Fun fact: in the church scene Terrence Howard tearing up was not scripted. It was just that beautiful.
Fun fact: The neighbors that Terrence gave the weed too to turn down their music are three 6 mafia, they wrote every song for this movie and won an Oscar for the soundtrack.
Taraji is the best part of any movie she's in. So pretty, and an incredible talent.
Big Facts!!
You should check out the movie “Four Brothers” as well. It’s a loaded cast with Terrence, Tyrese, Andre 3000 and Mark Wahlberg. Not a blockbuster but still a great movie
One of my favorite movies for sure! Made me wish I had brothers lol
Four brothers was boring as hell
Nextttt Movieeeee
Andee acting wasn't good
@@essgee4225you wild asf to say that “Four Brothers” is honestly a great movie FOH 🗣️
Fun facts bout this movie for you MJ: the song Whoop That Trick was originally made by the rapper Al Kapone and Lil Jon and Hard Out Here For a Pimp was made by memphis rap group Three Six Mafia who won a grammy for the song as well.
Oscar.
Three 6 Mafia performed at the Oscar's along with Taraji P Henson singing. Their win was the most exciting part that night
Yep And Now The Song is featured on "Memphis Wrestling"
I remember after watching the first episode of Empire, I had to come back and watch a few scenes just for Taraji and Terrence
@@PauloHernandezXD yeah that first season was awesome. I didn't even keep track of what happened with that idiot
@@PauloHernandezXD yeah my mom kept track of the show until the final season and I watched some channels that did recaps. I didn't keep track of anything with Jussie. I still haven't watched anything about him lol
@@PauloHernandezXD my thoughts exactly. It's not my life or my problem
Hustle & Flow is basically a prequel to the show Empire if you think about it
The fact that my stepdad is in this movie & I didn’t notice until a couple of years ago when my mom & him pointed it out. I’ve been watching this since I was 7. 😂😂😂😂 Amazing reaction as always MJ ❤💙
what scene was he in ?
The Fourth of July party
"Hard out here for a pimp" won a Oscar...the first for hip-hop
When i was still back home in N.Y. i saw Terrence Howard while i was looking for a job when i finished talking to the Manager on my way out he even said "Good Luck" until this day being acknowledged by this man meant the 🌎 to me i've been watching him since "Dead Presidents"(1995) he's a great actor and you should check him out in "Four Brothers"(2005) also.
That's awesome!
MJ went from calling this a basic movie to a 10/10 😂 I swear your reactions be having me dying lol and you’re super authentic (crazy beautiful❤) I love how you always speak your mind about how you feel.
Btw that song by Three Six Mafia “hard out here for a pimp” won a Oscar and it was the first hip hop group to do it.
Technically Eminem was the first hip hop artist that won an Oscar for "Lose Yourself". Three 6 mafia were the first African rap group that won an Oscar. But came in second for a hip hopnartist to win an Oscar.
@@VinniBane he clearly said group you just wanted to bring up eminem 😂😂
26:30 DJ Paul from 3 6 mafia
33:56 Juicy J
This film was based on 3 6 Mafia and how they got started
Fun Fact: Terrence Howard played as Jackie Jackson on The Jacksons The American Dream. So he has singing rep!
This movie always hit home for me. Definitely with me being from Memphis,TN & wanting to be a Producer/Artist. Love this reaction MJ 💙.
Yessir 901!!!
MANE that's that memphis lingo 😅Gotta love our accent
Say Mayne that's right. Shots out to the M town from Little Rock Arkansas
Beat and song so legendary for “Whoop Dat Trick” they play it in football and basketball arenas and got fans of all ethnicities saying it
Even "Memphis Wrestling"
Taryn Manning is awesome in this movie. She's dope in everything to be fair.
Facts!! She definitely was great in this role. Her and Taraji are the heartbeat of the movie.
This movie is dope and great soundtrack
I bought the soundtrack after it released. Every track was a crunk club banger.
Never clicked so fast to a reaction in my whole life until I saw you was gonna react to one of my favorite movies Hustle & Flow. I really enjoyed your reaction! And yes skinny black threw that tape in the toilet on purpose. This movie basically made Terrence Howard a even bigger star. For this role he was nominated for a Oscar for Best Actor. The highlight of the Academy Awards was when 3 Six Mafia won the Oscar for best original song "Hard Out Here for a Pimp" which they wrote. The Academy Awards are not known for picking rap songs to win so when they won it was definitely a shock and a exciting moment at the time.
The fact the tape was hanging out the cassette implies Skinny ruined the tape BEFORE he threw it in the toilet
I just realized this is basically a movie about Sugar Free 😂. Didn't dude marry his bottom bih? Nah but he had his hz singing on his tracks too. I think this movie won an Oscar, too.
lol.. 😂🤣7:28 He's a Pimp so his role is management
of the money, clients and protection.
The movie was set in and shot in Memphis, Tennessee (my hometown) that explains their country accent 😂 and it’s a classic because of how authentic it is to Memphis culture
This is such a good movie for real. And this a real classic and the very first time that I saw this movie was when it came out on DVD. I was in my late twenties when I saw this movie for the first time. And I really love your reaction to this movie. And whenever you react to this movie you are so honest and you are a lot of fun and you are down to earth whenever I watch this movie with you. And it has been 18 years ago since this movie was first released in theaters.
this could of had a sequel showing DJ getting out and now being a hot rapper and all the things he do to adjust to being a rapper now.
I used to be obsessed with this movie back in high school but not anymore. I still like it but don’t really love it all that much because there are so many disrespectful moments that get on my nerves like with Ludacris character Skinny Black. Terrence Howard and Anthony Anderson are both awesome actors from Big momma’s house and Anthony from Barbershop.
i like to think hustle and flow and Empire play are somehow connected lol
Checkout the movie "Colors" Everyone in that movie are movie stars and half became MEGA STARS. This movie alone is the reason they DONT mention "real" gangs in gang movies or cop shows. Everyone wears Black. I heard some movie theaters had Riots!!
@@PauloHernandezXD I've never seen people suggest it. I seen someone a long time ago do warriors.
Great reaction MJ ❤ Skinny definitely didn’t let that cassette fall in the toilet, it had the tape pulled out
MJ
I LOVE your reaction to this (It was so real, empathetic, very genuine - "You understand what was in that man's heart"). This film always hits a note in me, no matter how many times I watch it. "A true classic."
38:09 it didn’t just fall in the toilet because if you look at the tape the thing was ripped out so no one can take it out the toilet and try to listen to it. Skinny did it on purpose 100%.
Mid life crisis usually happens around 40’s and up to 60
The White Girl is known for the Tv Show Orange is The New Black but of course she’s in so many other Movies
Low key classic 🔑 very underrated movie 🔥 🎥 🍿
This is one of, if not the best performances by Terrance Howard. He movie had great music, great acting, and great writing.
This movie is a classic love the video MJ stay motivated Dream big 1 mill on the way
hey this is a american drama film movie and is great i watch this long time ago and terrence howard look like he deserve to get nominated for playing this role him and taraji p henson
Loving your reaction selections! Keep it up MJ
U being a Spanish girl from the hood ain’t no way half these movies u reviewed u ain’t see yet there’s no way, i meant i get the concept of you channel but saying u seeing some of these for the first time is crazy
I’m 100% honest about what I have seen and what I haven’t stg 🙏
I died after MJ turned to the camera and said "this shit is ass" when terrence was tryna spit. Was thinking the same thing 🤣😂
I have this movie on Blu Ray somewhere in my house. Me and my friend kept singing that "whoop that trick" song back in the day haha. Oh, snap! Mo Money was on the poll haha. That's a good one too. The Wayans bros are funny and Stacey Dash was bae.
I wish Empire would return with our final 2 episodes that was supposed to back in 2020 in the final season/Season 6. And, they never needed to cancel Star, too. Star was another hit show on FOX.
Terrence Howard and Taraji P Henson are best friends. They're good together in Four Brothers movie, Hustle And Flow movie and Empire tv show.
Keep hustling keep flowing 🔥🎶🎤
You did it this morning, girl! Good bounce-back movie! I'm not rocking with Martin in drag...
Glad you did this😊 Happy 2024🎇
Fun fact.....In EMPIRE, Terrance Howard and the guy who played his son Jamal in the show ..they did a song together and Terrance actually said "Whoop That Trick" LMFAO
I can't believe Terence Howard only made 12000 from this movie
Taraji p, broke me in "Hidden Figures", had my eyes leaking
Everyone needs a Shug in their life. Not every girl will get you a lava lamp.
I meet all of them I was there when they was filming here in my city Memphis 😅
11:00 first time I seen him was in
Romeo must die - Jet Li
Really good movie great soundtrack
Not mj bringing the ice out for this reaction
Empire was based after the event of this movie
26:30 its dj Paul from THREE6MAFIA
That accent all down through the south.. I've lived in Mississippi my whole life. Everybody talk like that. White folks, black folks and everybody else. I know a Chinese dude who sound just like DJ.. 😂😂😂
They in Memphis I believe
& then EMPIRE was born lol you would love empire. Staring both of them MARRIED

It’s hard out here for a pimp. Love this film
I've been really impressed with your reactions. I like how articulate, emotional and informative. To be as young as you are it really impressive. I believe you are destine for so much more. You should look into being a Tv personality, like sports commentor, talk show host, News reporter. Thats your gifts, you are very warm and engaging personality. Everybody has gifts. Some sing, some acting, some play sports and you are a very beautiful young lady. I think when the time is right you will be a great mother and wife. Im 54 but you remind me of someone from my generation. Which was GenerationX, i went school before there were computers and cellphones. We had to go to the library and do research and investigate and read. You should read and research things for yourself. What ever your interested in or about! Dont feel bad about movies that were around before you were born. There was music and movies around before i was born. We all continue to grow and expand our knowledge. Im sure you know more things now than when you were a kid. We all grow and turn into adults. With age comes wisdow. Your parents and grandparents were kids at one point in there lives. You continue to inspire and grow. Thats the God in you. We all have a piece of god in us! When i can i will support your pateron channel! Continue to keep your head to the sky! Thats a old saying and Earth, Wind and Fire Song. I grew up on old 70's songs. I love old hip hop. When it inspired and had something to say. The only younger rappers i listen to is like J. Cole, Kendrick lamar, Joey Badass. I grew up on Krs-one, Public enemy, Eric B & Rakim, LL cool J, Big Daddy Kane, Queen Latifah, Mc Lyte, A tribe called Quest, 2Pac, Nas, Biggie, Jay Z to name a few. Inspire to be like those who motivate and inspire. Dont follow those who try to tear down and harm!
I love the way you talk. You be true to you sweerheart! You are black to me. Your ancestors are the same as mine. You are just mixed with a little spanish! Some people hate because there lives are so hurt and feel with pain. Like Pac said in his song 'baby dont cry'. They win when your soul dies! Let your light shine! Beautiful little Sister!😊
She was crying when they lady and her baby were thrown out because she was the one basically raising the lil boy she took care of him love.
I recommend Four Brothers and Crash.
Thanks MJ. Always coming thur. Always enjoy your reactions. Big YES!!! Its hard out there for a pimp. Won a soundtrack OSCAR. 365 Mafia. The first rap qroup to win one.
Hell na that tape aint fall lol he shreddred the tape out
i cant wait for shottas or 4 brothers she gon cry every classic
Three six Mafia made the beats fraysor boy wrote the lyrics both from MEMPHIS
I was looking for this Yesterday and it popped up Today 👍🏾
You know it's hard out here for a pimp.
You should listen to the soundtrack. All the songs they made in the movie are on there. And they sound really good. Give it a listen
I love your reactions you're emotional expressions are adorable and make me feel like im watching these movies for the first time again😁😁...if you get a chance could you react to "American Me" please? Its kinda like a more gritty and serious "Blood In Blood Out" and more historically accurate anout the California Prison systems. I think youll enjoy it😁😁🫠🫠
This has been one of my favorite movies since it came out still have to watch it once a year me and all my friends when we drink always have to play whoop that trick
ATL anyone?
check out "the big lebowski" & "tropic thunder" one of the funniest movies ever
That was dj Paul from three six mafia that answered the door
The blonde hair girl with the braids was in 8 mile B Rabbits ex

This reaction 😂😂😂🔥🔥🔥
This mf a classicccccc
One of your best reactions ✌️
Abra in the intro 😂
I can base sing I practice by listening to melvin franklin from the group The Temptations
Immortal Technique said he wrote "Revolutionary Vol 1" in prison, and when he got out and recorded it he said all the flows sounded the same because he was rehearsing his rhymes without a beat: Early 2000s. Nowadays people be recording audio & video from behind bars
Midlife” takes place approximately between the ages of 40 and 60,
The person who made this movie really loves Memphis and wanted to put as much as he could find authentic Memphis in it, except Elvis because he already gets a lot of attention.
You are so lucky to have not had a similar life to the likes of what this movie portrays. When Terrance is "venting" to the woman. She is seeing that side of him for the first time. That kind of life style probably only showed her the strong scary, mean side of him. I mean odds are he hit her once or twice so....yeah. these movies ideas, exaggerated at times, come from real life situations. Like Terrance telling the baby to cut the tear shit. I, unfortunately, have seen that and worse to get the kid to stop crying.
The Fact That Skinny Black Really Thought He Brought DJ Down By Throwing Away His Tape 😂 And By The End DJ Still Wins With People Hearing Him On The Radio
Love ur reactions homegirl💙🙏🏽
My movie frfr 💯
I remember that we she was sening
Your necklace is so ICY ❄️ 🧊
