I so greatly appreciate, this useful visual. My 12 year old Lab/Golden Retriever fur baby hurts. She's always been super active, since I got her at 8wks old. Her incredible obsession/abilities for Frisbee action, caused her to have major surgery 4 years ago. I intend on massaging Marlee, with your therapeutic/nerve focused tutorial💞🐾🐾 Thank you~
i suggest waiting until the dog lays down, then start. do everything the video says, like waiting by it and putting your hand on its head to see if they are comfortable.
maybe you should do this after they’re really tired and exercised? i can see stretching and massage being really good. i want a border collie and it would be really healthy i think to do this, especially with athletic dogs.
@@comfortmei agree and if one can achieve this then the pup will naturally start calming down for 'massage' time. Make it consistent and special. Dogs won't forget the wonderful experience right???
@@comfortme You are right. I have a poodle, who are one of the high energy breeds. She is jumping, running and playing all day. But when she knows it's massage time, she would relax and let me do it 🥰
Hi i recommend 30 minutes physical exercise ex walk tug of war and 10 minutes mental stimulation. Ex puzzles look up home made ones or buy them hope this helps
If I massage one of my dogs, I'll get surrounded by my other 3 dogs. Also the 4 cats I have want massages too hahah I gotta stop taking animals I find in the street home.
My vet advised me to do the circular motion on my dogs inner and outer hip He does not like it, although he likes the rest of the massage It seems to me this indicates a more serious problem in his hips than the vet is aware of I am super gentle Any one have thoughts? Another week until my next vet appointment Thanks!
I would listen to what he's telling you and not do the circular motions on him there. You can just do the smooth, slow, soothing strokes, if you can tell he likes that.
My pup thought this was a "cuddle" session and flipped over on me and wiggled around until I played with him lol, he still got a rub down in, so I guess it kinda still works as a massage lol
Wow. So i did this thing just because i felt like he will enjoy some human massage so i think i dont need you all openion. That's cool. I learnt it by my own. And i never new about it. I just searched because i gave massage to my dog and i did better then her. Never mind. Take my advise and work on ear and neck and half lower back bone
My dog starts biting me when I stop because he wants more. I often get hand cramps because he loves his head scratches! He loves his head being massaged!
Not true. My puppy loves his head being scratched. I do a head rub scratch for his and all of a sudden his eyes start to roll back in his head and he starts heavy panting, he is in pure ecstasy when I do it, I often get hand cramps because he just wants more and more!
Dogs generally tend to pant when outside and about, he’s a big boi and generally that’s how they cool off!! If he was uncomfortable he would have gone elsewhere!
Considering heavy fur coats and the fact that dogs don't sweat, panting is pretty standard. Now if they're hyperventilating, that's when they're not relaxed
My 15yr dog loves it. She fell asleep mid massage
I normally do massage my fur babies now i will do it once a week. They love ❤️ it. Thank you for sharing proper way do so.

Dogs listen to Beethoven, respect!
Me at 3:30am watching this
3:06 AM for me. Haha! 🙌🏻💖💖💖
Thank you soo much...
i did this to my twins too, included a move to things through the intestines
Nice ❤
My dog is 28 years old - she has a mass age.
Ummmm... 🤔 What kind of fur baby do you have? Hard to believe~
28 year 😳
The oldest dog ever recorded was 29 years old and 5 months, I can't help but doubt that your dog is 28, do you perhaps mean 28 in dog years?
How many days in a year?
Typo ??
Super it's very useful for my dogs too
Thanks very much for the fantastic explanation 🎉👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Tried on my friends crazy roommates dog who is severely depressed. I think it improved the dogs mood but she would not lay down. Any tips?
why is the dog severely depressed??
i suggest waiting until the dog lays down, then start. do everything the video says, like waiting by it and putting your hand on its head to see if they are comfortable.
Just massage her standing up. She may relax and lay down herself after a while. If not, a standing massage is fine.
I hope she’s okay :(
I now do some of those moves before during and after a bath on my 2 dogs and they LOVE it❤😂
Me thinking my dog can relax. My dog:🦗🦟🦗🦟🦗🦟🦗🦟🦗🦟
same girl

I messaged my dog, and now I'm waiting for mine. Thank you, just what my rescue needed. Almost asleep
Lol so basically petting your dog. 😂 that dog is really cute. It looks like mine. I rub my dog every day and she loves it.

I enjoyed watching the massage. But I’m afraid that the backgroud piano music was rather distracting...
My dog did not like that were you be tied that you grapes it😢

My dog ain't waking up🗿
I have to make this joke in USA we give dog hair cut and everything in Russia dog does it for us
Well i would prefer US one bc dogs deserve it better
Massaging his peepee will strengthen the bond much faster. I found that out after massaging many of the dogs in my neighborhood in this way.
Peeper means?
A heavily panting dog is not generally one who's relaxed. Also, that looked like petting to me.

Dogs pant when they are relaxed too. They use it to regulate their body temperature. A panting CAT always means a stressed cat.
Also looks like a warm day
