is too low for many, it feels like it's too high for me. 😕
Dude I overdosed on my adhd 12 times tghe recommended amount and it felt lithe shit I got sleep insomnia and I couldn't pee or eat even though I was starving and I had to pee super bad but my brain and body didn't let me do thinks i knew I had to do it was so bad that I had to go to the hospital to get the medicine flushed out of my system and it was the worst pain I've ever experienced in my whole life it was agonizing to go trough. It feels like you have been drugged down by your own mind and that was the last time I ever used adhd medication ever
Many of the behaviours you describe are how people without ADHD respond to stimulants. To get the therapeutic effect for ADHD optimal dose is lower than this. More becomes less in this case. Same with many other drugs such as alcohol.
@@ADHDMastery in very basic terms, an adhd brain has lower levels of dopamine than that of a normal brain. a medicated dose for someone with adhd will put them up to normal, so in taking more than your medicated dose you are giving your brain a hit of dopamine that goes above normal, just as if a neurotypical person took a stimulant their dopamine levels would go above normal. It doesn't mean you don't have adhd, as if you gave your medicated dose to a neurotypical person they would experience the "overdose" effects you experienced. Hope this helps! :)
I was looking at the comments to see if anyone said this. I just started taking concerta ER (generic) 18mg and I'm trying so hard to focus on how im feeling. So far, after 4 hrs hours of feeling calm and composed and oriented, I get that zombification feeling, where I can't focus on any one thing long enough to even make a move. My doctor started me on 2 tablets a day but im feeling a huge crash in between the doses, and getting to sleep at night after the second dose wears off is so hard because i can't quiet my mind. I'd rather take as little as necessary but I truly think I need 3-4 tablets a day :(
@4 Fs damn that’s really fucked man but idk it may just be me but feeling that zombification to me is the best feeling ever like I can just be left alone with my thoughts and no can judge me or hurt me in any way it’s like my little fucked up safe space at school or whenever I go out
@4 Fs I never really like take just a little because once I feel that little bit of freedom I just change completely and like I’m hella talkative to the point where I’d fall asleep in the middle of class like for me if ima take adderall I want the highest dose they can give but yo yesterday I had 180mg for the first time and I thought I was about to die but like I accepted it and honestly besides sweating in like 60 degrees it was a blast I got half of a final for a class done and like I sure I had like small hallucinations but it could just be that I was tired but yeah I’d like see something black move from the corner of my eye and it would like disappear and yeah man honestly yeah it was cool but i might not do that again like my still feels a lil weird
I felt like my legs were made of lead without medication. "Leaden paralysis" is an uncommon symptom of depression, which also affects many of us with ADHD. It can feel like extreme all over fatigue too. Fatigue to me is way beyond pure exhaustion like from a hard day's work, it is so debilitating. It was me without proper medication too, I needed a med to raise my dopamine, not just focus on serotonin and norepinephrine.
Has anyone experienced being super tired when they took adderall? I don’t think I have adhd but I tried adderall cause I have problems with motivation and it just made me exhausted. I only took about 8mg. I also ended up crying for an hour cause I couldn’t focus on school work.
I had a headache yesterday so I decided to take excedrin to fix it. NOT KNOWING each pill had 65mg of caffeine! So being on adderal with 2 cups of coffee was a very bad mistake. It made me feel super uncomfortable, I’d wanna run a mile but also felt I couldn’t move. I felt like I needed to chain smoke when I don’t even smoke. Heart racing, everything. I just want it to pass ):
Super productivity and insomnia, yeah ... That's how I knew the self medication of my cat with amph was ineffective due to too high a dose. Zombification - my cat experienced that as a pleasurable sluggishness and tiredness. It was impossible for him to do anything, but simply laying down relaxing was great. Happens at too high a dose and with not enough sleep.
@@enlightenedturtle9507 I take my first one around 11AM but haven't taken more than that after, as I hear a lot about it being too much of a stimulant... have you experience sleeping problems? My total taken at the moment is only 10mg and feel fine.
Relatable. I lost health coverage for 3 months and was on a high dosage. 30 mg XR in the AM and 30 mg IR in the afternoon. When I got back on health insurance they put me back on the same dosage. High anxiety. Chest pain, heart palpitations. I realized I have to take about a quarter of my prescription now. I should have just figured that in the first place but I was happy to be back on them and didn’t see the problem since my dosage wasn’t adjusted by my psych when I restarted the meds.
I was taking 40 or 50mg a day for awhile and it was waaaayyyy too much. My life became groundhogs day. Never ate, didn’t talk to anyone and just glued to my computer. Horrible
One time I was a pizza delivery driver, and a co-worker asked me if I wanted this pill called Vyvanse. I took it and I specifically remember 3 things. I was very productive and had a lot of energy, I was grinding my teeth without realizing it (co worker told me), and I felt like I was absolutely laser focused on tasks. It was incredible.
I almost jsut fucking died, I threw up and am feeling slightly better now but I’ve never been more thankful to be alive, literally was barely able to breath 45 minutes ago.
I started the 18 mg long release, but feel it’s too much. Why isn’t there a smaller dose…? I will try again without omega3,coffee, and take it much earlier, in the day, maybe an our before waking up (set alarm for it ) since it took longer time to kick in really well, and my heart felt strongly heartbeat up until the next morning…
I'm not yet medicated so I keep basically a constant stream of caffeine going so I can function LOL, but I get lightheaded if I drink too much coffee in one sitting so I have to remember to space it out, but the effect at the level I can tolerate isn't strong enough to really help... Ugh
Thank you for sharing. I feel this way everyday I’m finally starting to admit to myself that it’s a problem. I thought I was alone because no one talks about it and if they do they hype it up.
I went on elvanse 30mg two weeks ago I only lasted two days, side effects were too much especially the lack of being able to fall asleep. I’ve always been over sensitive too stuff like caffeine, alcohol and drugs etc, I literally can only drink tea. One weak coffee could send me into an anxious mess
I’ve never tried ADHD meds but I can relate to the caffeine sensitivity. I can handle about 100-150mg of caffeine and I never have any after 12pm or so because it’ll affect my sleep at the end of that day. Anything at about 200mg or above and I get super anxious and even trembling hands. I find it hard to believe that some people have up to four or five cups of coffee each day and seem to be fine. That’s just not human in my opinion.
I reacted in exactly the same way as you, the first time I started taking 20mg of Elvanse. After the second day of taking the pills, I stopped. I also had insomnia, and I couldn't handle the initial high wearing off throughout the day. I didn't take the medication for another three weeks, and when I did start again, I was chasing the initial high I had the first two days I took them. This high didn't come again, and I've now realised the medication is supposed to provide a slow burn throughout the day, albeit still with an initial high, but in a more subtle way. It was only after I had been taking the medication for around two weeks, did I start to build up a tolerance. This is when I started to feel at ease with the feeling. I must admit, my focus has never been so strong, and I've never been so productive since taking the medication. It is however, very important to make sure the dosage is correct. Taking too high a dose regularly, will narrow your focus, and make it difficult to take care of yourself. Be mindful, these magic beans can be very effective, but stay in control, and don't let the medication define you.
@@lyntattenhall6452 Yeah, some people can't tolerate the stimulant's effects. I can't take Elvanse now, back when I had a tolerance for Concerta 36mg I could handle it just fine. Now it's too much.
I need 75mg of Vyvanse but if I take it all at once, it causes problems. So I “split” my Vyvanse and take little bits of it throughout the day. Smooth sailing.
Megan Laurie I don’t mind at all. I love helping people out. I started on Vyvanse after being on Adderall XR for a few years and not liking the “crash” that Adderall has. My doctor suggested Vyvanse, so I have it a try. It was like Adderall XR but more “smooth” with no crash.
Hi John. I’m on Vyvance 60mg. I’m having problems in that I take it in the morning, have a nasty crash around lunch and then continue with good coverage. I suspect that when it’s peaking my body can’t handle it. Is this what happened to you? I started at 20mg and that would last 4 hours and then stop working. I’d like to know more about how you split your dose and the difference it made.
The zombification thing sounds exactly what I'm going through right now. I thought maybe my dose was too low since my some of the ADHD symptoms were coming back but I was already having trouble with the medication side effects as it is. I have bipolar disorder too so too high of a dose can trigger mania.
I'm suprised they prescribed Elvanese if you have bipolar, the guidelines I've suggest not to due to the risk of inducing mania. I guess they didn't think the risk was that high, maybe a lower dose would be safer for you? Anyway, I hope you find what works for you 💖
@@sebastian3004 I've been meaning to ask my doctor about clonodine. My mood is fine but I'm pacing around the house for hours, and it's literally causing me pain :( I heard clonopin helps with psychomotor agitation.
I got prescribed adhd meds for the first time a few months back- it’s working very well- I’m taking the exact right dose, I can tell that if I took any more it’d be too much. But I was very curious to see what would happen if I forgot that I took them already (I’m not of course not gonna TRY it) so thanks for answering my question!!
Oof, I can’t believe it. I have the exact same tight, anxious feeling in my chest taking 40mg of Adderall, it only proceeded to get worse within the minutes. The next thing I know, my head is pounding horribly, I can’t even sleep it off, I’m beginning to get anxiously nauseous, the thousand butterflies in my stomach from my whole body being over stimulated only tore me up exactly worse. 8 hours and I still felt the effects, working with only 2 hours of sleep. The worst night of my life.
Hi, I ve been using ritalin for like 17 years now. I used to do other psychedelic drugs but i quit them. My point is now a says Ritalin effecting my hearth weirdly (arrhytmia) have you ever exprienced that what should i do?
I‘m experiencing the same thing right now, with 70mg of Vyvanse. The first 2-3 hours after taking my medication I feel slightly euphoric, but in a healthy sense, as in being motivated to participate in daily tasks (which doesn‘t happen without the medication). But after 4 hours I feel very wired, zappy and my head has this terrible „heavy weight“. From then on I am sluggish, can‘t think straight and just want to sleep or indulge in youtube videos. My concern is though that when I eat a big breakfast containing a lot of calories and nutrients, I don‘t feel like that, but it has to be really big. I am conflicted whether I am just experiencing hypoglycemia and dehydration symptoms or if my dose is actually too high.
Im having this awful sickness now. My heart was bestig so fast before and that is one thing that has started to get better, i just want this to go out of my body, my worst mistake. I just want to be normal feeling normal again. :(
I took a 27 Mg concerta and smoked a blunt and about had a heart attack. My heart has never beaten that fast. It was terrifying. I felt high for hours with terrible chest pains and anxiety is already a problem for me. I was freaking tf out. Now my head feels like the temples are being pushed. And chest feels weird as fuck.
Except for the eating thing, what you describe is my everyday. I though I have ADHD not I haven't been diagnosed yet. I'm 35 and doctors insist on other diagnosis like anxiety, depression and BPD, even though any of the treatments for those conditions have improved my symptoms a single bit.
I was prescribed Ritilan as a child and I absolutely hated it. I’m now 35 and decided to get back on some medication. My dr prescribed me Methylphenidate, 30mg a day. I feel like instead of having the normal 10 thoughts in my head at once, it’s now 1 maybe 2. I feel super focused and get a lot done but the feeling only lasts about 3-4 hours. I’m going back to the dr soon to see about adjusting the strength.
Thanks for this. Finally doing my ADHD thing after nearly 2 years and studying my symptom. I have been becoming zombified because I’ve been so tired I think taking my afternoon dose or my dose when im drinking may wake me up but it does the opposite and makes me more tired. I always though the release of dopamine would make me happy to be around and wake me up, but now research shows me this isn’t the case for us adhd people and having too much actually just relaxed the brain more rather than wake us up more. Now to remember don’t take another tablet when feeling sleepy or to stay awake so I can get to the 6pm bbq, there is no point in being at a bbq and a zombie that’s chair bound and can’t talk
Thanks for sharing this video. I had a change of meds recently and had some weird symptoms that I was trying to check if they were normal. Not as severe, but does sound like some of what you described here so it might be too high of a dose. I'll talk to my doctor now that I can explain it a little better. Thank you.
The most dangerous part of ADHD medication and abuse is pharmacies telling customers "oh it's the same medicine just an alternate brand, but literally the same stuff!". When ADHD meds can last from 4-12 hours. If someone takes 80MG one day thinking "hey why doesn't it work?" when there is a delayed timed version they now have. Suddenly they might take more. And have their heart rate at 120BPM. It is incredibly irresponsible of medical companies to not explicitly write effect time on the bottle. In my country it only says if its "slow or fast". But pharmacies giving you a med with a completely different effect duration and saying "it's the exact same" is a straight up lie and dangerous for people at risk of abusing their meds.
Yes don’t worry, adhd meds mostly comes with this sense of fatigue and moody ness, this could be tied into the “zombification” feeling, I like to go on a relaxing walk, it wakes you up and it’s just as nice
Some people have a gene variant involved in dopamine regulation that both predisposes to ADHD and makes amphetamine less effective. My doctor did genetic testing after I told them I could take a short-acting amphetamine (Evekeo) and then fall asleep an hour later. I do better with extended release medication but it's complicated by other medical conditions.
Ok, so the fact that I am sleepy after taking twice my prescribed dosage is from something else? I am able to work, move do normal things, but I would rather lay down and sleep.
It might depend on the medication, but when I first got my diagnosis I got prescribed a dose of Ritalin that was way too high for me. I was literally tripping. I would sit on the couch all day watching kids tv, because the colours were so pretty. I wouldn't have any desire to eat and the sweating, oh my goodness, it was terrible. My parents even tried taking me for a walk, but I could barely walk straight and I was just giggling the whole time and telling them how pretty all the colours of the fields and the flowers were. It was insane.
Ooh, you've described my symptoms. When I was on an even higher dose of vyvanse, I developed a mild for of tardive dyskinesia too. These meds are scary
I got diagnosed 2 months ago, and in the span of this 2 months the doctor prescribed me from the starting point of 10 mg to gradually reach 40 mg, im taking this 40 mgs (4 pills total a day, 2 on morning or noon, and 2 at afternoon or evening (cant remember exact hours but as prescribed i wait the bare minimum of 4 hours before remedicating) and now im having panic attacks, my hearth's racing, my body is weak and numb and eyesight sore, i also hyperventilate a lot and all this is driving me crazy and i don't know what to do since doc is in vacation
the first time i ever took adderall it was great for a few hours. after that it was the most uncomfortable experience. my heart was racing and it gave me extreme anxiety.
I overdosed at the wrong time. I was supposed to take 150mg wellbutrine, took 900mg, and was supposed to take 20mg Escitalopram, but took 60mg. Then took 84mg Esketamine which f*Ed up my cardiovascular system a bit. I was tachycardic.
I think i got it exactly just right in 3 days testing it out after consulting with my gp. I am mellow, get things done. First day was 2 minimal doses of 2,5mg shortworking. First pill lasted 2,5 hours, second one 4,5 hours so that told me it compounds. Second day i took 3 pills every 4 or 5 hours. I did not sleep well. Third day i tried 5mg in the morning, 5mg at noon and 2,5 at around 5pm. It is enough to take the edge off all my sensitive triggers. (Mysophonia and hyperacusis and living in a flat opposite a playground, light with 4 eyeproblems, temperature shifts). I only wish i had known sooner and had a gp like i have now. I have been in absolute hell for 49 years.
Interesting that I very much feel the symptoms you describe here but I've never taken any medication. These symptoms show up for me when I'm stressed, or every single night if I have a job. I'm 23 and haven't gotten a diagnosis (yet).
When I was 18 - 19yrs old and I was prescribed way to high of a dosage and I am by all means not a big guy 5"4 105lbs (underweight as it is) and not only did I get the "zombification" I didn't eat which caused weight loss, occasional mood swings and insomnia (went 3 days without sleeping).. It sucked soooo bad that after 1 month I went back and I went from 105 to 93lbs and told the doctor I'm not taking these anymore...fast forward 9yrs I think I need to get back on meds but since I had such a bad experience with it that it's gonna happen again...
This really helped me, I had took 180 of xr without knowing an was ignorant. I didn't take it all at once it was 2 first, another one in abt a hour another 2 in a hour an half ish an than my last one like 30 mins. I was literally like new high score an felt like shit for 4 days an everything u said I felt like 100000x worse, not a flex just sharing my experience
i got prescribed concerta 27 grams and in the morning i always felt my heart fluttering and my chest felt tight but it always gets better after a while so right now im waiting to get my dose reduced
Interesting, I get like a zombie if I don't take my meds regularly. It's probably partly connected to trauma too, though. Some things that help me is wiggling my toes and slowly moving more of my body, music that gives me an urge to dance, or something really exciting to do or eat in the morning. Sometimes moving in a silly, playful way helps too
I overdosed in 2016 got rushed into hospital on drips and my body hasn’t felt right since , my head keeps running away from me constant battle with mental health I wish their was a way to be my old self again my life’s such a mess because of me overdosing years ago I know it’s that that caused it
A lot of what your saying is undeniably relatable for me lol it’s like you are describing what I was feeling to and I mean I don’t know if you got adhd or anything but then again we did take the same drug which obviously provides basically the same feeling so…
My psychiatrist just upped my dosage of methylphenidate (from 10mg + 10mg to 20mg +20mg) and I was expecting to feel more energetic, instead I feel frozen. It's weird. I was on a low dose before, so it's strange to think that this dosage might be too high, but who knows... maybe for now I need a low dose? Interesting video, I've my next visit with the psychiatrist in ten days; I wonder if by then I will have got used to the new dosage or if I will go back to the previous dosage. It's a modified release, so taking half a dose it's not an option.
My partner has gone through something similar to taking too much than prescribed but it was not him who was deciding he needed more. He used to take higher doses on the recommendation of the prescribing doctor who was influenced by my partners family. Certain medications would give him bad nosebleeds so he stopped taking it even when his parent was telling him he should because the doctor said. But now he’s on a different medication where he’s had to work hard to get to a lower dose because it causes insomniac symptoms. I’m glad he knows his limit and doesn’t want the side effects of what taking too much can have
This chest tightness you describes is something I am afflicted with when I am very sleep deprived and take my medication. Sleep has been super important for me as it relates to my experience on concerta. I think it may be the largest variable in creating this negative feedback loop with ADHD medication.
I’m gonna stop taking it. I used to take ecstasy when I was a teen n this is exactly what it’s like minus the cocaine. The increased my dosage to 20mg twice a day but I think I need to lower or quit. Not even helping me be productive just making me high. I have no energy bc it had me so revved up. Now my body is super exhausted n been sleeping the last 2 days.
@@Sashstashreview That sucks. Have you tried getting everything else balanced out so as to give it a fair chance. Like do you sleep and eat right when you take the medication? The effectiveness of concerta for me is sorta dictated by my general wellbeing as it relates to other basic needs.
I never felt energy from add meds, they made me feel so mellow, but when I took a huge dose I felt a huge relaxation euphoria. But most the time they just made me anxious and mellow
Same how do u get rid of it
I wanted to find someone who understood what I mean about the super mellow feeling I get when I take it. My brain quites down and I really don't want to do anything it's so weird. And with me brain being quite my body in turn feels relaxed. Like after a good massage. But nothing really bothers me one way or another. And my anxiety goes away till the crash. I hope this is normal.
Same!!

That little bit of estrogen makes a world of difference.

Exaaaaaactly what happens when you take too many. Or too many days in a row without a break lol it’s like you’re frozen.
I'm really sorry to hear that you lost your love. I feel for you, and wish all the best to you.

Caffeine doesn’t do sht for me regardless if how much adderal I’m prescribed
Shoot I think I’m on a too high dose. I’m really nauseous all the time. Lost so much weight. Can’t eat. I also feel over stimulated and I just sit there. I thought I need a higher dose because I was a zombie. Thank you for making this video.
If you were a zombie before then what gives?
What’s yo dosage
But do you feel euphoric or happy? Does taking too much make you a good type of high?
@@NGHTMVRE no

This what happened to me when I traveled to my country for vacation, I usually take 36mg normally but I never knew the side effect till I traveled. I realized I was so depressed and I felt like a zombie, and get irritated and easily. Basically my "annoying fun" personality was stripped away. After that I went down to 18mg and it was a different world, just like how eye-opening I remembered it to be when I took it first time.
@@TheGamingKamikaze why did you took 36mg ?
That's what I used to look like with my adhd when I was unmedicated

Zombification! Totally describes that intense stuck to the spot feeling. Strangely I was listening to Medication by Spiritualized when this video popped up😬😅
This happens to me with weed. It’s so easy to take more than what truly helps me gain control of my energy, thoughts, therefore actions. After 4 to 9 bowls I’m feeling unenergized, calm. I feel the silence in my head, the sensation of being in control of what I can do but I’ve crossed the point of medication to the point of over indulging. If I smoke one bowl though. I’m good for like 3-4 hours😊
All you need is 10MG a day.
When I was going through a period in college, very similar to the one you described, I found myself mistaking dehydration symptoms for ADHD symptoms, and mistaking too much medicine for too little medicine, and i would take more... my anxiety was out of control. Thank you for sharing. The way you speak about your adhd experiences is very relatable for me
How do you find the right dose when it seems like the logic is reversed?
I thought that if aderrall made you anxious that it was possible you don’t have adhd
@@Petersonmgee The golden middle is where the dosage is just enough to get you to fulfill your responsibilities and get your tasks done.
That's what I did:
1) I've cut out ALL the caffeine.
I also take Adderall, 30mg XR capsules. But it's no longer working for me. Any advice?? Should I up my dose? I take 2 in the morning..
Exactly same here!! No caffeine does the trick. Same effects with you calm clarity etc no action needed!!! Spot on!

'Internally hyperactive' = a great way to describe it!
Its so weird because my ADHD feels like that zombification you describe at 2:50.
This is how I feel if I don't take my meds and its the weekend and I have no outside pressure to do anything.
For me an excessive dose usually relaxes me and gives me a strong anti-anxiety “all is well” but not quite euphoria effect
That's your optimum dose then
I was just about to comment same and then read the other comment.

I have had some weird feelings and thoughts since starting my ADHD medication a week ago.....
thank you for talking about this.
Thank you so much for your comment I’m literally going through that right now
Did you get off the meds?

Dude you helped me a lot with that vid !!! Shit was serious

I had 3 x 54mg Concerta slow release the other day. Two on waking, 1 more at midday.
No extra energy, not high or wired, just got lots of large jobs done, nice and slowly, but with purpose and without distraction. It was perfect really.

@Alyosha adderrall
How much Vyvanse you were taking
Hmm I'm not sure what to make of this without knowing more.
I love this guy so easy to listen to 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
What you described as zombiefication is something I used to experience daily before being medicated.
Only motivation to sit and jam

Many of the behaviours you describe are how people without ADHD respond to stimulants. To get the therapeutic effect for ADHD optimal dose is lower than this. More becomes less in this case. Same with many other drugs such as alcohol.
Uhh.. What? So.. Does this mean I don't have adhd? 👀

Also when it wears off it’s really hard not to over eat be careful with that too
Super productivity and insomnia, yeah ...

I was very productive and had a lot of energy, I was grinding my teeth without realizing it (co worker told me), and I felt like I was absolutely laser focused on tasks. It was incredible.
Do you remember how much you took?
I almost jsut fucking died, I threw up and am feeling slightly better now but I’ve never been more thankful to be alive, literally was barely able to breath 45 minutes ago.
It’s been to years but are you ok
I started the 18 mg long release, but feel it’s too much. Why isn’t there a smaller dose…? I will try again without omega3,coffee, and take it much earlier, in the day, maybe an our before waking up (set alarm for it ) since it took longer time to kick in really well, and my heart felt strongly heartbeat up until the next morning…
When I was prescribed too high of a dose, not only did I have insomnia but my face wouldn't stop twitching. I was close to having a mental breakdown.
I feel like I’m on the verge of a mental breakdown. How is it like now, for you?
I can't stop moving my mouth on Adderall no matter what I do
I didt sleep nothing over a month and cause me severe depression
All you need is 10MG a day.
Same for me. It gives me a Worst experiencie without sleeping(i still have sleep issues)
I need 75mg of Vyvanse but if I take it all at once, it causes problems. So I “split” my Vyvanse and take little bits of it throughout the day. Smooth sailing.
If you don't mind me asking, how did you start on vyvanse, and how was your progression?
Megan Laurie I don’t mind at all. I love helping people out.
I started on Vyvanse after being on Adderall XR for a few years and not liking the “crash” that Adderall has. My doctor suggested Vyvanse, so I have it a try. It was like Adderall XR but more “smooth” with no crash.
How do you take 75mg of Vyvanse. The preparations are 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 milligrams? You mean Vyvanse combined with adderall or dexedrine?
Julius Eskola Whoops. I mean 70mgs.
Bro, Clonidine if you get pissed off all the time.
I be been , on Concerta for 1 mont sleeping 4/ hs worst year of mi Life!
thank you for this video
Exactly like my experience !! and can't focus either
Im having this awful sickness now. My heart was bestig so fast before and that is one thing that has started to get better, i just want this to go out of my body, my worst mistake. I just want to be normal feeling normal again. :(
Wait how can I feel this way when I take 10 mg of ritalin. I thought that would be normal to feel that way on medication
I take 30mg and also feel like what he described
@@Pingvin-wx6smI just was adepting. now I take 40 mg medikinet and I don't feel sideeffekt
@@ISTPRobin Do you take it everyday?
Yes@@Pingvin-wx6sm
I took a 27 Mg concerta and smoked a blunt and about had a heart attack. My heart has never beaten that fast. It was terrifying. I felt high for hours with terrible chest pains and anxiety is already a problem for me. I was freaking tf out. Now my head feels like the temples are being pushed. And chest feels weird as fuck.
both drugs can cause the heart to pick up, mixing both together in high amounts and thats what you get
Except for the eating thing, what you describe is my everyday.
You should switch to Adderall.
Methylphenidate sucks.
mabey not ajust the strength but the frequency, if its working, but only for 4 hours, just take another 4 hours later
@@therideneverends1697 he doesn’t want me to take 60mg a day. I’m not on it anymore.
I'm at the end of my OD experience - at least I really hope. I literally was convinced I was having a heart attack. I actually might have...
As someone who suffered from anxiety this is terrifying
I know what’s the fucks happening life is a lie
Damn, looking shredded man!
Is there someone got answer? My ADHD med make me sleepy after taking 1hour I don't even know why this is happen to me..
What dosage, if I may ask?
Ooh, you've described my symptoms. When I was on an even higher dose of vyvanse, I developed a mild for of tardive dyskinesia too. These meds are scary
Did u overdose because I think im having an overdose but I'm not sure
I got diagnosed 2 months ago, and in the span of this 2 months the doctor prescribed me from the starting point of 10 mg to gradually reach 40 mg, im taking this 40 mgs (4 pills total a day, 2 on morning or noon, and 2 at afternoon or evening (cant remember exact hours but as prescribed i wait the bare minimum of 4 hours before remedicating) and now im having panic attacks, my hearth's racing, my body is weak and numb and eyesight sore, i also hyperventilate a lot and all this is driving me crazy and i don't know what to do since doc is in vacation
the first time i ever took adderall it was great for a few hours. after that it was
the most uncomfortable experience. my heart was racing and it gave me extreme anxiety.
It’ll do that lol it’s a shame I like to live on the edge ugh 😂😂😂
I overdosed at the wrong time. I was supposed to take 150mg wellbutrine, took 900mg, and was supposed to take 20mg Escitalopram, but took 60mg. Then took 84mg Esketamine which f*Ed up my cardiovascular system a bit. I was tachycardic.
I have almost the opposite problem, i barely get any effect from almost max dose… 70mg right now
i acidentally took too many pills today, glad i found this video.
Sometimes moving in a silly, playful way helps too
I overdosed in 2016 got rushed into hospital on drips and my body hasn’t felt right since , my head keeps running away from me constant battle with mental health I wish their was a way to be my old self again my life’s such a mess because of me overdosing years ago I know it’s that that caused it
A lot of what your saying is undeniably relatable for me lol it’s like you are describing what I was feeling to and I mean I don’t know if you got adhd or anything but then again we did take the same drug which obviously provides basically the same feeling so…
Never felt like I needed to attempt to double or increase my dosage due to self experimentation. There is some crazy stories out there
My psychiatrist just upped my dosage of methylphenidate (from 10mg + 10mg to 20mg +20mg) and I was expecting to feel more energetic, instead I feel frozen.
Strattera always made me crash for a few hours but now I’m taking it with Vyvanse and I feel amazing now
I was proscribed a bit too much, my heart is beating pretty fast and I have a twitch where my thumbs go in circles and my wrists go in circles
Yeah i only get it if im not sleeping enough or missed a meal
