This worked on Xbox on 2/13/21 - thanks! . A couple of callouts, don't complete Gambler 10 until until you have completed all of the other challenges minus Herbalist 9 and 10, have the 38 Herbs that you can get in the open (non restricted) world without using the buggy trick, and are going to replay the Chapter 2 mission Who is Without Sin. I tried this with a couple of different saves and it looks like being awarded the LOTE this way its tied to completing Gamber 10 during the mission after the other challenges (minus Herbalist 9 and 10, with all but the Herbs in the restricted zone collected) have been completed. When you replay Who is Without Sin, I noticed the cutscene happening after two hands of poker were won. What worked for me was to win the first hand without going all in, then wining the next two hands by going all in early, then finishing the mission.
@@tanner6184 You will need to play on a save without gambler 10 completed. On that save complete all of the challenges minus herbalist 9 and 10 (but with 38 herbs collected on herbalist 9). Once you have all done that, replay The Who is Without Sin mission and complete gambler 10 then. After that complete the mission and you should receive the LOTE outfit. I hope this helps.
@@tanner6184 I once got the outfit when making a run for the Prairie Poppy, at that time i already did Gambler 10. I still haven't found the perfect sequence, so Eco Stress can be up to something.
Update: You can get the LOTE outfit for Arthur even with 37 out of 43 herbs. Just confirmed this as of March 12, 2021. Just follow the steps. Complete all challenges except Gambler 10 and Herbalist 9. For Herbalist 9, you can get just 37 out of 43 (without plants in New Austin and Blackwater). Make sure no challenges are left. Once you got the 37 plants, repeat Who Is Not Without Sin Mission in Chapter 2 (Press Start, Go to Progress, Select Chapter 2, Select Mission and press Y (triangle on ps4). When you get to the poker game, select play. Do not bet on the first hand. It is a sure win. Then go all in on the 2nd and 3rd hand. Once you won 3 straight poker games, leave the table and finish the mission. Once done, LOTE outfit will be unlocked and waiting for you at any wardrobe. Good luck guys.

@@Zennique BTW, there was another glitch that I heard of where you can get the LOTE outfit using Bandit 10 instead of Gambler 10 as last challenge. Will confirm this soon. I was so spent as it took me literally 3 days to complete all challenges as Arthur for the LOTE outfit.
@@christiangedbagay7549 My first outfit i got after picking the Prairie Poppy near Blackwater. All other challenges done. Can't remember wich chapter or other key points. My second time i got it after i won 3 poker games in a row in Saint Denis to finish Gambler 10 in chapter 4. 3rd time i finished with Gambler 10 after i replayed the riverboat gambling mission in chapter 4 (2 garanteed wins) and the replaying the reverend mission, 1 garanteed win. So finishing with Gambler 10 is the way to go but there are more ways to get the outfit. But the good thing is you can get it as Arthur!
@@Zennique yup. That's the best part. That I can get it as Arthur. I think it's pretty unfair to him that he can't use the legend of the east. Will update in a few weeks re: Bandit 10 challenges.
UPDATE: Can confirm this works as of 09-14-2021. Latest patch too (1.27). Thank you for this my friend. Points to remember as I see a lot complaining in the comments section: 1. You can access the LOTE outfit for Arthur ONLY in Chapter 3 because you need the Horse Fence (Finish Horse Flesh for Dinner Quest first to Finish Bandit 6 Challenge) 2. Do all challenges EXCEPT Gambler 10. Finish this LAST. 3. For Herbalist 9, collect only 38 herbs including English Mace near Window Rock. 4. Repeat Mission He Who Is Not Without Sin and go all in on the poker game everytime till you win 3 times (opponents will either fold or lose). This will complete Gambler 10 mission. 5. Finish the mission. 6. Get LOTE Outfit in wardrobe. Note: If you have done the Gambler Challenges already, YOU CANNOT GET THE LOTE. Gambler 10 must be done in the replay of Who is not Without Sin Mission. Hope this clears up everything. Thanks again.
@@jakebohon6447 Yes, you can do challenges and upgrade medals while replaying missions. You can't keep any items, money, hats, weapons, horses, etcetera though.

Still works on PS4! And I can confirm that you 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐓 need to complete Herbalist challenge 9 (I only had three species of herbs so just pick some herbs for assurance). Make sure you complete all challenges except Gambler 10, and Herbalist 9 and 10. Replay the mission "Who is Without Sin" and 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐓 go all in in the first hand (if you do, then the cutscene will appear and you won't be able to win three in a row). Go all in in the next two hands then complete the mission to finish Gambler 10.

@@charisvoivatopoulos3717 Use a shotgun, not a double barrel, with regular ammo. Find a O'Driscoll camp. Don't get to close. Activate deadeye and auto tag 3 heads with hats on. Shoot. Plenty video's on TH-cam.
I would just like to confirm for all of my fellow PC players. This strat still works as of 11/25/2022. I got it to work early-midway through chapter 3. I still have Fine Joys of Tobacco, An Honest Mistake, and Magicians for Sport as available missions. Chris Bakker is an absolute chad. Thanks dude.

But again, the lovely thought of Arthur wearing Legend of the East outfit made me complete these Gambler challenges and go for the glitch. I also completed Herbalist 9 along the way using wagon method and fulfilled all challenges as Arthur.
Does this work on the PS4...if you are already in chapter 4? As in I have not completed the herbalist (at 38 current) and have not done any gambler challenge...help plz...

Hello friends, this worked for me on PC on 5/5/2022. I just wanted to say thanks a lot for the video. I spent a lot of time seeing how to collect the missing herbs from New Austin (for herbalist 9) from various videos and all of them were not very informative or very difficult to do, so this video was a life saver! Really appreciate it and cant thank you enough. LOTE CH3 as Arthur!!

holy flipnugget it worked i jus did it on my ps4 only had 12 herbs had to replay the mission about 4 times to win 3x in a row but once i finished the mission the legend of the east notification popped up thank you so much man!
Thank you so much for this. I did it. I had to redo the gambling mission with Swanson twice, but I did it. Also, I had 39 herbs (prairie poppy) and it worked.
This worked for me as of July 19, 2021 - PS4. Thanks Chris Bakker for the cool tip. I really didn't fancy doing the buggy trip to New Austin for those last five herbs -- can save that for the epilogue now (I did get as much as I could in the Bronte-Grave Robber mission). I did mess up the first time as I saved the Gambler Challenge 10 until last and won three games in a row during free roam. I then went to my wardrobe and the outfit wasn't there. This method ONLY works in the Swanson Mission and you will not get the LOTE outfit without completing all the challenges any other way than this one.
Just did it tonight on my pc with only two herbs(11_26_2021). The card game gave me little trouble but I found out play the first hand normally no raising unless they do. then I'd let it ride after that( FYI they didnt fold everytime) took me 3 trys . I did this on accident while completing the gambler challenges as John, didn’t even know this glitch existed until I found this video. I was 6 out of 10 on the Herbalist challenges.
I have to make a new video cause you only need to complete Herbalist 1 for the Herbalist challenges. All other challenges must be completed and then Gambler 10 while replaying this mission.
Did this in chapter 4 with not doing any challenges, before you do Angelo bronte man of honor do all the cheats you want, with the horse cheat you can get silver dapple pinto. Then do the mission normally after it’ll auto save, load the autosave then go to bed sleep and skip the party then pick the letter from Mary Linton then you can manually save.
I was thinking about putting in the cheat for all outfits cuz I could not finish gambler mission thx for this I'm rocking this out fit with Micahs revolver and double action
Hey Chris, It worked!! I reluctantly reloaded a save where I didn’t have gambler 10. Played and won 2 hands at camp, left and retried Sin and bingo! I have the outfit 9 missions into Ch3. You Sir, are a Legend. 👍👍👍
07/27/2021 Update PS4 Offline Legends of the East outfit for Arthur early chapter 3 only two challenges remain before I attempt to get the legends of the East outfit. The dreaded Horseman challenge 10 Hungarian half-breed and the herbalist challenge 9. The Hungarian half-breed Horseman challenge is kicking my butt right now
You will need 35 herbs (never tested it myself, only 38 herbs) for Herbalist 9. For the HH i would look between the bridge and Flatneck station. Reasonable stable spawn.

@@Zennique I found that HHB right outside Riggs station a few seconds after your response that's when I found out I forgot to save Gambler challenge 10 for last. In the past I only played for the storyline and left most of the challenges for John. But I will start over I am determined to let Arthur Morgan Dawn the Legends of the East Outfit because he is the true legend of the east in Red Dead Redemption 2. I am one of the rare gamers left because I play offline only. Hopefully after this play through with no mistakes Arthur Morgan will Dawn the Legends of the East outfit. For all of his Blood Sweat and maybe some Tears..
@@Zennique I'm a old school player Chris from battery-operated handheld units with dots on the screen. From the 1970s to what it is today. But soon offline playing will be a thing of the past because they will be forcing you to have a internet hookup in order to play the games. That's why I consider myself one of the last of the dying breed of players offline single-player
Idk some ppl would collected fewer than 20 and still got the outfit. When u think about it, it doesnt make sense that 38 would be the magic number. Im thinking about doing the gambler 10 with just a handfull of herbs in herbalist 9 to spare mysef the tedium of it all.
Hi Chris, thanks for getting back to me, much appreciated. So I first saw this video about a month ago, I was very excited about getting the outfit early. I’m on my 4th playthrough and was around 46% completion without doing Americans at rest. Working toward all challenges up to bandit 5, sharpshooter 5? and no survivalist. I was a little concerned as I had already picked 2 Acuna star ready for exotics challenge before getting to herbalist 9” which wouldn’t have been a problem prior to seeing this. Anyway I thought I would continue towards this goal. Now in chapter 3 just after ‘horse flesh’ with all challenges done bar bandit 10, herbalist 9 (37/43 Acuna star not spawning). Replay ‘without sin’ win 2 games and Arthur stands up ‘bye gotta run’ . Bummer. At the win of the first hand there is no notice of 1/3 wins for gambler 10 nor on the 2nd hand, Win or lose Arthur leaves after 2 hands. I did try winning 1 hand elsewhere then doing retry for the final 2 hands consecutively, but it appears they must be done in one sitting. I have since got gambler 10 in camp, I will retry ‘without sin’ when I get home to see if it still only allows 2 hands, or if this only happens when gambler10 is active. Keep up the good work 👍 , Rockstar, don’t be so Anal. 👌👈
Just tested, i played 5 hands, win, win, loss, win, loss. So definetly not patched. Worst case, do the replay 3 times. It will count for Gambler 10. There are video's on Gambler 10 in wich they first do the chapter 4 riverboat gambling mission, it gives 2 wins, and then they replay the reverend mission. No pop up for starting the Gambler 10 first win. Only at the end.
8/8/2021 The trick just worked for me. Of note, I only had 19/43 herbs for herbalist 9. So it seems that the number of herbs you have is probably irrelevant.
Yeah i dont even know what to do now. Finished every single challenge up to herbalist 8 and it didnt unlock. Ive got 39 herbs since i took a prairie poppy before i saw this vid. I got that plant before english mace but i cant imagine that would stop it from unlocking. Other than that idk everything else is done and arthur cant get to new austin anymore
Yep i went and got the english mace and it didnt unlock. Rockstar makes no god damn sense. "Hey lets make the best outfit in the game unwearable by the main character." So damn annoying.
4/17/2021: This still works. I had only had 38 herbs found for Herbalist Challenge 9 including the prairie poppy. The Acuna Star Orchid was missing and will not be available until after the Exotic Quest #3. I completed the Sharpshooter and Gambling challenges and when I got back to camp, the Legend of the East outfit was available.
Holy shit thanks, this still works as of July 14 2021 on Xbox one. But, just like a previous poster said It worked with only 35 out of 43 herbs. Everything else I did the same, this is nuts what a find lol
PS4 Red Dead Redemption 2 offline. 08/06/21..With the legends of the East outfit Quest behind me. Only three missions into chapter 4 I have decided to take Arthur Morgan to the max. All 90 challenges totally finished. All special equipment from the 90 challenges purchased. And Arthur Morgan the true Legend of the East has Max Health Max Stamina and Max Deadeye. Through all the Playtime and start overs I have never maxed Arthur's Health stamina and Dead Eye before I've only accomplished level eight. Lot of time but in my opinion well worth it. Use the Angelo Bronte glitch chapter 4 to get new Austin herbs and legendary animals still working till this very day . Maybe a little misleading because it doesn't appear on the player option screen that only displays maxed out as 8 Health stamina and Deadeye.. However on your minimap it shows maxed out 10 Health 10 stamina and 10 deadeye.
What version do you have? 'Cause in all the PC versions, there are no herbs or legendary animals while doing the Bronte glitch. Only legendary fish, normal animals, special hats, Otis Miller's revolver, ram skull mask and the Tiger striped Mustang.
Sorry about the reply a little lengthy PlayStation 4 format I guess offline story mode only. No access to the internet Herbalist challenge 9 pick 43 herb species six or seven of them are scattered about in new Austin only, legendary animal hunt legendary cougar, Pronghorn, Tatanka bison and a legendary bass along with a few other animals only located in new Austin The Gila monster the six banded armadillo maybe one or two I'm forgetting sorry. If you don't do the chapter 4 Angelo Bronte glitch a man of Honor or find another way to access new Austin early you will have wait until chapter 6 epilogue part 1 or 2 and John Morrison finishes.
@@04330303 Ok, you probably on V1.0. All newer version can do the Bronte glitch and get everything in New Austin except the legendary animals and the 4 remaining herbs.

Hmmm. Didn't seem to work for me but I wonder if I know why. I have finished all challenges other than herbalist 9/10. I have 37 herbs. The last challenge I completed was gambler 10. BUT I NOTICED that I was 2/3 of the way through gambler 10 when I finished my last sharpshooter challenge. On the way to that, I had done the "Fine Night of Debauchery" mission on my first playthrough, so I already had 2 wins in a row (since they were fixed). To complete the challenge, I just went to a random poker game and went all in so everyone folded and the challenge completed with that 3rd win. BUT I WONDER if it didn't trigger the outfit because I actually had already started the gambler 10 earlier. I do have a save just before that poker game. I could go back to that save and then lose my next poker hand on purpose so that the gambler 10 challenge resets. Then replay Fine Night of Debauchery. Anyone think that would work? Edit - Sadly, this did not work. I reverted the save, then I lost a game of poker (folded) so that it would break my streak of 2/3 that I already had. Then I did the mission "Fine Night of Debauchery" so that I got two guaranteed wins. Then went in a game and went all in so that I would get a third win. No outfit available in wardrobe at Saint Denis tailor and not available in catalogue.
08/03/21 PlayStation 4 offline red dead redemption2 Legends of the East outfit quest for Arthur Morgan early in chapter 3 weapons expert challenge complete survivalist challenge complete Sharpshooter challenge complete master hunter challenge complete horsemen challenge complete Explorer challenge complete herbalist challenge 36 species picked. Only the remaining Bandit challenges 5 through 10 remains. With Gambler challenge 10 waiting in reserve for the replay mission who is not without sin. It's been a long process but Arthur Morgan will Dawn the legends of the East outfit the final update and the results of Arthur's Quest in a few days..
In this second Quest I will not make the mistake I made in my first quest for the legends of the East outfit without going to new Austin I'm confident I'm on the right track and soon authur will be wearing the legends of the East outfit can't wait Arthur deserves it because he is the real legend of the East.. in Red Dead Redemption 2
i see that you can use can use this method and get the outfit. Unfortunately, the boost stat dont come out with the outfit unless you finish all the challenge. You still need to finish herbalist 10 to get a special stat.
It is possible to get the outfit in chapter 3 you just need to do the mission for John and Javier about stealing the horses then you can get the bandit challenges done
June 21, 2021. Not sure how many people are still playing this amazing game after all this time but I'm going to try this and see if it works for me PS4 console offline story mode should be interesting to see if it works without having to go to new Austin. Will update when my journey is complete.
I commented before in this video asking if this works and.... IT DID!!!! I got arthur the legend of east outfit on chapter 3 😭🙌🏼 here's how it went for me: 1.) I completed all the challenges except herbalist 9 and gambler 10. 2.) Before i replay the reverend mission, i have a total of 18 herbs ONLY, so it doesn't matter how many herbs you got, you will get the outfit if you follow the steps in this video. 3.) when it comes to the poker, i tried it several times cause either the cutscene will trigger after two wins or the other npc will win the round. So if either of those happen, just reload your last save and replay Who is not without sin, keep reloading/replaying until you win 3 consecutive wins in poker. There's no strategy cause the game makes it random, so just go All in. 4.) Finished the mission and i got the outfit. I play on ps4 ver. 1.00... this video is a gem and im glad i found it, thank you! 🙌🏼
Got it on PC in ch3 April 6 2021. Did all challenges except herbalist 9(37 outta 43) and gambler 10, did gambler 10 replaying the mission like shown in the video and the outfit appeared in my inventory after I finished the mission.

@@BRD333 Yes it does. You can get all but dino bones, herbs and legendary animals. So Otis Miller's revolver, tiger striped Mustang, special hats, trinkets, normal animals, legendary fish etc can all be collected in that mission.
You can also use cheats to get this outfit even tho you cannot save. Just double play the game, rush the story without cheats and make a save. Then continue to rush the story and make another save. Then reload the PREVIOUS save and play the game with cheats enabled. If you come to the point where your “legit” save file is then just reload the game and rush the story again. Skip cutscenes etc etc. Do the same thing explained above. And play it with cheats like you regulary would. Pro : you dont lose anything since cheats give you all outfits and weapons and money back within one minute. Con : you “double” play the story ( less annoying if you already completed the game and know the story so you can skip cutscenes )
Unfortunately it doesn’t work / was patched. I am finding out on 10/03/2020. I have all challenges done except Herbalist 9 and 10. I collected 38/43 herbs. All 37 from New Hanover and 1 from New Austin (Prairie Poppy). Upon completion of all this, nothing happened.

News!!!!! I got the Lote outfit after doing gambler 10 with this method and I'm at herbalist 2 (all other challenges done ofc). It caught me so off gaurd. This mission does miracles.

After dropping Reverend to his tent and the screen going back to present arthur, it said that I got the outfit. Speaking of herbalist, man it's a PITA to do 9 with Arthur. I'm currently at 40. herbs.
I have a problem and I was wondering if anyone could help. Basically my gambler 10 is bugged or something because no matter how many hands of poker in a row I win, it just don’t count for some reason. Anyone have the same problem

@@DENN0 Gambler 10 is bugged. Google it. Had it to in the Saint Denis saloon, 4 wins and nothing. If you are in chapter 4, you can (re)play the riverboat gambling mission (2 wins) and then the reverend mission (1 win) Otherwise get 3 wins replaying the reverend mission. It will work.
PS4 offline Legends of the East outfit Quest for Arthur Morgan early in chapter 3, ends in an unfortunate start over because I didn't save Gambler challenge 10 for last. But fear not Red Dead Redemption fans I am determined to have Arthur Morgan Dawn the legends of the East outfit not a duplicate because he is the truth Legend of the East in Red Dead Redemption2.

Use the Appleseed wagon and go to new Austin, needs abit practice but it can be done! The herb in Blackwater u can do it at night time just with your horse!!! The only thing that let Arthur wait till chapter 3 is to unlock the stable in Rhodes because you need to sell the stolen horses!!!
Unfortunately this is PC only. I'm on PS4 as well; I've done all other challenges AND got myself some Prairie Poppy (so 39 herbs total), still needed the last 4 herbs to complete Herbalist 9. Technically you need to complete Herbalist 10 to get LotE outfit but I'm assuming you've had the necessary herbs and meats already. This is as of late Dec. '20.
what if im already finished in gambler 10, have 38 herbs in herbalist 9, currently in chapter 2 going chapter 3 for the remaining bandit challenges, do i still have a chance for LoTE?
I’ll try this later tonight on ps4 and update my results. I’m wrapping up survivalist 10 at the moment.. will finish bandit ones once I steal the turkoman from braithwaite’s then do gambler 8&9 make my save and pick some herbs and try it if it doesn’t work with just a few herbs I’ll do it like in the video by picking all the ones I can.
@@rigorodriguez32 Hope you get lucky on both Gambler 8 and 9. I think Gambler 9 is more a PITA, cause you have to do that in 1 go. So no stopping and restarting the game a day later. 8 can be done over a couple of days if you want.
@@Zennique yeah very true it was a pain lol. However as of 15 minutes ago it’s confirmed it works on ps4. Only picked 4 plants saved gambler 10 for the last replayed mission and worked like a charm.
Arthur Morgan is the Workhorse in this Western epic tale, He surely deserves the best outfit in the game. And Rockstar deprives him of it shame on you Rockstar but I have Arthur's Back. Will put in the time and effort required to get him the legends of the East outfit not a substitute he surely deserves that

@@Zennique I'm on a new Quest I want to 100% complete the game three complete playthroughs only to come up one Mission short three consecutive terms. I've heard talk of a bank robbery with Charles in Rhodes that mission is not on the standard edition.. finally getting a little frustrated after a few years of playing this game my last play through 99.6% complete 106 missions complete with a ?? Everything else is checked off including the ridiculous exotic search for feathers and orchids. I did receive a very cool pistol from him
@@04330303 In the game menu there is a list of all things you need for 100%. I always forget to visit the theater in Saint Denis. You must go and see a show there.I think it is the theater near the policestation.
@@04330303 you might be glitched or didn’t do the priest missions or mary’s missions I’m sure you know of this some missions might be white in the radar but are in fact considered story missions (which means that when you do them they’ll be put in the chapter missions and will have a medal on them) Also you might’ve not done good, honest snake oil (missable) that’s considered a story mission I hope I didn’t give you more of what you know (:
I didn't know this was a thing, I replayed that ch 2 mission so I could carry the rev into great plains to catch and break my last horse for horseman 10 and was greatly surprised to see I had the LOTE outfit message. I was searching to find out if the benefits from LOTE outfit only work while he's wearing it or not ? and found this.
@@Zennique I don’t think this is true. When you look up the bonuses for the LOTE, under Arthur’s stats, it says these bonuses are permanent. I believe wearing it hot or cold weather is the only thing that actually requires wearing the full outfit.
Hey how did you complete the horseman challenge 10? Also do you have to do challenges in a specific order? I'm about to embark on this journey. Bummed that I have to sacrifice an Arbian.😔

@@dcarwalk If you replay the reverend mission, and while searching after playing the pokergame, you can find one between the station and the bridge. Catch it and it will count. Make sure you finish the mission normaly. You can find the HH also there outside the mission but it can take some time to spawn.

I actually experienced this. The trick is to not strike out your opponent. Did you go all in and both of them lost? Just bet the minimum on the first hand. You always win the first hand. Then go all in on the 2nd and 3rd hand.

Im currently stuck on Horseman 9 (ill get it eventually) and have already unlocked Gambler 10 and Herbalist 9 ready for this method but im at 0 Herbs. What do u recommend??
This worked on Xbox on 2/13/21 - thanks! . A couple of callouts, don't complete Gambler 10 until until you have completed all of the other challenges minus Herbalist 9 and 10, have the 38 Herbs that you can get in the open (non restricted) world without using the buggy trick, and are going to replay the Chapter 2 mission Who is Without Sin. I tried this with a couple of different saves and it looks like being awarded the LOTE this way its tied to completing Gamber 10 during the mission after the other challenges (minus Herbalist 9 and 10, with all but the Herbs in the restricted zone collected) have been completed.
When you replay Who is Without Sin, I noticed the cutscene happening after two hands of poker were won. What worked for me was to win the first hand without going all in, then wining the next two hands by going all in early, then finishing the mission.

@@tanner6184 You will need to play on a save without gambler 10 completed. On that save complete all of the challenges minus herbalist 9 and 10 (but with 38 herbs collected on herbalist 9). Once you have all done that, replay The Who is Without Sin mission and complete gambler 10 then. After that complete the mission and you should receive the LOTE outfit. I hope this helps.

I still haven't found the perfect sequence, so Eco Stress can be up to something.

Update:
You can get the LOTE outfit for Arthur even with 37 out of 43 herbs. Just confirmed this as of March 12, 2021. Just follow the steps.
Complete all challenges except Gambler 10 and Herbalist 9. For Herbalist 9, you can get just 37 out of 43 (without plants in New Austin and Blackwater). Make sure no challenges are left. Once you got the 37 plants, repeat Who Is Not Without Sin Mission in Chapter 2 (Press Start, Go to Progress, Select Chapter 2, Select Mission and press Y (triangle on ps4). When you get to the poker game, select play. Do not bet on the first hand. It is a sure win. Then go all in on the 2nd and 3rd hand. Once you won 3 straight poker games, leave the table and finish the mission. Once done, LOTE outfit will be unlocked and waiting for you at any wardrobe.

All other challenges done.
Can't remember wich chapter or other key points.
My second time i got it after i won 3 poker games in a row in Saint Denis to finish Gambler 10 in chapter 4.
3rd time i finished with Gambler 10 after i replayed the riverboat gambling mission in chapter 4 (2 garanteed wins) and the replaying the reverend mission, 1 garanteed win.
So finishing with Gambler 10 is the way to go but there are more ways to get the outfit.
But the good thing is you can get it as Arthur!
@@Zennique yup. That's the best part. That I can get it as Arthur. I think it's pretty unfair to him that he can't use the legend of the east. Will update in a few weeks re: Bandit 10 challenges.
UPDATE: Can confirm this works as of 09-14-2021. Latest patch too (1.27). Thank you for this my friend.
Points to remember as I see a lot complaining in the comments section:
1. You can access the LOTE outfit for Arthur ONLY in Chapter 3 because you need the Horse Fence (Finish Horse Flesh for Dinner Quest first to Finish Bandit 6 Challenge)
2. Do all challenges EXCEPT Gambler 10. Finish this LAST.
3. For Herbalist 9, collect only 38 herbs including English Mace near Window Rock.
4. Repeat Mission He Who Is Not Without Sin and go all in on the poker game everytime till you win 3 times (opponents will either fold or lose). This will complete Gambler 10 mission.
5. Finish the mission.
6. Get LOTE Outfit in wardrobe.
Note: If you have done the Gambler Challenges already, YOU CANNOT GET THE LOTE. Gambler 10 must be done in the replay of Who is not Without Sin Mission. Hope this clears up everything. Thanks again.

Still works on PS4! And I can confirm that you 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐓 need to complete Herbalist challenge 9 (I only had three species of herbs so just pick some herbs for assurance). Make sure you complete all challenges except Gambler 10, and Herbalist 9 and 10. Replay the mission "Who is Without Sin" and 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐓 go all in in the first hand (if you do, then the cutscene will appear and you won't be able to win three in a row). Go all in in the next two hands then complete the mission to finish Gambler 10.

But again, the lovely thought of Arthur wearing Legend of the East outfit made me complete these Gambler challenges and go for the glitch. I also completed Herbalist 9 along the way using wagon method and fulfilled all challenges as Arthur.

holy flipnugget it worked i jus did it on my ps4 only had 12 herbs had to replay the mission about 4 times to win 3x in a row but once i finished the mission the legend of the east notification popped up thank you so much man!

This worked for me as of July 19, 2021 - PS4. Thanks Chris Bakker for the cool tip. I really didn't fancy doing the buggy trip to New Austin for those last five herbs -- can save that for the epilogue now (I did get as much as I could in the Bronte-Grave Robber mission). I did mess up the first time as I saved the Gambler Challenge 10 until last and won three games in a row during free roam. I then went to my wardrobe and the outfit wasn't there. This method ONLY works in the Swanson Mission and you will not get the LOTE outfit without completing all the challenges any other way than this one.

The card game gave me little trouble but I found out play the first hand normally no raising unless they do. then I'd let it ride after that( FYI they didnt fold everytime) took me 3 trys . I did this on accident while completing the gambler challenges as John, didn’t even know this glitch existed until I found this video. I was 6 out of 10 on the Herbalist challenges.
I have to make a new video cause you only need to complete Herbalist 1 for the Herbalist challenges.
All other challenges must be completed and then Gambler 10 while replaying this mission.

For your next playthrough you can do this as Arthur.
Did this in chapter 4 with not doing any challenges, before you do Angelo bronte man of honor do all the cheats you want, with the horse cheat you can get silver dapple pinto. Then do the mission normally after it’ll auto save, load the autosave then go to bed sleep and skip the party then pick the letter from Mary Linton then you can manually save.
Where is the fun in that?

07/27/2021 Update PS4 Offline Legends of the East outfit for Arthur early chapter 3 only two challenges remain before I attempt to get the legends of the East outfit. The dreaded Horseman challenge 10 Hungarian half-breed and the herbalist challenge 9. The Hungarian half-breed Horseman challenge is kicking my butt right now
You will need 35 herbs (never tested it myself, only 38 herbs) for Herbalist 9.
For the HH i would look between the bridge and Flatneck station.
Reasonable stable spawn.

In the past I only played for the storyline and left most of the challenges for John. But I will start over I am determined to let Arthur Morgan Dawn the Legends of the East Outfit because he is the true legend of the east in Red Dead Redemption 2. I am one of the rare gamers left because I play offline only. Hopefully after this play through with no mistakes Arthur Morgan will Dawn the Legends of the East outfit. For all of his Blood Sweat and maybe some Tears..

But soon offline playing will be a thing of the past because they will be forcing you to have a internet hookup in order to play the games. How many herbs did you collect for herbalist 9 before doing the rev swanson mission?
@@TheCubeGuy1000 I believe it’s 38. I don’t remember the exact number, but it’s every herb available in the world except for those in New Austin.
Idk some ppl would collected fewer than 20 and still got the outfit. When u think about it, it doesnt make sense that 38 would be the magic number. Im thinking about doing the gambler 10 with just a handfull of herbs in herbalist 9 to spare mysef the tedium of it all.

Hi Chris, thanks for getting back to me, much appreciated.
So I first saw this video about a month ago, I was very excited about getting the outfit early. I’m on my 4th playthrough and was around 46% completion without doing Americans at rest. Working toward all challenges up to bandit 5, sharpshooter 5? and no survivalist. I was a little concerned as I had already picked 2 Acuna star ready for exotics challenge before getting to herbalist 9” which wouldn’t have been a problem prior to seeing this. Anyway I thought I would continue towards this goal.
Now in chapter 3 just after ‘horse flesh’ with all challenges done bar bandit 10, herbalist 9 (37/43 Acuna star not spawning). Replay ‘without sin’ win 2 games and Arthur stands up ‘bye gotta run’ . Bummer.
At the win of the first hand there is no notice of 1/3 wins for gambler 10 nor on the 2nd hand,
Win or lose Arthur leaves after 2 hands. I did try winning 1 hand elsewhere then doing retry for the final 2 hands consecutively, but it appears they must be done in one sitting.
I have since got gambler 10 in camp, I will retry ‘without sin’ when I get home to see if it still only allows 2 hands, or if this only happens when gambler10 is active.

There are video's on Gambler 10 in wich they first do the chapter 4 riverboat gambling mission, it gives 2 wins, and then they replay the reverend mission.
No pop up for starting the Gambler 10 first win.
Only at the end.

The trick just worked for me. Of note, I only had 19/43 herbs for herbalist 9. So it seems that the number of herbs you have is probably irrelevant.

I got that plant before english mace but i cant imagine that would stop it from unlocking. Other than that idk everything else is done and arthur cant get to new austin anymore

4/17/2021: This still works. I had only had 38 herbs found for Herbalist Challenge 9 including the prairie poppy. The Acuna Star Orchid was missing and will not be available until after the Exotic Quest #3. I completed the Sharpshooter and Gambling challenges and when I got back to camp, the Legend of the East outfit was available.

PS4 Red Dead Redemption 2 offline. 08/06/21..With the legends of the East outfit Quest behind me. Only three missions into chapter 4 I have decided to take Arthur Morgan to the max. All 90 challenges totally finished. All special equipment from the 90 challenges purchased. And Arthur Morgan the true Legend of the East has Max Health Max Stamina and Max Deadeye. Through all the Playtime and start overs I have never maxed Arthur's Health stamina and Dead Eye before I've only accomplished level eight. Lot of time but in my opinion well worth it. Use the Angelo Bronte glitch chapter 4 to get new Austin herbs and legendary animals still working till this very day . Maybe a little misleading because it doesn't appear on the player option screen that only displays maxed out as 8 Health stamina and Deadeye.. However on your minimap it shows maxed out 10 Health 10 stamina and 10 deadeye.
What version do you have?
'Cause in all the PC versions, there are no herbs or legendary animals while doing the Bronte glitch.
Only legendary fish, normal animals, special hats, Otis Miller's revolver, ram skull mask and the Tiger striped Mustang.

No access to the internet Herbalist challenge 9 pick 43 herb species six or seven of them are scattered about in new Austin only, legendary animal hunt legendary cougar, Pronghorn, Tatanka bison and a legendary bass along with a few other animals only located in new Austin The Gila monster the six banded armadillo maybe one or two I'm forgetting sorry. If you don't do the chapter 4 Angelo Bronte glitch a man of Honor or find another way to access new Austin early you will have wait until chapter 6 epilogue part 1 or 2 and John Morrison finishes.

All newer version can do the Bronte glitch and get everything in New Austin except the legendary animals and the 4 remaining herbs.
I confirm still works as of sept 09 2021! Herbalist 9 does not require 38 herbs, I only got 5 herbs! Thanks Man for your tips! I gonna try if it will work without all challenges completed, it might be just tied to completing gambler 10 to the reverend mission

Hmmm. Didn't seem to work for me but I wonder if I know why. I have finished all challenges other than herbalist 9/10. I have 37 herbs. The last challenge I completed was gambler 10. BUT I NOTICED that I was 2/3 of the way through gambler 10 when I finished my last sharpshooter challenge. On the way to that, I had done the "Fine Night of Debauchery" mission on my first playthrough, so I already had 2 wins in a row (since they were fixed). To complete the challenge, I just went to a random poker game and went all in so everyone folded and the challenge completed with that 3rd win. BUT I WONDER if it didn't trigger the outfit because I actually had already started the gambler 10 earlier. I do have a save just before that poker game. I could go back to that save and then lose my next poker hand on purpose so that the gambler 10 challenge resets. Then replay Fine Night of Debauchery. Anyone think that would work?
Edit - Sadly, this did not work. I reverted the save, then I lost a game of poker (folded) so that it would break my streak of 2/3 that I already had. Then I did the mission "Fine Night of Debauchery" so that I got two guaranteed wins. Then went in a game and went all in so that I would get a third win. No outfit available in wardrobe at Saint Denis tailor and not available in catalogue.
Probably the reverend mission is the only way then.

It's been a long process but Arthur Morgan will Dawn the legends of the East outfit the final update and the results of Arthur's Quest in a few days..

In this second Quest I will not make the mistake I made in my first quest for the legends of the East outfit without going to new Austin I'm confident I'm on the right track and soon authur will be wearing the legends of the East outfit can't wait Arthur deserves it because he is the real legend of the East.. in Red Dead Redemption 2

i see that you can use can use this method and get the outfit. Unfortunately, the boost stat dont come out with the outfit unless you finish all the challenge. You still need to finish herbalist 10 to get a special stat.
If you want the stats, use the buggy trick.

You can finish the Herbalist challenge in Epilogue.
Or if you can't wait for the stats, do the buggy trick.
It is possible to get the outfit in chapter 3 you just need to do the mission for John and Javier about stealing the horses then you can get the bandit challenges done
As you can see in the end of this video, it is indeed chapter 3.
All other challenges can be done in chapter 2.

Then you can do Bandit 6.

June 21, 2021. Not sure how many people are still playing this amazing game after all this time but I'm going to try this and see if it works for me PS4 console offline story mode should be interesting to see if it works without having to go to new Austin. Will update when my journey is complete.

I commented before in this video asking if this works and.... IT DID!!!! I got arthur the legend of east outfit on chapter 3 😭🙌🏼
here's how it went for me:
1.) I completed all the challenges except herbalist 9 and gambler 10.
2.) Before i replay the reverend mission, i have a total of 18 herbs ONLY, so it doesn't matter how many herbs you got, you will get the outfit if you follow the steps in this video.
3.) when it comes to the poker, i tried it several times cause either the cutscene will trigger after two wins or the other npc will win the round. So if either of those happen, just reload your last save and replay Who is not without sin, keep reloading/replaying until you win 3 consecutive wins in poker. There's no strategy cause the game makes it random, so just go All in.
4.) Finished the mission and i got the outfit.
I play on ps4 ver. 1.00... this video is a gem and im glad i found it, thank you! 🙌🏼

Got it on PC in ch3 April 6 2021. Did all challenges except herbalist 9(37 outta 43) and gambler 10, did gambler 10 replaying the mission like shown in the video and the outfit appeared in my inventory after I finished the mission.

You can get all but dino bones, herbs and legendary animals.
So Otis Miller's revolver, tiger striped Mustang, special hats, trinkets, normal animals, legendary fish etc can all be collected in that mission.
You can also use cheats to get this outfit even tho you cannot save.
Just double play the game, rush the story without cheats and make a save. Then continue to rush the story and make another save. Then reload the PREVIOUS save and play the game with cheats enabled.
If you come to the point where your “legit” save file is then just reload the game and rush the story again. Skip cutscenes etc etc. Do the same thing explained above. And play it with cheats like you regulary would.
Pro : you dont lose anything since cheats give you all outfits and weapons and money back within one minute.
Con : you “double” play the story ( less annoying if you already completed the game and know the story so you can skip cutscenes )
Cheats is a no go for me.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work / was patched. I am finding out on 10/03/2020. I have all challenges done except Herbalist 9 and 10. I collected 38/43 herbs. All 37 from New Hanover and 1 from New Austin (Prairie Poppy). Upon completion of all this, nothing happened.

I got the Lote outfit after doing gambler 10 with this method and I'm at herbalist 2 (all other challenges done ofc). It caught me so off gaurd. This mission does miracles.

I have a problem and I was wondering if anyone could help. Basically my gambler 10 is bugged or something because no matter how many hands of poker in a row I win, it just don’t count for some reason. Anyone have the same problem

Had it to in the Saint Denis saloon, 4 wins and nothing.
If you are in chapter 4, you can (re)play the riverboat gambling mission (2 wins) and then the reverend mission (1 win)
Otherwise get 3 wins replaying the reverend mission.
It will work.

PS4 offline Legends of the East outfit Quest for Arthur Morgan early in chapter 3, ends in an unfortunate start over because I didn't save Gambler challenge 10 for last. But fear not Red Dead Redemption fans I am determined to have Arthur Morgan Dawn the legends of the East outfit not a duplicate because he is the truth Legend of the East in Red Dead Redemption2.

Use the Appleseed wagon and go to new Austin, needs abit practice but it can be done! The herb in Blackwater u can do it at night time just with your horse!!! The only thing that let Arthur wait till chapter 3 is to unlock the stable in Rhodes because you need to sell the stolen horses!!!

Unfortunately this is PC only. I'm on PS4 as well; I've done all other challenges AND got myself some Prairie Poppy (so 39 herbs total), still needed the last 4 herbs to complete Herbalist 9. Technically you need to complete Herbalist 10 to get LotE outfit but I'm assuming you've had the necessary herbs and meats already. This is as of late Dec. '20.
what if im already finished in gambler 10, have 38 herbs in herbalist 9, currently in chapter 2 going chapter 3 for the remaining bandit challenges, do i still have a chance for LoTE?

Gambler 10 must be last.
Only way is to finish all challenges and the Herbalist with the buggy trick.
I’ll try this later tonight on ps4 and update my results. I’m wrapping up survivalist 10 at the moment.. will finish bandit ones once I steal the turkoman from braithwaite’s then do gambler 8&9 make my save and pick some herbs and try it if it doesn’t work with just a few herbs I’ll do it like in the video by picking all the ones I can.
Got Information that Herbalist 1 is enough so no need for the other Herbalist challenges.

I think Gambler 9 is more a PITA, cause you have to do that in 1 go.
So no stopping and restarting the game a day later.
8 can be done over a couple of days if you want.

It is not a main quest , it is not needed for 100%.
@@Zennique I'm on a new Quest I want to 100% complete the game three complete playthroughs only to come up one Mission short three consecutive terms. I've heard talk of a bank robbery with Charles in Rhodes that mission is not on the standard edition.. finally getting a little frustrated after a few years of playing this game my last play through 99.6% complete 106 missions complete with a ?? Everything else is checked off including the ridiculous exotic search for feathers and orchids. I did receive a very cool pistol from him
@@04330303 In the game menu there is a list of all things you need for 100%.
I always forget to visit the theater in Saint Denis.
You must go and see a show there.I think it is the theater near the policestation.
@@04330303 you might be glitched or didn’t do the priest missions or mary’s missions
I’m sure you know of this some missions might be white in the radar but are in fact considered story missions (which means that when you do them they’ll be put in the chapter missions and will have a medal on them)
Also you might’ve not done good, honest snake oil (missable) that’s considered a story mission

I didn't know this was a thing, I replayed that ch 2 mission so I could carry the rev into great plains to catch and break my last horse for horseman 10 and was greatly surprised to see I had the LOTE outfit message. I was searching to find out if the benefits from LOTE outfit only work while he's wearing it or not ? and found this.
You can get your core rings up to the max after doing all challenges.
The suit "powers" are only available while wearing it.

@@Zennique I don’t think this is true. When you look up the bonuses for the LOTE, under Arthur’s stats, it says these bonuses are permanent. I believe wearing it hot or cold weather is the only thing that actually requires wearing the full outfit.

@@dcarwalk If you replay the reverend mission, and while searching after playing the pokergame, you can find one between the station and the bridge.
Catch it and it will count.
Make sure you finish the mission normaly.
You can find the HH also there outside the mission but it can take some time to spawn.

You can do all challenges in chapter 2 except Bandit 6.
Yeah, use a shotgun to shoot off hats from a far in the saloon on Valentine, worked fine for me.

I actually experienced this. The trick is to not strike out your opponent. Did you go all in and both of them lost? Just bet the minimum on the first hand. You always win the first hand. Then go all in on the 2nd and 3rd hand.
