I named my son, Tristan, after this character. Not knowing 19 years later my husband (at 50 yrs old) would have a massive stroke. He cannot read, or write, and has trouble with speech. This movie always hit me hard, but now hits even harder. Thank you so much for the reaction!
@@gingerbaker_toad696 yes 🙂 Trust me, I know about Thelma & Louise but that movie didn’t skyrocket him to super stardom yet, it only led to other movies that would make him the star that he is
I watched this movie when I was little. Its my mom's favorite movie. So much tragedy. And agreed. No one is really in the wrong. They are all human with emotions and trying to understand themselves and each other.
I can’t remember if I mentioned it before (sorry) but another “great” movie with Anthony Hopkins and Brad Pitt is “Meet Joe Black “!! Beautiful story and acting.
I don't understand how every one of the primary characters didn't win an Oscar, these performances were beyond outstanding. They weren't even nominated, it's a shame. An amazing story, beautiful cinematography, beautiful score. I this is without a doubt my favorite movie
One of my favorite movies that I revisit often! Along with Jeremiah Johnson (1972, with Robert Redford, an 1850's mountain man wilderness story), The Dresser (1983, a British theatre troupe soldiers on touring through the WWII bombing of England), The Dead (1987, John Huston's last film, adapted from a James Joyce short story set in 1904 Dublin), The Grey Fox (1982, a Canadian film about a train robber named Bill Miner starring Richard Farnsworth), and Glory which I see you've just reacted to as well, I'll watch that soon! All of these movies will make you think and make you feel. Good stuff. Thank you for sharing this one. 🙂
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!! ❤ Brad Pitt did an awesome job as Tristan. I didn’t like that he was his father’s favorite child, especially when he was the one that always messed up. 😩 I don’t like how their mother left them. Julia Ormond who played Susana was a hot mess dealing with every single brother 🤦🏾♀️ Seeing Samuel die killed me and it killed Susana even more (literally) when Tristan and Isabel named their son after him when she wanted to be his wife and have his kids when Tristan always knew that he didn’t want that. He was destined to be with Isabel 2. I’ve seen this movie so many times.
Great reaction guys, good to know you guys understood the film most peoeple give it praise, but I have seen the odd reaction of this film where it was clear they didn't get the film.
Anyone ever heard of the horror movie “The Cell” from 2000 staring Jlo & Vince Vaughn ? I think you guys should definitely give it a try CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED film !
I ADORE this epic movie. Such great character development, scenery, soundtrack, acting, direction. It’s all great. Seattle is again sending big love this day of the great eclipse. Cheers! 🥰💕✌️😊😘
Julia Ormond played Guinivere in First Knight with Richard Gere and Sean Connery. The Bear's name was Bart and in the final scene when the bear and Tristin fight, that was actually Barts owner who raised him from a baby cub. Bart has been in several movies. Bart is gone now but a couple other bears have taken his place.
God I feel so terrible for Susannah. Such a tragic character. She wanted a child with Tristan and call him Samuel. And now after he comes back and is healed he marries Isabel and they name their son Samuel.
This had one of the best musical scores I've ever heard. RIP James Horner
Great movie! But my favorite Brad Pitt movie is, "A River Runs Through It." Tom Skerritt plays his father in it.
One of my favorites since I saw it opening night in the Theater. I’ve watched it at least 8 times since . I cry every time . Great reaction ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
❤

I named my second son Tristan
Wow! I wish i had a son to name him Tristan 😊

Phenomenal movie right here one of my favorite Brad Pitt performance.
This was the movie that put him on the map
@@nsasupporter7557no, that was Thelma and Louise
@@gingerbaker_toad696 no, Thelma & Louis was the movie that got him noticed… but he wasn’t quite a star yet.
@@nsasupporter7557 oh that's what you meant
@@gingerbaker_toad696 yes 🙂

I don’t know if either of you have seen Meet Joe Black. Also an Anthony Hopkins and Brad Pitt movie. But if you haven’t I think you both would love it
Great movie 🎥And for the next couple of years many boys born in 94 and 95 were named Tristan 🎉
love this movie, amazing locations and story. just a really overlooked movie
Looks like Alberta because it is. Filmed outside Calgary
Love this movie. I don't know how many times I've watched and it still gets me. Great reaction ❤
I used to confuse this movie with A River Runs Through It, which is another great Brad Pitt film.
We'll add that to the list! 😊❤
Did you ever see Kalifornia? He plays a murderer in that movie
I can’t remember if I mentioned it before (sorry) but another “great” movie with Anthony Hopkins and Brad Pitt is “Meet Joe Black “!! Beautiful story and acting.

This was a fantastic movie to see on the big screen. - hi and ty Nick and Jen
Beautiful but hard movie!!!
Yes the youngest son is Henry Thomas who played Elliot in the movie “ET”.
Omg... for more than 30 years, I have recognized that face without putting together or put a name on it... damne yessss it's Elliot
I turned 17 the year this movie came out. My friends and I were all in love with Tristan! 😍
This was the movie that put Brad Pitt on the map… he became sexiest man alive when this movie came out also
It was a good death🖤
One of my all time favorite movies!
One of my most favorite movies EVER!
This is possibly my favorite movie of all time. It is beautiful and gut-wrenching, and Brad Pitt was at his finest. Great reaction.
If there was a genre called Tragedy, this movie would fit perfectly. Such a great movie but so sad.
You: Damn, this is a depressing story.
Movie: Hold my beer....
This movie is a masterpiece. And James Horner's score is outstanding!
Good movie, greetings and salutations to all

My personal TOP 3 movies of all time.

UNDERRATED is overrated!
31:24 The cop did not shoot her on purpose as one of the bullets ricocheted off the cliff face into her chest
One more comment, the US didn't join the war until the last year in 1917.
Anthony Hopkins is definitely one of the greatest actors ever
Yes! 😊

My favorite movie -- Actually it's tied with Goodfellas. Love, love, love this movie because it makes you FEEL things.

USA didn't join the war until the end, Canadian, Australians New Zealanders etc where all there from the beginning
One of my favourite movies ever, what a story and what a cast. Thoroughly enjoyed your reaction from start to finish, thank you so much. ❤
❤
I can't remember if you guys have seen an earlier film of Zwick's that was set during the civil war called Glory.
It’s coming out on our channel soon! 😊
@@Jen-Mom Awesome! Can't wait. Hope you both enjoyed it as much as I did.
Moms going to have lots of tears in this one!!!😢
Gorgeous movie, they dont make them like this anymore
Absolutely beautiful
I'm so happy you both loved this movie so much. ❤❤❤
"A River Runs Through It"
Alfred's "stuff" got injured when he was in the war...i think😮
Susannah wasn’t able to get pregnant with Tristan either.
I absolutely love this movie. One of the only movies to either happy tears of joy or heart wrenching ones. ❤ 😢
They wanted decker for boot legging.
I would've fallen for Alfred, not Tristen. He was so toxic. 🤣😂
I would’ve probably fallen for all three of them. 😂
Meet Joe Black is where you can go wrong with Anthony Hopkins and Brad Pitt.
