It makes my heart soar to see what a loving father you are. I enjoy the videos and seeing the techniques you use in your crafts. I see it as art. Thank you for sharing it with all of us.
I am really appreciating your videos, Juaquin. I'm learning so much! But one thing that especially touches my heart is what a great, loving father you are.
jingle dress originated from my tribe. Mille lacs band of Ojibwe we were the first to make the jingle dress... its an honor to have that noticed in the video
Autumn Ballinger there are stories from whitefish bay Ontario about the jingle dress as well, there are stories about the jingle dress from Mille Lacs, Leeche Lake and whitefish bay Ontario, and there are documented evidence that the jingle dress was around in the late 1900s, I believe all Ojibway people should be proud to have brought the jingle dress to First Nations people, and no disrespect to your reserve, but I don’t believe any certain reserve can take 100% credit, if anything the creator and spirits created the jingle dress, they should get the credit
Thank you so much, my kids are both half navajo, and me and my husband, who was born on the rez but moved up to the city young, have been looking for how to make a jingle dress or just regalia cuz he wants to dance too, i thought it would be impossible! thank you for not letting this beautiful culture die and sharing it with us!!!!!
Good job explaining things. Im a professional seamstress, and seems to me you covered points very well. This was helpful. We have a friend who is a single father of two beautiful half-Navaho girls. He does fantastic with them, taking them to pow-wows and helping them to meet Native leaders. Unfortunately, he's a Scottish Viking with no clue how to make regalia for them. So, guess who's been enlisted. I do beadwork, too, so that doesn't scare me, but I haven't seen the traditional methods and dress since I was a child. Looking forward to hunting down and watching the rest of your videos.
SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE 1ST NATION PPL. I'm Mexican but I love you guys. Joaquin You got some good videos. I was able to learn how to improve in my beadwork from your vids. :) MAKE MORE VIDEOS.
