I have a 16 year old Chihuahua who suffers from arthritis due to the broken bones she sustained at the hands of her abusers before I rescued her 10 years ago. I massage her every night and do her nebulizer as well for her whooping cough. I lover her so much and her sister a 12 year old Yorkie who just showed up at my door not long after I brought the Chihuahua home . Dogs are precious.

I also have an older Chihuahua. He has arthritis in his neck from his old owners abusing him.he also has hip dysplasia. When I massage him,it just relaxes him so much..he sighs and usually ends up falling asleep
@@Ninastarr yep, they close their eyes in relief when you massage them. Mine is starting to lose her sight, I'm torn and dreading the day.

I massage my dog nearly each day on the tight or tense muscles, sometimes more firm, sometime lighters, and some light stretching
it doesn't solve his issues but he definitely likes them mostly and it makes him more relaxed, tight muscles cause even more joint pain, and they like they physical touch, he is on my channel btw lol

I realize this video is 2 yrs old. Do you have any other videos? I adopted a 10-11 month old German Shepherd mix, he was severely beaten and tortured. He was screaming in pain two days ago so I had x-rays taken of his spine. Vet did not recommend adjusting his spine. If I don't do something for him, I will have to put him down. I've fostered many dogs, but this dog is very special, very docile and so eager to please, I never have to tell him not to do something twice. He is incredibly intelligent. This is heartbreaking, he truly is one in a billion. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I'm definitely going to try these on my 10 year old Boxer mix. He was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in his hips. He's on Meloxicam, so with that and massage he should feel better.

So glad I found this recently took my 12 year old lady to the vet for limping, all health vitals were cleared, but I wasn’t able to afford anything more than anti inflammatory medication (saving up for X-rays) I could tell she really enjoyed this hoping it brings some sort of relief until we get her checked again
FYI I recently got an rx for carprofen for my pup and was able to get them at chewy for muuuuuch cheaper. About $2.60/pill at the vet, 50¢/pill on chewy! I’m not sure if it’s placebo effect for me or not, but it seems like my senior pup is much happier on some NSAIDs!

Thank you for this video. I’m hoping it can help my mum’s dog. For the last 4-5 days she suddenly stopped going up stairs or jump onto the sofa. The vet said that her lower back muscles are very tight and she might have made a wrong move that caused the muscles to seize up. She is 9 and also arthritic.

I massaged my Saint Bernard often and he lived to 13. Vet said he was the old St, Bernard he’s seen. R.I.P Hercules
Iodine in the form of kelp also is important for dogs thyroid health and can use power on their food.
Our vet recommended Confis Ultra taken with Vit c and Calcium for my dog who's showing signs of arthritis. They really helped his condition. His limp got better and was showing less pain (before it was hard for him to sleep, he'd walk left and right at night and was panting a lot). After a few days of taking these he got better. Also, my vet didn't prescribe nsaid and tried the Confis first. I do suggest for you to check it out with your vet first before giving it to your dog.

Gluten can cause arthritis in people so put dogs on gluten free diet and give them properly cooked meat like turkey mince, chicken and eggs are good for them along with carrots and green beans. Calcium tablets and zinc are also good to include in their diet.
