I love both versions of this figure. That head sculpt is incredible. That’s probably the best Superman head Mcfarlane has done and it’s not even him. It has that Fleischer Supes vibe, as well as Dick Tracy or Fearless Fosdick, too. The head of that older Superman you compared him to is in that same style. My only issue with this Shazam figure is that that bolt on his chest is white. It should be yellow since this is the classic version, the comic cover shows this version in the background. The white bolt is more of a modern aesthetic. It’s fine I suppose. Thanks for the review.
Hey, I found my Platinum Red Hood Joker in the collector’s section at one of the Walmarts where I live. You might want to check there for Plats if you still need that one.
“He’s as obscure as fu@k.”…😆 That was funny & very true. This alternate version of Capt. Marvel doesn’t get his powers from a wizard named Shazam who’s name is an acronym of names from Greek gods. This kid gets powers from a Native American shaman but his name isn’t Thunder, although the word Thunder is an acronym for abilities he will posses as Capt. Thunder. What’s more wild is there’s an African American version of Capt. Thunder too! Crazy. Glad to watch your review, I got this variant but going to keep it in package.

I think it’s based off the modern version which looks very close to the classic version
The comic is pretty new

I heard about the Native American origin but I didn’t know there was black Captain Thunder
I'm just using this as my Captain Marvel (funny enough, this guy was a bit easier to get over the reg version).
It was Captain marvel since 1939 I wish people were real superhero fans. My dad taught me this in 1997
So, if someone doesn't know his name, that means they are not real superhero/comic fans?
It was captain marvel in the 30s
Shazam when dc got him in the 50s?
Captain thunder was dcs fake captain Marvel until they got Shazam
Tomorrow's my birthday so I'm hoping I run into one of these Shazam figures
Good luck
Happy Birthday!
A little more history on Capt. Thunder he had to rub his belt buckle and say "thunder" out loud to transform from boy to hero and vise versa.
Interesting and dumb
Good reuse of the mold. 😂❤
Oh absolutely
GOTTA GET 'EM ALL
I got 'em all! Finally!
I want to see the review of that red hood
It looks cool. It’s a pass for me. I’m still waiting for a mad hatter figure from mcfarlane.
Captain marvel ws DC comic before marvel
Just bought Captain Thunder😂
I ordered a Shazam (cap marvel) and got captain thunder.... So pissed.
Damn
You won the lottery but didn’t want it
@@dHuntersReviews for real. I've ordered 2 and am hoping against hope that one will be a Thunder.
